It’s similar to “We Are Shadows”, which was all clean singing except one part of the end. This has a more upbeat and catchy chorus… Also Mercedes, the drummer and sister of the singer, does the death metal growls you hear in the chorus of “Eyes Wide Open” and plenty others from the last 2 albums. She also adds her wonderful melodies to their songs on the album & live. They compliment each other well with the diverse screams. (The screams she lip syncs for this song during the pre-chorus is Morgan’s scream, but I’m sure she’ll do her death metal styles live for it as she does with “Eyes Wide Open”. Such a talented and cohesive band!
