Gerald, and great education for all that will take the time to watch and learn! Would love to speak to you, but hesitate because I know you are so busy working on some big builds. Much admiration for your skills. I’m a retired pilot, and know the Lord gave me those thoughts from an early age, and grew as a teen at 15 started to fly. I knew through all the years of heavy weather and circumstances that a person faces each day flying, I knew that God was flying the plane, I was only the man manipulating the controls! I know that you my friend, even know we’ve never spoken, his gift was what his plan was for you! Ronnie East, Tennessee
Thank God for guys like you , this engine would have been scrap metal in most places . Thanks for updating the video it shows the tremendous amount of word you did !
Nice! Could you do a Dyno video? I have, and just had a friend call the other night after a Dyno run and say what a waste to time and money. What order and what are some of the simple things to find power. Everyone makes a pull and turns around looks at you and says what do you want to change? Its like you are the dyno operator you tell me! I know what I do, but its always nice to learn what others do, and the order of it. Just a overview if you don't want to give anything hard earned up. Hope this makes sense.
Where did you get your lower spindle indicator holder? Just picked up a Serdi 100 and I need one! Also I love that little reacher arm off the indicator too! I always use a little piece of .070" thick ground steel over the water jacket hole.... I think I will try your way to free up a hand!!
i would have thought that block was junk..excelent repaire..!..i have never seen the wax trick...?..does the wax cool the alumium....or do u use it as a guage as to how hot to get it...?...thank u 4 the video.....always good content...!
What brand is that block and can you tell us non 4 cylinder guys what platform that engine is? Oh I see you said it was a Mitsubishi engine. Wow it still makes me wonder that people still build that combo. Dam guys got harder heads then some lol... You are brave cutting the valve seats before finishing the chamber blending. I would touch a seat with my burr but you are a pro.
There is that knowledge I keep talking about. Pure art work. Thanks Mr Brand
Thanks
You are truly an artist when it comes to machining engines, Mr Brand! Its always educational watching you fix them!
Thanks for taking the time to share your skills. Much appreciated.

@@darringrey4329 Your an IDIOT !
7:28 anyone else see the face screaming while he's torching the plug? Lol love the content! Your shop is so clean, it's like a science lab.
That turn buckle is a really good idea, better than jacks or wedges by a lot.

Wax works as a lube
@@BrandRacingEngines got it....thanks 4 the reply...!
Always been curious on the wax/ torch method. Is it the heat or the wax that works? I always figured it was the heat.
The Wax is a lube for the plug
my 351 cleveland is a 1972, 4 V , open chamber , holley carb. stock eliminator has a .481 lift rule .
Ok I will look in to the cam
great thing about billet blocks, weld her up and send it
O yes it welds good
What does the candle wax do?
It lubes the therads
@@BrandRacingEngines so by heating the bolt when you apply the wax, it draws the wax into the threads?

It's a Bullet Race Engineering block from Australia based on the Mitsubishi 4G63.
@@jamesbryan88 You are right
What was he racing with this engine?
Drag race Or street race 60Lbs of boost
@@BrandRacingEngines oh wow, that is crazy!
