This is a great spooky walk around Cowes with a few places we’ve not walked by before. Our daughter collected all of the Gay Baldwin books during our many family holidays and we had great (and scary) fun reading out the stories. Must have a loan of them as they’re worth a re-read. Great idea to feature them for the walks
After 66 years you me the town I lived in and I remember (I think so) walking down a narrow street but after all these years everything has change. No hovercraft only a wooden ferry (!). It’s been really nice to see different parts of the island. Keep it up because like looking at videos. Cheers.🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Great walk. We were where you did the sketch of the cool kid. It was completely flooded and the water was up to the houses. Was that an owl in the picture of the three cool dude’s
Thanks as always for taking us along, Marek. I enjoyed the sounds of the growler. My older sister, Anne, once saw an apparition of another child in an old house we once lived. She named him Graeme Honestly though, I believe Graeme the ghost was just another attempt of my sister to psychologically torture me. I mean, it worked. Things would often go missing in that house; We all occasionally heard mysterious footsteps round half-past two.
You saying Cowes so much reminds me of one of your comedy sketches from years ago, which involved drinking copious amounts of milk and pulling an absolutely hilarious grimace.
£960 for that painting of waves... you could knock that out in under 15 minutes. The Mini Marek photos... Mini Marek in The Upside down has been the most creative (beyond riding Falkor) so far. I enjoyed that one the most. Also I picked Queen Lizzie's ghost and I always will. Haha. Brilliant episode my man
Yay! Mine and Rob's photos were at the end. Thankyou. As for ghost names I'd go for Thadius McConky. My mom genuinely knew someone with that name. Apparently he changed it when he got older. I think that nowadays he'd just be able to own it.
Huge flashbacks to my childhood with today's walk. Both the use of the word "jammily" and the fight for the front seat of the bus. Possible ghost names would be on the banal side for me. The likes of Keith, Penny or Mavis. Would love a Mavis ghost. Oh and tea came down my nose at the growler coment. 😂 Keep it up, Marek. CD#123

Hi Marek. 😃👍 Great walk, really enjoying these Ghost walks. Cowes is a beautiful part of the beautiful isle. There used to be a 'Beatle Themed' Cafe there at one time, we used it a few times. There were some proper laugh out loud moments in this episode too. We're having our annual holiday over there in the Summer again. Staying at Thorness Bay. Is it possible to walk from there into Cowes? I'd call the Ghost 'Aubrey'. A great name, & much under-used. 😃👍 Keep up with the brilliant videos mate.

Yes, it was a nightmare going over the downs. Thoroughly miserable in places with deep mud, and that wind!... After getting to Ventnor we took a tactical decision to go to Sandown on the bus and then walk back up the old railway line to Newport. 20 miles and everything hurts this morning!

I used to read Gay Baldwins books by torchlight while camping and being harassed by the supposed Boggart. Sadly ex husband binned them, must try to replace them to relive my misspent youth
