You can order mushroom spores, they're not illegal to posses. There is plenty of information on how to properly grow them. You can do it in your closet with storage containers.
I've been microdosing LSD and been on a couple of MDMA & LSD-journeys, with intentions and reflection + afterwork. It has helped me tremendously with my traumas and ptsd-symptoms. Sometimes I stop, taking in the moment and realizing that I don't feel those threats as bad as before, walking in public or in a stressfull situation. It's really hard to comprehend, that you can rewire you're brain, with dedication, discipline, training, breath work, whatever it may be. And using psychedelics as tools.
It’s not that it’s just a cool moment in your life, during your trip you think this is your new life so it makes it so much more real and profound to the user in ways that people that have never done a psychedelic could never possibly understand. I mean it’s quite literally psychically impossible to understand until you’ve open open those synapses. That’s why psychedelics change people so much you’ve literally unlocked new ways of thinking and understanding things during your trip. People underestimate this and think that the hallucinations are going to be the biggest part of the trip, and while that can be true, most of the time it’s going to be your thoughts that dictate your trip. Don’t underestimate ts
I've never done psychedelics, but I've practiced meditation for years. I can hear someone talk about their experiences with psychedelics and relate, but I don't think the opposite is true. The benefits of regular meditation are more lasting. For one, you don't want to 'trip' every day and it wouldn't be practical, whereas you can meditate every day (if you have the time) with tremendous benefit to your general well-being. With this regular practice, you come to explore deeper realms of consciousness and awareness (accompanied by hallucinatory and altered states), and ultimately samadhi-direct unitive experience with the Whole. Self-realization, or as Ramana Maharshi put it: "There is nothing to realize. There is nothing new to gain… On the other hand a man must lose his ignorance. That is all." Meaning, to know who are are, you must first know what you are not.
There is one huge problem with doing psychedelics with some friends in a peaceful environment and doing them in a lab with probes stuck to your head....they work totally different.
So if consciousness is just a controlled/constrained hallucination, does this mean that a mental illness is a perpetual bad trip? Also, consciousness is a controlled/constrained hallucination within where/what/when exactly? I find this particularly interesting, especially as someone who has some experience in the past with physodelics, with some pivotal insights/epiphanies from this (also some pretty bad times to). Not done this for 19 years though, but now practicing meditation daily and finding it to be very beneficial and also interesting.
I think about this quite often, of someone had been on psychedelics from birth they'd experience the world subjectively differently and so describe different physical laws if they went on the same physics degree

The ongoing WOW is happening, right now! We are all co-authors of this dancing exuberance, where even our inabilities are having a roast. We are the authors of ourselves, co-authoring a gigantic Dostoevsky novel starring clowns! This entire thing we're involved with, called the world, is an opportunity to exhibit how exciting alienation can be.
I have experimented with drugs, including mushrooms and truffles, but I’ve never had this experience or positive side-effect. In fact it’s usually the opposite. I still smoke a bit of weed and I’ve heard lots of people talk about DMT and how I can have positive side-effects but the thing that puts me off is two years ago and I don’t speak about it often, but my cousin did DMT and went into a psychosis. Thinking my aunt was the devil and stabbed her to death. It’s torn my whole family apart. If you don’t believe me I’ll link the new story from London, I obviously don’t speak to my cousin he was originally in a mental hospital, but I believe due to their amount of money we’re able to get a good lawyer and get him off and I’ll never speak to him again and more than likely that side of the family either. It’s just something to consider when taking mind altering drugs.
I've done a ton of research on this topic as it's been something I've actually had struggled with it for a long time. It terrified me, which climaxed in a panic attack over the nature of consciousness. I would describe myself as being pretty logical, I don't really indulge in any esoteric/really religious beliefs and I try to base my views on as many experienced accounts as possible. Almost every single psychedelic user shares the same experience, and at a certain point will agree with what I'm saying about reality. As someone that's experienced what I believe to be 'Ego Death', I am 100% sure that Psychedelics are the way to realize an absolute 'truth'. Everything is interconnected, thus every part of the universe is the same 'entity'. Galaxies, planets, humans and consciousness are only 'parts of the whole'? I can't describe it. This is where many psychedelic users have different opinions. Wether the universe is 'real' or not, wether what you see on psychedelics is just altering your brain in a way that you can 'see' things you couldn't, or if it's all just made up by the 'great consciousness' that is the universe to distract from the endless state of nothing that surrounds it. This is incredibly hard for language to describe, but I hope you get what I mean. In its very nature, language is made to describe abstractions, things we would recognize as 'things'. Thus, something that cannot be described as a thing by the normal mind, like a ""Great consciousness"" is a concept far too outlandish to describe. I hope this clears it up a bit. This topic can be seriously disturbing when you get to a certain point, but also so rewarding. I can only recommend, if you are in a very good state of mind and have a good support system, that everyone try psychedelics at least once. Low doses are absolutely okay, in fact I'd recommend starting at like 30ug LSD. As I said, excellent and informative view that goes into the very interesting possibilities that exist within psychedelics research. Thank you for bringing an unbiased look into this.
I feel the part where you said too much thought can be seriously disturbing. Except the difference is I see this as which religion should I really follow (Islam, Christianity, Judaism). Then the thought of hoping it’s reality instead of dying to experience no afterlife. If I did not believe in a afterlife, I don’t think I would care about life.
The awareness is very impressive when felt and there has never been a time in my life where I've felt such unconditional love and bliss in any moment when my mind was buffed by mushrooms. 100s of thoughts per minute. Having hours worth of thoughts made time feel irrelevant. You can exist for a long time in just a single moment. To really understand this stuff, you have to have experienced it, words do no justice.
Looking for control in your life and creating an ironic situation where you have no understanding where you are isn’t what you want. I believe that you can achieve this deeper understanding of life and gain control by looking for the omens in life and trying to understand the worlds true language, universal love. Just should mention the caveat that once in a while, the "new model" that someone adopts after psychedelics is even more maladaptive than the one they had before.
Not everything is for everybody. I agree but I suspect given their emphasis on quantification there most likely would be more incremental approaches in a safe environment. Hopefully they focus on older "experienced" subjects. The guy who meditated already a lot seemed a good candidate.
@@alkeryn1700 Thanks. Didn't know that. Even though, I think there must be some concern around the idea of actually "being volunteer to take a dose of dug". Don't you think so?
@@kabesa5265 people take drugs everyday (coffee, alcohol, sugar, pain suppressors), and psychedelics aren't just "drugs", no i don't think so cause that can save people's live, they can cure 20 years of depression in a single administration. Also, whatever it was, as long as it was done with informed consent, i don't see an issue, people take psychs outside studies, doing it within one give you the guarantee that you have medical grade purity which is neat. Though if it never looked into them, i couldn't recommend more than to look into them, we are in the middle of a psychedelic renaissance and they could be one of the best things happening to our society.
@@kabesa5265 well it’s still volunteer work. Where do you think they got volunteers for the drugs you take on a day to day basis. People clearly take these drugs recreationally and they are not addictive. It’s very hard to overdose on these drugs and as long as you aren’t prone to schizophrenia or psychosis the long term health effects are generally negligible. It’s a shame they were banned so rapidly everywhere especially when drugs like nicotine and even alcohol are clearly worse for your health.
I can't find a source anywhere for any good psychedelics in my area, I suffer some pretty bad depression and i got a chance to try K and man it was a miracle substance, I felt free, the only high or euphoria was from the relief of my vices being released, that's exactly what it did
The visual content showing so-called psychedelic images is childish, hippie propaganda like, and captures almost nothing of the true visions experience during a psychedelic experience. You do a disservice to the research community, as well as people who are undergoing or are interested in undergoing psychedelic treatments.
"When I hear the word consciousness, I reach for my gun". As a sect of followers of Marvin Minsky we will ask you instead: "Can a biologist fix a radio?". nuff said or more dosage plz///
This is an interesting science research pathway in terms of expanding our knowledge about how the brain works by looking at what it does when it is not working normally. However, as much as the research may be interesting and perhaps fruitful eventually (research doesn't have to be easily explainable as a good idea to sometimes yield good results), I feel like this video did little to add to my understanding in many ways, compared to other videos of the channel. The presentation also left a lot to be desired, and might be misinterpreted by many who see it as a bit of a rosy-glasses view of drug use. I'd just enjoy a bit more science detail and background and a bit less "It's like going into another realm!" - or a shorter vid failing that. People who wish to alter their consciousness, fair enough. I just think there's enough "put it on a pedestal" stuff out there without adding reinforcement from a science channel in this particular way. Just a bad tone choice, almost makes the research seem like a joke.
the issue is that the searcher misinterprets altered states of unconsciousness (our given 'reality' condition) as 'consciousness.' And believes it is in manipulating brain cells we can reach conciousness. Ask any genuinely conscious person they will always say consciousness is not a matter of brain mechanism (even though it consequently will alter how the brain works) but something to grasp beyond the physical condition. Perhaps his way can give tools to psychatry, i dont know, merely as psychoanalysis does, there is no question of consciousness at all in this realm. Just empiric search in a vastl and obscure domain.
DMT isn’t for junkies. It literally gives you an out of body experience, isn’t toxic or addictive and naturally exists in nature and the human body. Learn something new. Or don’t.
I hope one day you are able to look back on this comment, having experienced an ego dissolution occasioned by careful and thoughtful psychedelic use and think 'Did I really write that!?' and be glad you didn't live your entire life in the dark.

I heard about this one guy who stopped wearing shoes after dmt
@@Adamtherealboss i heard about people who believe in a man in the clouds watching them like a pervert
@@Adamtherealboss well that's a good decision, shoes are terrible for health and posture.

Any ethical issues with the administration of drugs? Is addiction a factor studied? Great video 👌
DMT is non addictive, like all major psychedelics.
in fact they are addiction inhibitors, meaning they can stop existing addictions.

Some of the comments here are hilariously idiotic. Timmerman doing great work keep it up.
I can't find a source anywhere for any good psychedelics in my area, I suffer some pretty bad depression and i got a chance to try K and man it was a miracle substance, I felt free, the only high or euphoria was from the relief of my vices being released, that's exactly what it did

Being john malkovich. Mixture of eerie feeling & curiosity. Stunning, for having no idea how to deal with the issue. Great! (or crazy?)

The visual content showing so-called psychedelic images is childish, hippie propaganda like, and captures almost nothing of the true visions experience during a psychedelic experience. You do a disservice to the research community, as well as people who are undergoing or are interested in undergoing psychedelic treatments.
If this is a hallucination, why is it constrained?

Exhibit A that this topic does not need further glorification encouragement - all of the bots commenting on this video XD.

the issue is that the searcher misinterprets altered states of unconsciousness (our given 'reality' condition) as 'consciousness.' And believes it is in manipulating brain cells we can reach conciousness.

No.
I think not that ethical to inject someone that substance but still pretty interesting.
Prohibition is unethical.
