What converter did you use for your RCA and remote wire ? I’m having issues with mine from kicker and schose I’ve don’t this multiple times I can’t get power out to the remote
I have a question, did you change the stock amp cause the old one stopped working or you just wanted to upgrade? I just got me a used E70 4.8L that had rain damage so I had to replace one of the fuse boxes under the passenger side dash cause the truck wouldn't start. and i replaced the DVD CD player and music CD player that big box the screen plugs into and i changed the dash screen to a android screen but I have no audio 🔉 so I'm pretty sure the stock factory amp has rain damage as well (the old owner left the sunroof open) thanks for the details you put in your viseo about the color coded wires😅
I never changed the amp that video was just to show you the wires and what they went to. I had a problem with an older X5 e53 the amp got water on it and stopped working. To change out the amp and put in another OEM amp you have to make sure that everything in the car that you're getting the amp from is the same exact way your vehicle is. If your vehicle has navigation that vehicle has to have navigation if you have DSP that vehicle has to have DSP and so on and so forth. All of the amps have the same part number just keep that in mind
It depends on what you need if you're talking about power I would go straight from the battery. Depending on the gauge wire you need I don't think the power and negative from the OEM is thick enough.
I have same car. And my console keeps restarting again and again. Any idea why? And sometimes miraculously when i open my passenger door first it works.
Did it affect the volume I have a f15 x5 and it’s just missing the pillar speakers would you recommend adding them? I low key want like a surround feeling.
@emer3679 to be honest with you it sounds good. But you can achieve the same sound if you replace the door speakers with an upgraded speaker. Plus I got those speakers for dirt cheap I think I paid $20 for both of them. I don't think it's going to give you the sound that you're looking for
@kingsconsultingcarrepair2884 you will have to tap into the fuse box in the trunk you technically just need to connect to one of the auxiliary fuses or a fuse that just turns on when the vehicle turns on. They have fuses that you can purchase from Amazon that have wires that come off of the fuse.
Hey Jack, quick question: what type of screws did you use for fasten your D-pillar speakers to your E70?
T20 screws
