I'm so glad you rode this bike!!! I was wondering what I would look like on it and if it could handle my weight!!! And here you are looking just like me! 😂😂😂😂
When the "Shit Hits The Fan," or (as we used to say), "When the balloon goes up," an electric vehicle is much better than a gas-powered one. Of course, if you can grow, ferment, & distill enough grain, you can modify carburetor jets to run an I.C. engine on alcohol. But that would be "way down the road" for most of us. But with an easy to set up photovoltaic panel & associated equipment, an EV will run indefinitely. Just be sure to stock up on replacement parts, especially, batteries. 🤗
Have you ever thought about doing a dyno video using different oils compared to amsoil? Or see if there is a difference the different oil does to the engine
They make a 5/8 to 3/4 sleeve adapter...little grinding they work just fine! For those of us on a very tight budget or already have a torque converter laying around.
I won't pay $800 for one of the Coleman bikes, but I might just buy one of these...the gas powered one... I can make my own bags, sissy bar & apes...& I'd immediately do a Predator engine swap...
I want a pair of those ape hangers, sissy bar and saddle bags. That would be an awesome upgrade. The electric bike you should build a trailer to pull behind with a generator inside but it kinda defeats the purpose of electric. Maybe talk to “rather be welding” (Chris) about that electric motor setup he uses. That would make that little bike darn right scary but, fun as heck.
You guys are a hoot and a hawler. It would be so sweet to put a sissy bar and those ape hangers on both bikes. So funny seeing you ripping around the parking lot and jumping the ramp. Thanks for another great video. 👍 😂
U can hack the limiter on the electric one. To make it into the country they have to be limited to here in canada 32km/h and ive had 5 or 6 e bikes and theres always a hack. The last 1000 watt i had took my big 6 foot 5 280lbs ass to 74km/h almost 50 mile an hour. If it doesnt have a screen you would find out which diode to solder on the bms and youll smoke the gas one. For about 20 mins
I have my eye on the Greenworks electric mini bike at Tractor Supply. You can swap out the batteries for fresh ones and it comes with front and rear hydraulic brakes. $1400 of course.
Alright @RedBeardsGarage, I gotta see you put a faster hub on the electric one so maybe it's a bit faster. Make a video on that just in case. I also need to kno if the electric one is waterproof to some extent.
For off-road use, the electric one is definitely better. You want LOTS of low-end torque, but aren't likely to go over 5 or 10 mph (at least **I** would not subject my soft, squooshy body to such abuse!). I have a little 450 W electric scooter, which has a top speed of 15.25 mph. That's plenty fast for getting around town. But I only go that fast on the main street. The side streets are rough, and I usually stay at 10 mph or less. In the 1980s, I had a 1950 Willys CJ-3A Jeep. I would go everywhere people with their huge 4X4 trucks went, and some places they couldn't go, due to their size. They'd race up mountain trails....and I had two friends who totaled their vehicles, doing that. **I** got to the same places, and did it like a MOUNTAIN GOAT!
Just swap those lead acid batteries for 6 R/C Lipos 3S2P and this thing will launch wayyy quicker. You'll get around 650w/h pack and those Lipo can probably ouput 15hp of burst current. Downside is you need to know what you're doing or things can go wrong quickly. Just look at all those Peg Perego swapped with Lipo packs, just a battery swap with the same voltage makes a huge difference.
It doesnt change any voltage. It unleashes it. Ride em all day long the one i have now is 1000 watt 30ah batt and an extra 60mah batt i got with the deal (400$ Canadian pesos a 2020 surface 604) just the big extra batt is i think almost a 1000 bux. Went on the net found the hack in 5 mins and i was blown away. I can go almost 200km and if u are smart u put a inverter on a rack or in a backpack (not recommended) and charge your small batt once u switch out to the beast batt. I couldnt flip this one its to nice and just flies and i rarely pedal.
My problem is. If something was to break internally on the speed controller or something. I can’t fix it. But if I blow my engine, loose spark or clog my carb, I can be back on the trail by the end of the day.
Monster moto shut down a few years back and the same firm that founded them took it to be rebranded as this recently. Coleman acquired the patents to the 212 model and sell it as their own.
The problem when a company like that reaches out to you for an unboxing or review the quality they send you is usually different then the quality they sell to us
My daughter picked the skulls and it looks dope! Ok now for my second thought…. What do you say to ripping that OL’ POS electric motor out and droppin in you some QS120/138???? 😎😎. 2A=➡️2️⃣🐻💪🏻s 🇺🇸🇺🇸
@jackinsombody3451 unless I'm strictly on the street I wouldn't touch an electric vehicle. No way are they easier to work on and reliability off-road would be a joke absent of some foot trails. Lipo batteries will randomly burn your house down I assume cold weathers a problem. It's getting there but it's far from where I need it to be to invest in anything electric. These things break parts period. I can bring more spark plugs and tuning tools even a ratchet and some sockets for moving the axle in something as small as an ammo can on the side of the bike and be able to fix 99% of my problems off-road. And I can't believe parts for gas engines are more expensive than electric.
I wonder if anyone has ever made a hybrid minibike? Hub motor on the front wheel with a standard gas CVT setup out back. You might have to scale the electric down just a tad, maybe a 500 watt hub motor with a small 10 amp lithium battery to save space and weight. If I had the money I would try it.
Yeah bro I just literally just got my 9 year old that bike two days ago. Got myself the Mudstar 200 today and broke the flippin bolt off in the triple tree tryin to torque my handle bar risers bolts down. Last damn thing I had to do aside from rip the motor apart and build it. So now tomorrow I have to drill like mofo and try to get it out
I will easily admit gas is better in every way, but I don’t think the electric and gas min bikes are in the same category, I mean I had a 500w little pocket bike and it’s top speed was only 18mph but I rode it whenever I was bored and it was great. I rode it way more than my gas pitbike at that time even though my pitbike would mop the floor with it the electric still had its place and range of around an hour was good enough for me
That electric frame and fork are clearly larger. After you have either gone with a 48V DC motor and 400Amp controller($350) or a brushless motor with 115V 300Amp controller Li-Ion battery (thousands), you should put a V4 army surplus engine in the electric frame. Wheelies for days! It is somewhat comical that the electric with limited range comes with saddle bags big enough to do a week-long run to Yosemite.
Your link has a 100$ discount added is this legit?not a scam ?why is there multiple sellers for this product?i want one but just confused why yours has a 100$ discount, or so
Yeah, they are awesome. And when going for those numbers, electric is the only way. Alot more reliable and way more power from stand still to top speed...
PLEASE do NOT “keep the battery charged!” The Maximum lifespan of LiPo batteries is generally achieved if one regularly discharges them to about 20%, then recharges to about 80%!

I would 212 swap the electric one I like the frame

I would love to have the frame of the electric one but with the gas engine. Looks like a more comfortable seating position
Looks like same frame different seat tho so looks like you'd just have to swap out the seat kits
There is a gas one that has the seat and back pad
@@ToGrimmToWin just saw that one yesterday! They must have recently added that one
So the electric is slower, heavier, and realistically, you can only ride it for an hour a day. That's pretty lame.
