Not the first video. But the one that launched their career. They were 14, 12 and 9 years old. Their parents were dad a civil engineer and mom a dentist. So they were upper middle class and could afford to buy their daughters the equipment needed. Their parents gave up their careers to devote themselves full time to the girls’ careers. Dad had also owned a small recording studio. So he set one up in their basement. The music video of the rearranged version was shot in an abandoned textile mill south of Monterrey, MX.
Actually, Kurt Hammett of Metallica said "the drummer kicks maximum ass" after seeing the first video ! 😁👍(The second video was rewritten, recorded and mixed in 10 days. On the third video, Dany is using the Gibson Explorer that was gifted to her by Lzzy Hale of Halestorm while they toured together last summer for inspiring her)
The Warning are three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico that started making music very young Alejandra (Ale = Aleh, not the beer. Bass, backing vocals and keyboard, the youngest- 18) and Paulina (Pau = Pow. Drums, backing/lead vocals and keyboard, middle sister 21) at 3 and Daniela (Dany = Dany. Guitar, lead vocals and keyboard, the oldest 23) 5, all learning classical piano. They got the video game Rock Band and fell in love with the feeling of performing on other instruments. Their father asked if they wanted to learn another instrument and the girls jumped at the opportunity and gravitated to the instruments they played in Rock Band. They had been uploading their musical journey to TH-cam for their family to see and had wanted to try and play music together as a band around 2012 and started rehearsing for a small performance for their school xmas show. Well They loved the experience so much they began learning and playing cover songs of hard rock and metal bands. One song in particular shot them into the limelight. That song, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica had gone viral (currently over 22 000 000 views) and had gotten the attention of Metallica, Dee Snyder and The Ellen Show! The Warning wrote, composed and recorded an EP called Escape the Mind in 2015 to experience that whole process and to determine what type of music they liked to make... Thankfully they chose Rock/Hard Rock! Ellen Degeneres invited the band to play live on her show, to which they accepted and played "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne, after the performance Ellen and Target awarded the sisters $10,000 each to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston, Ma. USA. They performed a number of small and large shows afterward and began writing and composing new material for their first full length album "XXI Century Blood" in 2017. They supported this album with some very high profile gigs like opening for Def Leppard and separately The Killers for two shows each in Mexico. Also following other large rock bands in a couple music festivals. In 2018 they wrote and recorded "Queen of the Murder Scene" and released it in November of that year and have toured Mexico and South American venues. In June of 2019 they released a single, "Narcisista". A scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the band of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors, because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well this song is in Spanish and it is full of attitude and angst fired toward those critics. This was recorded live in June 2019 at Foro Didi in Monterrey Mx (their hometown) - th-cam.com/video/O7IAEhN4RMM/w-d-xo.html The Warning is totally fan-funded through Patreon, TH-cam and crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter. They have turned down offers from record labels and talent shows like American Idol because they did not want to lose their control of their music, image and wanted to focus on learning. In fact in one interview with a record label they were asked if they would rather play to 12 people or 12000. Paulina piped up and said The Warning would rather play in front of 12 if it meant they would keep their integrity and could play the music they want to play, how they want to play... That is the most Rock n Roll quote ever! So after a very successful Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a North American tour and to record a new album achieving their goal within 24 hours and surpassing that goal by 600%. Unfortunately the Covid-19 Pandemic forced the band to cancel their tour plans and postpone making their album. Their last live show before the global lockdown was March 14 2020 at the Vive Latino 2020 Festival in Mexico City. This did not stop The Warning from performing though, they played a full concert set from their basement studio/rehearsal space for free for their fans on TH-cam and Facebook achieving well over 50,000 simultaneous viewers on March 25, 2020. They have since performed from The Warning Cave a couple more times including for the city of Brownsville, Tx. for the Fourth of July virtual celebration and later in the summer for a charity event with rock legends like Slash and Ringo Star. On August 9th 2020 The Warning announced to their Patreon community that after seven long months of negotiations they had signed a five record deal with Lava Records, a label under the Republic Records and Universal Music family. During the announcement they reiterated their dedication to their own creative integrity and dedicated fans on Patreon and were able to retain both in their record contract with Lava. In Sept of 2020 The Warning traveled to New Jersey, USA to begin rehearsal and eventually recording of their third album. After three months of recording and a month and a half of mastering, mixing and editing the third album was completed at the beginning of February, 2021. All that remains as of 22/02/21 is the album design and artwork and logistics of the release which will hopefully happen by the end of 2021. In March of 2021 The Warning was invited to cover a song from Metallica's eponymous 5th album (The Black Album) with Canadian Grammy and Juno award winning pop star Alessia Cara for Metallica's Blacklist album. A 30th anniversary celebration for the Metallica album. They selected to record Enter Sandman, a fitting song because it was this song that propelled The Warning 7 years previous into stardom. The Warning reimagined the song with Alessia and produced a fresh new feeling that goes above and beyond what others have done with the song... On May 21 2021 they released the single "Choke" to critical acclaim th-cam.com/video/TlOy0XbFVlM/w-d-xo.html . Followed by a new release roughly every month through to Sept. On October 8th, 2021, The Warning released six songs that were recorded for the new album on an EP titled Mayday with the remaining 6 songs to be released at a later date. Starting on the 18th of Feburary 2022 The Warning started out on their previously twice cancelled North American Mayday Tour. Their first show was on Saltillo Mx followed by a short set openning for Mammoth WVH in Las Vegas, NV and another short set opening for Sammy Hagar in Austin Tx at the SXSW Festival. In Mexico City on March 18, The Warning got to open for the Foo Fighters. They toured in the late spring and summer with Halestorm and The Pretty Reckless. In the fall and winter of 22 the toured Canada with Three Days Grace and made a stop in St. Jon's Newfoundland with Stone Temple Pilots. They finished off the year opening for Guns N' Roses in their home town, Monterrey Mx and were expecting to take a long break before touring in the spring of 23 but were asked to join Muse on their tour of Mexico in January. The Warning embarked on their second tour of the US with another up and coming band Plush opening for them through the month of May. Following the US tour The Warning started their "World Tour" Starting off opening for Muse again but this time in the UK with upcoming shows in France. The Warning will also play a couple festivals in Europe such as Download in the UK and the two German rock Festival, Rock AM Ring and Rock IM Ring. They also played a couple more headlining shows in England, Spain and Germany. So now you've been WARNED! I hope you will check out more of their music and see how they have grown. Metallica told the artists who were contributing to the _Blacklist_ album to keep the lyrics but turn the songs upside down and backwards to put their own spin on them. Very few bands had the guts to actually do much different from a straight cover. But not The Warning. These young ladies are fearless. They took the song apart and put it back together, made a metal song into pop and then "rockified it" (to use Paulina's term) for Alessia's part, and then crashed into the original riff at the end.
@@TheAncientMetaler-1963 And they did it ALL in less than a week, Alessia in Canada and The Warning in Mexico.......in the middle of a global pandemic.
So many fun facts to choose from. I'll do one for each vid. First vid -- they weren't trying to become overnight YT sensations. They just uploaded the vid to YT so their grandparents could see them play together. Second vid -- they didn't meet Alessia in person until many months after the song and video were released. Alessia recorded her vocals in Canada and filmed her vids parts in Italy. Third vid -- the Gibson Explorer that Dany is playing was a completely unexpected gift from Lzzy Hale when they were opening for Halestorm last year.
You’ll see many from TWA start their comments with “Fun Fact”. This is homage to a Pau-ism. Often times when the band is doing an interview collectively or Pau is doing a livestream she’ll interject some info by prefacing it with “Fun Fact” and people have picked up on it and ran with it. The sisters have many quirks and sayings that fans emulate. They have such a widespread body of work professionally and personally on various social media platforms that they have really endeared themselves to their fanbase in ways many other bands couldn’t understand.
They have quite a history with this song. Lots of great back stories. When they did the one when they were very young Pau and Ale were mad at Dany because they practiced very hard the 2 days before they shot it and Dany just sat there practicing her angry James Hetfield face. The second video was shot in a burnt out factory near their home. Dany said it was kind a of scary because the place was full of bats, she said it took a couple hours but they all became friends and things went smooth after that.
What they did to re-arrange Enter Sandman was genius, they took a song that I've heard thousands of times and turned it into something new that I could listen to again and again. They did that in a week too. Almost all the tracks on the Blackist Album were pretty much straight covers with a little flair here and there, The Warning were one of the very few to actually follow the instructions of pulling it apart and making something new while keeping the lyrics and the essence of the original. That takes real talent and real guts to re-work such an iconic song and they succeeded beyond all expectations. And then the Live at Teatro was even better again. When they first started doing it live they tried to keep it the same as the music video, but it didn't quite come off as good, but they kept tweaking it until we got what we just saw, which is an outstanding even better than the music video version. I understand why Dany does the prayer instead of Pau live, but I would have liked it if Ale had done it, but Ale doesn't like being in that much of the spotlight so I respect their decision to have Dany do it.
Hey Ancient Metaler! I am also a rocker since birth and an old school Hair Metalhead. I've seen some of the greats like, Metallica, Queensryche, Motley Crue, Whitesnake, Poison, Rush, Aerosmith, GNR, BOC, Def Leppard, etc. I can tell you that nothing prepares you for how good these sister are LIVE! First you see them, and they are tiny, young and sweet. Then they get on stage and proceed to melt your face and tear the roof off! Their songs are so good, so hard rocking, yet hooky and catchy! And they turn the whole show into a party! Not only that, at ages 18, 16 and 13 they released a concept album called Queen of the Murder Scene, that tells a story and plays like a musical graphic novel. Similar to Operation Mindcrime! It is a MASTERPIECE! If you react to it, do it in album order and follow the story! BTW, CDMX = Ciudad de Mexico = Mexico City!
@@TheAncientMetaler-1963 Oh, man! You are in for a treat... an album created by teenagers, showcased only a couple years later, and showing a performance at least "on par" - if not better than - concept albums by bands twice their age. Please give us a week or so warning (no pun intended) before you do it; your comment stream will be well-populated. 😋
Besides all the gear, having a studio at home must have been a big bonus, not only for the musical part but for stage performance practice-the studio has a mirror wall facing them to see how they look while performing. Attention to detail has always been a major factor for this amazing group.
My understanding is that in order to make room for the studio, the three girls had to share a common bedroom. I am not sure if they still do, but just a few years ago they still all slept in one room.
Great reaction!! These sisters are overwhelmingly talented!! The first video was made in 2014 at the time they were 14, 12 and 9. Awesome! The second song was arranged, mixed and mastered in only 10 days! EPIC song ending in a supernova! Their live performances are beyond amazing! Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
First was recorded in 2014 when they were 9, 12, and 14. The New version with Alessia Cara was released in early 2022. She was in Canada, The Warning were in Mexico and they wrote, recorded, and produced that track in 10 days. I have to admit, I am not a Metallica fan, and I was sick of this song, until this version came along. A lullaby where Alessia very sweetly puts you to bed, then Dany rouses the troups, Pau shares a little prayer, and the angel chorus comes to sing you to sleep, then Boom, the hammer drops. I think of this very much as the female version of the tale. So good. Delicate, powerful, soothing, strong, gentle, fierce-all at the same time. I love this one. Thanks for taking the time to do this 3-pack. I think it really illustrates how far these talented young women have come. They are powerful live. Glad you enjoyed it.
Some Tidbits. Ale (bass player) is the youngest. She is also the Tallest now. The bass was bigger then her in the first one. Second one Pau (the Drummer) is scared of any bug. when she did the prayer in the second one , she said there was all kinds of bugs crawling on the walls and grass. Also the last room they played the original Riff in was so hot they could only spend a few mins. in before they had to get out. Third one Dany (the Guitarist) plays the white Gibson given to her in a Live show by LZZY HALE from Halestorm. You have a very deep rabbit hole to go down.
@@TheAncientMetaler-1963They have documented a lot of their history on line, are very approachable, and and of course their music is superb. They attract an intelligent, muscally aware fan base as a result.
@@TheAncientMetaler-1963 One reaction you should do very soon is the TEDX Talks in Reno. They play 3 songs and talk in between songs. Gives you a lot of just how Good these girls are. Tedx is a venue that you have to be invited to. They were invited twice. th-cam.com/video/pj5ue3M-v6o/w-d-xo.html
@@TheAncientMetaler-1963 Also the third song Pau (POW) the drummer sings lead and also breaks a drum stick. Watch how she never losses the beat and changes sticks. Also This was the first time they used "You have been Warned"
The Teatro concert is the peak of experience for The Warning Vids ( so far) brilliantly performed, superbly recorded. Pretty much for most of their songs. Everybody just plain got it very right.
Thank you for continuing to check out The Warning. Love the slightly stunned look that comes over people’s faces when those young girls started to throw down. They were born to be Rock Stars, and I’m lucky enough that it was during my life time.
That 3rd video - that Gibson Explorer Dany's playing - was a gift, live on stage in front of the audience -from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm! Someone had given Lzzy a nice guitar when she was just getting started, telling her to "pay it forward" when Lzzy found a promising upcoming guitarist - well Dany is that upcoming guitarist! Wonderful story! th-cam.com/video/EF4nugoxBXw/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/51dbA0sstSk/w-d-xo.html
The 2014 video was uploaded for their grandparents to see their progress with their second instrument; they all started with the piano. When they were in school the guitarist and the bassist played saxophone but I don't think they have practiced with them. Too busy with the guitar, bass, drums and keys which they do play in some of their sets though not as much keys when they are on tour so much. As others mentioned they were 9, 12 and 14 and left on a cruise with their grandparents not long after uploading the video. The file was too big to easily email it & they didn't know or expect what happened. When they got home their dad's email was blowing up. Alessia Cara is a Canadian pop star that by the numbers was a much bigger name than The Warning. Grammy winner though not someone I ever heard of before collaborating with The Warning.
Keeping in mind the bass player had been playing for two years in the first video and had already been playing in front of people for that long. The young woman you see live is a ten year player and has already played in front of thousands of people many times.

Super reaction Ancient Metaler! Guitarist Daniela was 14, drummer Paulina was 12, and bassist Alejandra was 9 years old when they recorded this. Here is a recent interview where they talk about their rearrangement of Enter Sandman at the 5: 07 mark in this video - th-cam.com/video/wZy1CywqQL0/w-d-xo.html 🤘🤓🍿
Regarding their gear in the first clip - while they've never (to the best of my limited knowledge) gotten into specifics, their parents were both in pretty solidly "upper-middle class" professions. Their father was a sound engineer, and their mother a dentist. Their parents most definitely provided at least their initial financial support, because they believed in promoting their children's dreams and aspirations. So, I suppose you can consider them as having gotten very nice Christmas presents from their folks. 😋
El talento de The Warning se aprecia tanto en sus covers como en sus temas de rock duro ,mas de 40 temas y todos excelentes como este cover original de Enter Sandman ,TW es poder
I prefer The Warning's version of Enter Sandman over anyone else's, including Metallica. Thanks for the triple play. Looking forward to your first reaction to Angelina Jordan.
Both the official music video and the live versions kick butt but the live version is just amazing in my opinion. Subbed and on to your reaction of Disciple. 🤘😎❤️⚠️
Please do a reaction to Evolve and Choke. Two of their more heavy songs. The guitar she is playing was given to her from lzzy Hale when the Warning opened for her band.
I think they recorded the first video in 2013. They were recording covers for their grandparents to watch and because of the size of the files they posted them to TH-cam. Eventually other people started to watch them and about a year later, while the family was on vacation in Spain, the video went viral. By the time they returned home their father's phone lit up with emails and messages, beginning with local media wanting to interview the girls or have them perform. The word reached The Ellen Show and they were asked to fly to LA to appear on the show and perform. Ellen and Target donated $10k to each girl for them to attend a summer session at Berklee College of Music in Boston. The college gave Ale a special waiver because she was too young to attend. The girls studied such things as music theory and composition and met several professional musicians who served as their tutors. Even before they attended Berklee, Ale's bass teacher, Pablo Gonzalez, who is himself an accomplished bassist, had encouraged the three to compose their own music. So their history is a mixture of luck, great timing, and being prepared to take advantage of whatever comes their way. A lot of that came form the support of their parents early on, but they have also built a strong team around them for support that functions as an extended family, even to include their road crew.

Hey, good you did this comparison. I would strongly recommend to do the same with 'Dull Knives': first the "Cave De(tour)" version, then the acoustic version. The first is one of their most energetic & hard rock pieces; in the second you will find one of the most impressive vocal renditions by Dany, with Pau at the piano. Truly mesmerizing.

Also worth looking into: a very different, crunchier, dirtier, less melodic cover of Sandman from a different all-female trio: VoB (not sisters - they met in junior high in rural Indonesia). Not as vocally talented as The Warning, but they're a very tight ensemble, very high energy and they're great with a crowd (and also very young - born in 2000 and 2001). If you search for: voice of baceprot rennes sandman, you should get the official concert video from their channel (3.4M views). Like The Warning, you can find a variety of covers and originals, live and studio recordings. Like The Warning, they come with a fan army. A good original to start with is God Allow Me (Please) to Play Music (4.4M views). They played Wacken last year; they're touring America this year. Obvious influences are SOAD and RATM, but people hear all sorts of things in them, all the way back to Black Sabbath. At the same time, their originals are very original (and different from each other)
@@TheAncientMetaler-1963 What many omit is that since the bassist was 8 years old, they already performed in small coffee's, Many of her instruments have been donations, plus they have all obtained sponsorships since they were little, even before their first EP

Here is a recommended viewing list to see their evolution:

On the live Video the Guitar Dany is playing is a Gibson Explorer that was Gifted to Dany from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm
They sure did!
Nice facts to know.
Always fun to see little Ale towering over her big sisters.
Nice reaction.
DPA rock....
Definitely gave it a new life.
I'm planning a live stream to react to the Queen of the Murder Scene start-to-finish.
Referring to the Metropolitan theatre performance , simply the best cover of this song played by a trio to date , for me !
Besides all the gear, having a studio at home must have been a big bonus, not only for the musical part but for stage performance practice-the studio has a mirror wall facing them to see how they look while performing. Attention to detail has always been a major factor for this amazing group.
That's a big bonus, indeed.
Too cool.
Thanks for the info.
Interesting. It is surprising to me how so many of you all know so much about them.
First video 14 12 9 and yet they all play classical piano
The Teatro concert is the peak of experience for The Warning Vids ( so far) brilliantly performed, superbly recorded. Pretty much for most of their songs. Everybody just plain got it very right.
Thank you for continuing to check out The Warning. Love the slightly stunned look that comes over people’s faces when those young girls started to throw down. They were born to be Rock Stars, and I’m lucky enough that it was during my life time.
I rarely just agree with a comment, but here we are.

Thanks for the triple header! 👍😎
You bet!
Oh that's cool. Amazing how things work out.
Always fun to watch new folks getting drawn into the trap... er... "rabbit hole". 🙂 Cool video!
I've been warned.
The bass tone is crazy and Dany does some tricky switches between picking and finger style so smoothly you don’t see it unless you already know.
Keeping in mind the bass player had been playing for two years in the first video and had already been playing in front of people for that long. The young woman you see live is a ten year player and has already played in front of thousands of people many times.

Not the first video they ever posted, by far! Ask me about that, because twice my comments were BLOCKED.
Not blocked by me? I've not blocked any comments. And thanks for correcting me.
@@TheAncientMetaler-1963 I replied to this once and it also got blocked.
That is great that they were so fortunate.
El talento de The Warning se aprecia tanto en sus covers como en sus temas de rock duro ,mas de 40 temas y todos excelentes como este cover original de Enter Sandman ,TW es poder
Excelente. No puedo esperar a escuchar más de su colección de canciones.
I prefer The Warning's version of Enter Sandman over anyone else's, including Metallica. Thanks for the triple play.
Looking forward to your first reaction to Angelina Jordan.
Thanks for watching!
Both the official music video and the live versions kick butt but the live version is just amazing in my opinion. Subbed and on to your reaction of Disciple. 🤘😎❤️⚠️
Thanks!
Please do a reaction to Evolve and Choke. Two of their more heavy songs. The guitar she is playing was given to her from lzzy Hale when the Warning opened for her band.
Evolve is coming up next on my list of songs to do from The Warning.
@@TheAncientMetaler-1963 Evolve is a good choice 👍, Gilles from France, a hudge fan of The Warning 🤟⚡🤟

Great reaction! Me encantó! Thank you
For more great The Warning songs try Choke, Animosity, Evolve, Z, Dust to Dust, Nasicita, PHYCHOTIC, and others.
If you want another great hard rock all female band that is awesome with many great songs then try Band-Maid from Tokyo, Japan. Try their songs Dice, Warning, Domination, Blooming, Unleash, Puzzle, Sense, No God, Play, and many more.
Band-Maid and The Warning met each other at Aftershock music festival in Sacramento, CA. and shared their admiration for each other’s band, a cool meeting by these ladies and there are videos on TH-cam that show their excitement. My two favorite bands currently!!!
The list keeps growing :)
Sounds good. I'll see what I can do.
Its amazing that 95 bands have covered the song Enter Sandman.
the remix was done in 2022 with Alyssa carra from canada, danny (daniela) was 22, pou ( paulina) 20, ali ( Alejandra).17.. it was requested by metalica for their black list alnum..
