    When I was about ten mum and dad took me up into Derbyshire for a picnic. there were some very large boulders. As I clambered over them I lost my balance and began to fall backwards. Then I felt a hand on my back, saving me. Looking round I saw that I was alone. I keep meaning to find that place again. One day...

      That reminds me of a detail that a guy once mentioned in a crime show. He was talking about how some crazy man he was working for on a farm in Texas chased him through the woods trying to kill him: he had been shot but he managed to outrun and hide in a ravine. As he was bleeding out and finding it difficult to stand he heard a voice nearby saying "You've got to get up" and he answered with "I can't" - but there was nobody there, just him.

      I know what you mean. On one occasion when I went to the Long Mynd in Shropshire. I had my feet either side of a small brook standing on some wet stones, trying to get a good photo, and I said jokingly, "God do you mind moving that tree rightwards". As I tried to get my footing to get the best photo possible I slipped, and I felt myself falling and I was sure I was going to get a wet bum, as I fell backwards I felt a hand at the bottom of my back steadying me, and I regained my footing. I looked up and said "Thanks God".

    My grandad died in a nasty accident. We were devastated. The whole family. After the funeral my wife and I wanted to make some kind of silly gesture on the spur of the moment - a way of saying goodbye. He loved boats, so we made a little paper boat and launched it in a stream near his home. We watched it going down the stream. We looked at each other and realised that this moment that was supposed to be just a silly little gesture was actually extremely powerful and unexpectedly moving. Then we looked back to see the boat and it was gone. No sign of it. It was like grandad - there one moment, gone the next. It was such an unbelievably moving moment. A couple of weeks later, our little lad, 4 ,who wasn't quite old enough to understand what was going on - ran up to us both and exclaimed, "Grandad got his boat!"
    He's grown up now and doesn't remember it, but we'll never forget it.

    about the hand holding, and this is a true story I swear on God. The day my uncle died from cancer at around the same time, I was woken up to the feeling of someone who held my hand for a second and sweezed it then let go. It's a feeling I'm quiet used to, because a few of the men in my family randomly give this little squeeze at the end of hand shakes or they will grab you by the shoulder and do it... there's only 3 of them too. I was dreaming and woke up thinking about my uncle noticed no one was there in my single dorm at college and realized where I was and went back to sleep. I think my uncle was giving me a goodbye. We were very close.

      My aunt did this to me after she passed. I was feeling guilty about not going to see her in the hospital, but my mother had told me to stay home & remember her in the good times, as everyone who had gone to see her in hospital had been really upset by the state she was in. And I was sleeping on the couch in my living room when I felt someone squeeze my big toe & shake it, as my mother was in the habit of doing, when I was sleeping without any socks on. I instantly opened my eyes & realized I was alone, everyone else was still with my Aunt Lois. And after they got home & told me what time she had passed away & it was in the same moment I was waking up, when I felt that hand give my big toe a tug. I realized it was her saying 'good-bye' to me as she went, knowing I had wanted to be there & was feeling uneasy about it. It was incredible.

    Years ago I was having a few beers and it came about that I knew loads of people named Michelle. So we came up with the contest of seeing who knew the most people with the same first name. Think I knew about 12 Michelles, but didn't win. On the same night, I also mentioned how the Sami Hyypia football chant being sung by Liverpool fans at the time was based on the goofy 70s glam rock song Son of my Father. I thought it was interesting that the tune had been recycled for decades and was wondering how many football fans actually knew where the song they were singing came from.
    Anyway, later that same week I was listening to the Danny Baker radio show, and he was asking people how many people they knew with the same first name. I remember the news woman saying she was Scottish so knew millions of Fionas. I thought that's weird I came up with that very game just a few days ago. And then blow me in the same show Danny was talking about the football chant based on Son of my Father, and how he bet most fans didn't know where it came from. Now I was properly freaked out. I thought I had some weird mind meld with Baker, or he'd bugged my flat for radio ideas. Either that or my conversation bits were so fascinating they made it by word of mouth all the way to London in under a week. Or it was just coincidence. Effing weird anyway. Just like your book thing.

    • @cdwc
      @cdwc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes this sounds like exactly the same sort of coincidence as the book thing. Where it seems your mind has tapped into something before it has happened. I've had a weird thing where an old obscure song came into my head and then when I've turned the radio on five minutes later it is playing.

    Another great one Marek. One of the weirdest things that ever happened to me was in my hometown Utrecht, the Netherlands. I'd had a housemate who was a member of a christian student association, who I hadn't seen (or thought of) in about 12 years. One day I was standing at a traffic light that had a sticker on it from that same association, and I wondered whatever happened to the guy. The next second I heard someone calling my name. Alright! Thanks Marek, good vid. I have never seen or have I knowingly been visited by one. My friend Terrence has and I believe him. Terrence abduction happend on the way to my house. He was returning my tape of wrestle mania when a space craft landed on my road and took him to the aliens planet where he told funny stories and married multiple alien supermodels. After 5 years the alien leader give him a choice to stay there or to go home. He chose to come home as he had to return my wrestle mania video. When he returned he hadn't aged but had 5 years worth of alien knowledge. when he arrived at my house he told me the story and insisted we watch wrestlemania again. This sounds far fetched but we have proof the video had been wiped from the solar winds of space travel. Anyway he asked me to never to tell a soul of this story, but we have fallen out so I don't care. Tar man

    Ok cool dude, my story is: I was walking home after work one evening and a head about 10 feet off the ground peered at me from behind a wall anf then when I looked up at it, it shot back behind the wall in a mischievous manner. I thought it was a bunch of lads, horse playing with perhaps one on the shoulders of another - but when I reached the corner there was no one there. When I thought about what the person looked like, they had a long face in a greeny grey complexion and a grimace. Not the face or head of a young lad, so I was scared then and quickly made my way home.

My encounter(s) occurred in my old my childhood home: 1) I heard footsteps on the roof. 2) a loud moaning sound coming through the vents. 3) seeing an apparition of a young Indian or Hispanic girl walking past my bed, down the hall and out through a locked door. 4) Having a very vivid dream of being attacked by same spirit, only to wake up and find my bedsheet twisted tight around my neck, window open and the screen kicked out.

    I learnt about this yesterday from Shrouded Hand. One thing that unsettles me about this story is that the children never run from the clown or think it's dangerous (aside from the creepy noise he made). You'd think if the kids were intentionally making a story up to please their dad it'd be more overtly creepy. The clown never tried to hurt them in any way and he had a friendly voice to the kids. If the kids did make this up I bet they became good horror writers lol

    This is my favourite type of video I like reading about the strange, unexplained forces of nature & the universe.
    Spooky goings on:- I didn't believe in ghosts until the early 90's when I visited Royal Victoria Country Park late one night with a friend. Whilst along we both stopped abruptly & slowly drifting towards us was an apparition, (no lie!) Speechless & somewhat scared (putting it in polite words), we bolted for the car & sped off out the park! What we saw, unbelievably, was the "Grey Lady"👻. My theory of life is that if you go looking for something, like ghosts, you will never find them, they will just appear unexpectedly. Another weird thing:- my 🚴 lights keep coming on in my house & flashing & they are LED's, so no loose connections....spooky!
    UFO's & :- The US Defence force Dept keep track of UFO's so maybe they do exist?
    Thankyou for adding notebooks to your website shop, I will order some!

    That’s my story: I was playing with a friend long time ago, we were about 5/6 years old. Suddenly we noticed a shadow casted on the ivy fence that was separating my house from the neighbour’s. We stopped and we tried to understand who’s shadow was, but no one except my friend and me were there, also that shadow had the remarkable silhouette of a classic man in a trench coat and a hat just like a noir film. We tried to communicate with it but nothing, no answer. After a while it started to move to the right faster and faster, reaching over my other neighbour fence and disappearing in the distance. Years later I remembered this strange encounter and I googled “strange shadow with trench coat”. I was shocked because apparently I wasn’t the only one, many people have claimed to see something similar

    My wife's story: this was years back, but we were heading to a hotel for the night in Kingston, Ontario. We had our two kiddos with us. When we were driving by the prison, my wife abruptly asked " has anyone ever escaped from there?" I said no. I thought this an odd and random question, but carried on. When we got to the hotel, my wife was staring out the window. She turned to me and said "two bad things are going to happen". I was a little freaked out by this, but shook it off as my wife sometimes says strange things. We took our kiddos swimming, and then we all went to bed. In the early hours of the morning, I was awoken by my panicking wife. She told me "I was dreaming about your granny and I saw her die and when I awoke she was standing at the end of my bed looking at me and then you guys before disappearing" she told me to call my dad and grandpa right away which I told her "I'm not calling them in the wee hours of the morn, they would of called me I'm sure if something bad had happened". She was insistent, it was quite scary how she looked, she was as pale and shaking, but I calmed her down and she eventually went back to sleep. When she awoke at 8am she again insisted I call, and so I called my dad. "Sorry son, but your granny passed away in the early hours of the morning" I just said "I know" my dad confused said "how did you know?" "My wife told me" I replied. Then silence... obviously my dad was quite freaked out about this too. My wife who was embarrassed I told him that said "oh god" and cried. It was all a very scary and upsetting situation. We decided to leave the hotel early and go home. On the way home there was lots of traffic, my wife said "something is wrong, turn on the radio" which I did, and low and behold the traffic was due to a serial rapist escaping from the prison! The same damn prison my wife asked the day before if anyone ever escaped from there. So two bad things did happen as she said they would. Now this isn't the first time my wife has seen scary things come true. It scares the heck out of me and our friends and family when it happens. She doesn't know why it happens, she describes it saying "I cannot flick it on and off like a light switch, it comes and goes as it pleases".

      @spreadlovenothate.9372 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@grassboarder3001 I will never expect anyone to believe me, but I swear on my granny's grave that this did indeed happen. Our eldest son started showing signs of her gifts when he was just 2 years old. He is now 11. In 2015 when my wife was about to pop from our second child, our eldest son came bursting in the bathroom saying "he sees uncle" my wife who was on the toilet no less lol, questioned what he meant by that. Our son seemed to be following something on the bathroom roof. He then looks back down and says "uncle visits me" and then he walked away. My wife nearly fell off the toilet because our son had been telling us for a year now that he would see this man. He first spoke of this man when we resided in an old cabin off of Shawnigan lake, BC. I met my wife in BC when I moved there a ways back, we got married, had kids, and then decided to move back to Ontario. That's why we are in Ontario now. Anyways back at the cabin in BC he would tell us he sees a man leaning against the lamp post outback. We eventually moved into a townhouse in Langford where whoever he kept seeing followed us. He started seeing him there too and this person terrified him at times. Well weeks prior to my wife being told by our eldest that "uncle visits", my wife was talking to someone very dear to her that used to be engaged to her brother before he tragically passed from cystic fibrosis back in 2001. She told my wife that she bad recently saw a medium in Vancouver (mainland) and this woman picked up on the one she loved and lost, my wife's brother. She also said she saw "a little red headed boy and his mother". "The lil boy is named after the one you loved and lost." She was so stunned she contacted my wife to tell her. That is why my wife was so shocked when our son said that his uncle visits. She said she grabbed a photo book and had our son go through it and show her what uncle looks like. He pointed to the fire mantle where an old picture of his uncle was. A picture he did not know about, nor knew who he was. My wife said she found comfort in knowing that our son in some strange way at least got to meet his uncle, even if it was long after his death.

      Yes I bought a book all about the Alien abduction. I think they even have an Alien walk through the forest. I hope to do it one day. Stay cool.

    Thanks Cool Dude for your Insightful Walk. I think perhaps you should have gone on your walk in May this year 2023 to celebrate 50 years since the original Encounter. 😊👍🤡
