This brought back a lot of memories of when I was a teenager and going to the mall was the place to go. You can get like $20 from your parents and get stuff with it and spend all day with your friends. The good ol days of being a kid 🥰😊

The roses, and Buddy with a mouth filled with gum was so cute. Nashville has a few malls, but it's not as big of a thing here as it was in the past. We have a bunch of unique little mom and pop stores with items that you can not find anywhere else, they get alot of business here.

When your beautiful kids handed folks a rose, the expression on their faces was priceless. You never know what kinda turmoil someone may going through and in doing that may have really brightened their whole day. In these times we find ourselves in, we could all give a little more compassion and kindness.

I totally loved that moment when Audrey was getting purposed to lol...her face said it all. It's ok daddy it won't happen for a while! But eventually! My daughter got her ears pierced when she was 5, she enjoys wearing them and now she's 12 and a half.
Rose's are beautiful flowers and that's wonderful that your family did that, it's so awesome that you love blessing other's and teaching that to children. They will definitely remember all the wonderful things you taught them through out the years.

Growing up in Duluth, MN across the bridge in Superior, WI there was the Mariner Mall. As I got older times changed and stores started closing so it earned the affectionate nickname of Mariner Morgue. 🤷🏼‍♀️ but even the mall on the duluth side has changed a bit since I left home.

Love the footage of handing out the roses. The kids were so cute in their little outfits. Bentley Hall definitely counts as a mall, just on a smaller scale. I am in San Jose,CA ( part of the Bay Area in Northern California , also known as Silicon Valley). We have 4 malls in our city alone. I personally am not a fan of malls, nor are my teenage sons. We mainly go for the movie theatre or the restaurants.😬

Oh I love the flashback of the kids handing out roses! Thanks for sharing your mall (I’d say it could be considered one!)-love that the larger stores are connected-probably very convenient in your cold weather. Our Northgate mall here in Seattle just added a community iceplex (where the Kraken NHL team practice, among other things). Very exciting for our area! It’s also considered one of the first malls in the US.

Miss the Mall Rat days....black and white photo booth pics, curly fries, Orange Julius, Hallmark stickers, perfume samples and trolling for cute boys! Our mall is nearly vacant now. Stores keep their own hours, if any at all, which is confusing. Many of the store fronts are now used for military recruitment, animal foster care, 5 zillion nail salons, and even a church. Every now and again, I power walk there in the mornings to stay out of the weather and think about yester year :) And, your Valentine kiddos were beyond adorable--loved the girls' frilly coats!

The malls here in WI are getting smaller all the time. We lost all our big stores and the smaller ones are going out of business. Old Navy and Bath & Body seem to do the best in our malls. People can afford them more than the pricey stuff. I wouldn't pay over $20 for a hoodie or jeans. Top price for shoes $50. Your prices in that mall were over the top. Loved the sweet roses you gave out. Brought so many smiles to ladies.

When my husband and I were in Toronto for a school for his work, they had many malls. Seemed like one on every corner. Multilevel. The interesting things was that on one of the floors they would have a grocery store. You could shop and get groceries all in one place. Thanks for taking us to Bentley Hall. 🙂🙂

The mall by me was huge with about a hundred stores in it and it closed down store by store until the entire mall eventually closed. Now it sits vacant. So much can be done with that space and it just sits there.

Going back to Anchorage for the first time in 4 years for Christmas and I really want to see how much has changed. I used to love the fifth ave mall and diamond center. Here we have Gurnee mills mall about 30 minutes away. Which is pretty decent sized. It has a Rainforest Cafe, with rainstorms and animatronic animals. So cool.

WHen I was a teen, the mall was THE place to go to meet all of your friends, walk the mall, shop. The holidays were especially awesome. We would be there for hours. Online shopping has kind of killed that even before all things COVID. I think there are also areas that, in my hometown just outside Pittsburgh, the malls also became a place of violence, muggings, and car thefts -I think that being the nail in the coffin. Its a shame because I love the mall and even though Ive moved from Pittsburgh long ago, even our mall here is not a place I feel safe walking to and from my car from the mall especially after dark.

The Bentley Mall was like Disneyland when I was a kid in the early 80’s. It was the place to be.
    Thanks for the video!

I live in Los angels, more specifically the San Fernando valley and we have 3 malls in this area and and a few more around us! Some are bigger and more luxurious w more expensive stores, the grove is a popular one if you’re visiting LA, so is century city.

I live in las vegas and we have all sorted of shopping areas. We have malls, downtown areas that are just several blocks of stores outside, shopping in casinos..everything! I loved here from a small town where the mall went out of business and was being torn down because they couldn't afford to bring it back. Definitely was a change of scenery!

I lived in North Pole in the early 90's while stationed at Eielson...I remember the Bentley Mall in Fairbanks. I cannot believe its still open. lol My favorite watering hole in North Pole back at that time was the Refinery Lounge...BIG Jim was the owner and it was the happening place to be 30 years ago.
