So I own a 2016 Santa Fe with 80K mi. so far I brag about this vehicle all the time. 290 hp V-6 engine is a good one with conservative driving make 21 mpg in town and 26 on the road. keep speed at 70 and you can make 28-29 highway mpg. So far I've replaced the brake pads at 78K they still had 30% wear left and i've changed the transmission fluid at 50K. Otherwise I love my Hyundai, key is do regular maintenance, keep oil changed with synthetic every 5K. Great vehicle for the price!!

Bought a 2019 F150 that was like new and a 2016 Sante Fe.
The F150 has been in on warranty claims steady and it has 30,000 kms.
    Mint condition.
Sante Fe nothing has gone wrong amd it has over 200,000 kms now.

That 2.4 engine is trash and so is Hyundai! Not dependable at all. We are SOL with ours. Hyundai did absolutely nothing about it.

My 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe has the problem of jerking when it gets to 9 miles an hour every once in awhile. I've lived with it, been in the shop three times, they say there's nothing wrong with transmission. No codes come up. Now November 22 I'm driving along at 40 miles an hour and all of a sudden the car decides it doesn't want to go and it just basically almost stops in the road, engine still running. I go a few seconds further it's okay, then it does it again. I've heard of some Santa Fe owners who have their car do that in the middle of a highway where they almost get run over. Anybody know what the problem is

You are lucky my friend. The same exact thing happened. We didn’t get ours replaced though. We kept up with the maintenance too.
