Praying for everyone in this storm. When Bert said he had never seen a storm like this it made me think about how really bad it is. Praying the people stay warm and safe and are able to get the things they need. 🙏❤️🙏
Don't forget the linemen and plow drivers and other essential workers who make snow storms better. They work hard and showing you appreciate them makes their jobs easier.
Bert did good at the grocery store. He got quite a bit for what they had. Luckily the store was even open. It's a blessing that y'all have a generator. As well as Bert's family has power. All that snow is crazy! This is why I live in Florida! No snow! But we have hurricanes. So all parts of the country has their vices! Stay safe y'all!
I'm in NH, and when we have these huge storms that take down lots of lines, we have crews that come in from other states. I've seen them from as far as the Carolinas. And on the same note, our utilities have sent crews to other states when disasters have struck there. Linemen are truly a special breed of people! I remember a few years ago, when several line crews pulled down a road where nearly every wire was down, and poles needed to be replaces, several home owners went out, fired up their grills and started feeding the crews.
Same for us in NY. I’m on Long Island and power crews setup a lot at local big parks days before(if there’s a decent warning) big storms come. We must have contracts with other states because we have crews from all over come too. It was not always like this but I would say in the last 10 years, it’s very common.
Some people don't have the money to be prepared! it takes money to have backup you can't do anything without money. I used to think that way people should just be prepared but I learned through personal experiences that hard times hit and you don't have that money to have extra anyting🥰
Alaskans and everyone having storms have been on my mind and heart for a few days! Praying for everyone! Especially our city electrician workers, plow truckers and any of those workers who work so hard for us under crazy conditions! Thank you Bert for once again stepping up to help where you can! Stay safe ❣️
I've been praying for you and everyone in the Fairbanks area this week. In a previous video, you mentioned that those of us along the coast must be laughing at you for how you were dealing with the snow & rain. I can't speak for anyone else but I wasn't laughing. Getting 20" of snow in 24 hours is no laughing matter no matter where you live. And to then have rain on top of that!! Down here in South Central, mainly the Mat-Su/Anchorage area, we also had a bunch of snow but only a few inches and then the rain. Things were still hazardous but not to the same point as what's been going on with all of you. I know that they closed the Parks Hwy for a time somewhere around Healy so that would have impeded your stores from being able to restock the shelves. Our stores were impacted a bit as well as the Glenn Hwy from Anchorage, while not closed, was very slick. Quite a few people decided to take personal days or even vacation days so as to not be driving. I'm so glad that my pastor has me close the church office and that my husband came home from the slope on Christmas Eve. The Lord has truly kept us all safe. this has been the craziest winter I've experienced in almost 49 years in Alaska. And the crazy weather seems to be from coast to coast. Blessings to you all and thanks for keeping us all updated as to how you're doing as I know that you usually take this time after VLOGMAS to rest and regroup.
Good timing there Bert-- glad you saved your friend's pipes!!! I bought both my daughters (and their families) tri-fuel generators for Christmas. They also, though, weren't quite ready when they lost power in Wasilla (12,000 were powerless there). The Lord helps to stretch us with each challenge. We have to make our lists of lessons learned and keep adapting. We might be pros by 2023!!!
What we went through here in Texas back in February was really bad for us. I can hear the concern in your voices and I'd consider you guys pros! LOL Hang in there!
I know I was about to comment it. Tbh I would love for them to make a video on how to survive that type of weather for Texas people. It could save so many lives
At least we have memories here in Ohio of all the drifts that were ours back in the mid 50's, And I remember running out of oil for the furnace when we moved to a home with an oil furnace and a well with a sketchy well! No bath for five of us - but we had two fireplaces (no wood!) Smile guys we love you! God bless.
Down in Seattle we’ve got about 10 total inches of snow over the week, about 7 inches in the first dump. This is especially unusual for this time of year. Our roads are a thick slab of ice too. Luckily we haven’t lost power but it’s been extremely cold for this area. Stay safe and warm!
Something about washing the pillows to get the smoke smell out and drying them by the wood fire cracks me up! I know it’s not the same thing. But still gives me a chuckle. Getting snowed under here in Kansas. We have some empty shelves but nothing like that. And we have power. Blessings on this day!
Thats the way it looks here in Georgia when we get one inch of snow. All the shelves are empty and for some reason bread and milk go first. I cant believe Bert you drive in that. It scares me just watching you. I love watching y’all happy new year 🎊🎈🎆
We are in East Texas, and we survived the ice and snow storm last year. We use a gas generator and have gas logs. We try to keep powdered milk and a well stocked pantry. We do have that electric tankless water system. So that is a problem. We have a propane stove and sterno gadgets for cooking. We have lanterns and flashlights. And we just bought a big kerosene heater as back up. We are not exactly living in Alaska, but Texas gets snowed in sometimes too! God bless you all. We really enjoy your videos!
Did you know that milk freezes and thaws out perfectly well. It's always good to have some on hand in crazy situations. What a crazy storm you had, I hope it melts down quickly for you all. Happy New Year.
I always keep a loaf of bread in the freezer too! We just got our house setup with a generator this past summer. Already had to use it. Best thing we did!! Ran everything. Anyway Happy New Year everyone. Be safe!!
Audrey, you are an amazing, caring young woman! Who has some many adventures ahead of you! I'm so happy you had an incredible birthday! Give your mom and dad a big hug because it's there birthday too! I can see why they're so proud of you!
Prayers for everyone in Alaska. May want to stock up on some powdered milk doesn't taste the best but in an emergency it will do. Burt got the essential's ice cream, cookies and pizza 🙂 Keep warm guys. We are to get a big snow storm this weekend. I'm ready for spring.
I live in a somewhat rural area of central Kentucky, and my neighbors tend to stick to ourselves, but when trouble hits, everyone pitches in to help everyone else out. Like in the past couple of weeks, we’ve been hit with several tornadoes, affecting some severely, and people from surrounding areas swarmed in to provide help.
A Coleman double propane stove comes in real handy in a power outage. You can cook and heat some water. I am in upstate New York and we get bad storms and loose power. Much love to you guys! You are in my prayers! Pamela
Prayers for y’all and all affected by these storms. Sadly the empty shelves are not just due to a storm I am sure, I have been noticing over the past several months and especially most recently that the stores are more and more empty on the shelves. I notice that they are even trying to hide the fact that there is little product on the shelves, by the way the are stocking the items to hide it. It really is a very scary time in the world and this is definitely a lesson to most about being somewhat prepared for any emergency that may come about. Y’all continue to be safe! Happy New Year!
Y’all are amazing!!!!!! So incredibly inspirational! If only you could bottle your joy and enthusiasm and market it.. your channel keeps us all going and we look forward to you daily posts! Please keep them coming! May God keep you safe and continue to bless you & your family
Another small mercy to be thankful for Bert - you can buy cold and frozen goods in a power outtage because you have snow and ice to keep things cold! We've just come out of a longish power outtage in Australia but no point buying those goods cos it's stinking hot outside lol :)
Badger gas for the win!! Badger male will stay around and protect and play with their pup's, one of the few animals that the male sticks around and helps to take care of the young. I hope you all and your family, friends have a happy, safe and healthy New Year.
Thanks for sharing your situation. It’s crazy, you guys have unheard of snow and ice, and then to hear of the wild fires in Colorado in December, it’s crazy. Also the tornadoes in Kentucky. I really feel for everyone that is undergoing these events. Hope everyone can stay safe.
The best thing I heard during Christmas is the new normal is God. Glad you have that in abundance and that you were supplied with enouh to get through this storm and assist others. Many blessings.
Praying everyone effected by the storm is doing well. Here in Colorado part outside of Denver had power go down in wind storm and caused a fire. So over 500 buildings gone and people without electricity.
I live where hurricanes happen and you mentioning the power people coming down and i think you said it wasnt your power company. I got teary eyed because while hurricanes are terrible and lives and property are lost that sometimes cant be rebuilt and regained but the thing that touches my heart every time is seeing the linemen from all over the country lined up before the storm to rush on down and get everything going again. People away from their loved ones in bad conditions all ready and waiting to help everyone out just gets me every time
Thank you Lord for keeping the Somers safe and warm and helped through the storm ! Stay strong . You are covered in prayer from a good good Father!🙏♥️😊
We're blessed to be a pocket where we rarely lose power and in the infrequent event we do, it isn't off very long. We're also blessed to get severe weather warnings ahead of time and our experience of living around the world in a variety of conditions - tsunami, hurricanes, snow, ice, etc. have taught us to try our best to stay prepared for just about anything, especially the unthinkable, to happen. Prayers for you and the folk affected by this storm.
What a mess!! I'm on the East coast of Canada and I've experienced oodles of winter storms but yours is the worst kind bar none. Snow can be dealt with but add freezing rain, then rain and a hard freeze plus extended power failures that are sure to follow and that's an absolute nightmare. Being resourceful and creative is a must and you guys have that down to an art form!
I know what you are going through, last February we had a ice and snow storm we lost power for 6 days we stay in a hotel the whole time. God bless you and your family.
We are suppose to have a storm here in Eastern Tennessee of 2-5 inches. Hubby just went to Lowes for a part for our sub pump. He asked if we needed anything and I said “no” we are always prepared for whatever happens. Tennessee doesn’t plow the back roads I guess, first winter living here. So glad you are good and able to help others 🤗! Oh yesterday it was 77 degrees here!
Wow that reminds me so much of when we got hit by Hurricane Ida in August. All the shelves were empty, couldn’t find gas. We were some of the lucky ones that were only out of electricity for two weeks. Stay blessed and stay safe!❤️
In South Africa we have “load shedding” which means that power is off 4 hours once or twice a day. During the periods where there’s no load shedding, there are often power outages due to cable theft. We don’t have snow but I can empathise about having no power. So glad you guys are all okay and have a wonderful community. Life is tough but by the grace of our good Lord we get through it 🙏🏻😁 stay blessed
I grew up in Nashville, Tn & we had a historical ice storm in February 1994. Temperature dropped 40 plus degrees in a matter of hours, there were over 100,000 residents without power. It took the Linemen 2 weeks working 7 days a week and 16 hours a day to get everybody back on. My cousin & I were at the grocery store literally right across the street from my house and it took 30 minutes to get home. It was horrific and sad. When the roads were clear & safe to drive(still with caution) I had went to my Grandmas to do some stuff for them and as I headed home on the interstate I hit a small patch of black ice and the rear end of my car hit the guardrail causing my automatic shutoff to my gas tank to turn on. I was on the shoulder out of the way and hundreds of cars, trucks & 18 wheelers went past me and out of nowhere a car came flying from the on-ramp and hit me! She was going 65 miles per hour as I sat still. She was going 25 mph over the speed limit! The impact was so hard it push my motor over, broke the axle off & of course totaled my car. She was sited for wreck less driving and other things & she was literally shocked that it was her fault! I’m blessed to be here.. I had small injuries and was extremely lucky because I had broken my back 2 years before and even then I wasn’t 100%. I definitely had a guardian angel that day! Sorry to ramble on .. lol In my lifetime I’ve lived through that ice storm, The flood of 2010, and then I moved to Kentucky in 2019 . In 2020 my family lived through the most devastating tornado in Nashville’s history and then Dec 2021 I was 8 miles north of the historical tornado in Kentucky’s history. I’ve seen a lot & am truly blessed. My prayers go out to all of those affected by the Winter storm there in Alaska.
I live in North Mississippi. I remember the ice storm of '94. I was 13 years old and was out of school for 2 weeks because of no power. I lived in rural Mississippi. People still talk about it.
Stephanie, it’s not rambling… that’s an incredible example of Gods love & protection. I used to have to diagram accidents in my previous profession & you are absolutely correct- you should NOT be here…but God had other plans. Don’t know if anyone ever explained accidents to you but there are many traumas from 1 event.. the cars impacting, your body impacts on what is in front of you & your internal organs and brain impacting your skull & bones. For you to have already been dealing with a back injury, I am so thankful that it did not cause paralysis or death. God Bless You & may you be encouraged today. 🥰💕
When we had our ice storm, people were literally ice skating on the roads! One thing I remember...when the thaw started we had "ice quakes" The ground was frozen so deep, that it sounded like an earthquake when it started warming up!
You need to seriously consider a house generator!! They are expensive but absolutely worth the money!! We live in SC and we have one. We don't have to hook up a generator or make sure we have gas for it. Power goes out-it automatically comes on and it runs our entire house!! It's the BEST money we ever spent on our house!!!! We have a Generac from Lowe's.
Sorry y'all are having to go thru this! Last February here in Oregon we had an ice storm (pretty unusual for our area) and were without power at my house for almost two weeks! Most weren't without it for that long, but we live in the boonies on a dead end road, so..🙃 Thankfully we have generators, but it was rough for a while! Stay safe and warm! Happy New Year!
My suggestion is to purchase a single burner induction hot plate. Maybe a hand pump on your well and start preparing emergency survival kit. Stay safe and warm. Have a happy new year.
I live in the Pennsylvania mountains and our snow storm's are usually like the one you are having... I am glad all is well.. Stay safe and Happy New Year!
I can't help admiring your positivity, your resilience, unity and harmony no matter the challenges you face with. Living in Alaska is not for sissies yet you make it look like it is enjoyable. I am sure you two, as such a great team, together with your sweet, well behaved and smart kids, can overcome any difficulty in life- because you are unstoppable. You are inspiration to many of us who are faint hearted. I am scared of mild winter and petrified when temperature is just below 0°C.😘
Happy NewYear 2022 We wish you a very happy New Year! We know that this past year has been full of challenges, and we pray that the coming year brings more certain times for your family. Sending all our love and good wishes for better days ahead.
Well some areas of TX had no power for well over a week even some of our town peeps had no water for 2 weeks. Glad y’all got most prepared and can help your neighbors and family.
Careful on that bumpy ice. It can become very sharp-edged and rip up tires. And a good old Coleman stove with some 1# bottles of propane is a great thing to have. Rarely lose power, all utilities are underground so it would take something major. Gas stove and fireplace. It's amazing how reliant we've become on electricity.
Happy New Years to the Somers Family from Sis' Maria in NC. Praying for you all during this challenging winter season. God will take care of you without a doubt. So glad you got gas, groceries, and generator. Many thanks for the Christmas card! Countdown to DISNEYWORLD!!!!!
We go to Fairbanks quite often. Preferably in the winter because I hate the Alaskan state bird (mosquito). When we go in February the whole area turns into an ice cube. It was so bad one year that I slipped and got a concussion on a street called “At Your Own Risk”, go figure. That still doesn’t keep me from going up to Alaska in the winter. Much respect for those who live up there. As one resident told me; “For every reason we think of moving to the lower 48’s, there’s a thousand reasons to stay”. Stay strong and stay warm Alaska.
We went 11 days without power a years ago during a big storm in PA. We don't have a generator. We did use our gas stove top to cook and warm water up. We also had our grill and camp stove for outside use. We try eat everything in our fridge and freezer plus used containers filled with snow to store cold items in the snow banks once the fridge and freezer were no longer staying cold. Since that I've learned to can and preserve a lot of our fruits and vegetables and stocked up on other cans items as well as dry pantry items. I make oat milk as well and my own veggie stock.
Glad you are all OK and praying the rest of the storm doesn't have a huge effect on you. Thank you for sharing all this and showing us what you are going through and the extreme weather in Alaska. It's so good to know you are not only surviving, but as a community, thriving, as you all pull together to help one another. Stay safe ☃️
Happy new year!!! The situation you guys are in reminds me of the ice storm we had in 09 in owensboro ky. It was pretty bad. People were out of power for a week or so. Hope everything gets better soon. Prayers
Am so sorry for every one who going through this power outage, my advice to you is to get a small stove that use propane gas keep it in your garage for emergency. Good luck to you all stay warm.
We have a standby generac with 2 propane tanks and we are in New Hampshire . They are super expensive , but the investment gave us such piece of mind! I hope you all get your power back soon❤️Happy New Year!!
I used to live in Michigan and learned to have powdered milk in the pantry for a snow emergency. Does it taste great? Ehhh...but you can eat cereal and cook with it. Hang in there. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year 2022! God bless and please stay safe. You are doing just great. Hopefully power comes back on soon. Take care ❤️. Love from the island of Guam 🌴💗🎄🌴
I know people have asked before why you don't have a whole house generator. I know that they are somewhat expensive, but wow are they worth spending the money on even if your power goes out only once a year. My folks had a large vacation home in rural northern Michigan and it didn't even have to be storming for the power to be out due to the power lines and the tree canopy would bring the power down. For many years we drew water from the lake to flush toilet and we boiled water to drink. When Dad retired my folks moved to the vacation home to settle and the first thing that happened was installing a whole house generator. Now, if power goes, within 15 seconds you never thought there was an outage. Generators are available that run on fuel oil same as your furnace. With Bert's electrical knowledge he could install the necessary house wiring and transfer switch (providing local ordinances allow) which would save lots on install. Stay warm and safe. Hope the sun warms things up a little. Here in Michigan we can relate to heavy snow as well -- good thing it melts!
when we live din Missouri we had 8 years of ice storms lost heat, power, we had one propane heater that I would use a grating to warm coffee, no showers pipes frozen I live in the southwest now, and covid and Missouri taught me to always be prepared and never take anything for granted. We are having 50 mile hour winds and 21 degrees, I have plenty of everything and we have a propane heater and range
Prayers for everyone. Being in the lower 48 I’m feeling bad about this. When a huge storm takes out large sections of our electrical grid I always feel relief when the linemen from other states are being spotted around town. You guys are so far away I don’t think you get help from other states. I’m glad you guys were back up and running soon. Hopefully it won’t be long for everyone to be back up
People were panic buying. This happens all the time where I’m from which is Long Island, NY. I usually check the weather multiple times a day especially during the winter. I try and stay ahead when I hear there might be snow or maybe a hurricane. Stay safe!
Praying for you always. Where I live we don't get a lot of outages, but if it goes out for a bit we have a generator that runs freezers and essential items. We have propane gas stove, so cooking not a problem. Today it was 35C at 9am, went to 48C on our verandah at 3pm. I find it amazing that while we roast, you freeze, but I wouldn't change where I live in outback Australia. Be blessed sweet family.
I love all the positivity, but I love these tough moments even more. It shows how well you guys deal with hard things and how amazingly willing you are to be the hands and feet of Jesus and help in any you can!
I live in the Okanagan in British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦 and for the last week we have had super cold weather a lot of snow and ice like crazy, the city has not come out to plow roads or sand roads so we can put on ice skates and skate around our little town.. prayers for u all love ur vlogs and family
Praying for everyone. BC just had the floods that washed out all the roads and rail lines.... the stores were cleaned out and it was shocking to see and realize it really happened. Shows you sure need to be prepared for anything. So many people lots everything. Will be displaced for months or a couple yrs at least. Hope everyone are watching out for eachother.
People got soft and spoiled having mild winters. My last child was born Jan 26 we lived out past Fox off grid back then it was -68 below when she was born. We never had snow just sever cold. Now you get tons of snow. One thing I learned living in the interior is to always be prepared and not just for a week at a time. Maybe the people will wake up out of their slumber now that they had a good dump and get prepared. Weather is unforgiving. Good luck and Happy New Year
Hang in there guys. May the New year bring you all nothing but health and happiness. Your storm is reminiscent of Hurricane Gloria in the 80's and hurricane sandy a few years ago. Both interfered with electric and floods for weeks. We were lucky enough that we were safe but other people did not fair so well. Its then you see the love of your community come out. Stay safe...vickie
We use a propane camping stove for cooking. We just sit it on the counter and use it to cook on, so the stove doesn't have to be hooked to the generator.
I live in the deep south of the US. We had major thunderstorms come yesterday and the night before and it kocked out the power for a day and I thought I was going to go crazy without power. The house is just too quiet and I cannot sleep without the sound of a fan going and the TV on. So I can understand how you feel when living without power. I was thinking of the people who lived when there was no power and what they did.
Praying for everyone in this storm. When Bert said he had never seen a storm like this it made me think about how really bad it is. Praying the people stay warm and safe and are able to get the things they need. 🙏❤️🙏
I pray they get the power going for you guys and the shelves restocked
Praying for the somersault family
Oh
Prayers for everyone affected by this winter storm.
Your husband is God sent.
He always takes care of his family.
He always thinks of others.

I miss new Hampshire. Left there 4 years ago from the concord area. In virgina now. Its a huge difference
In NH also. Quebec crews are frequent 'guests'. When you see these out-of-area folks on the highway, we all beep & wave.
@@suemurphy1730 agreed!

Hello Julz how are you doing today?
you are so right. we are always 'chasing normal' when normal is right under our noses --- it's what's happening every day.
I've been praying for you and everyone in the Fairbanks area this week. Hello Elaine how are you doing today?
This is one of your best videos......shows what people do when they have a bad snowstorm.....very cozy.
Hello Julia how are you doing. Happy new year 🎆🎊
I love my generac whole home generator. Also live near the substation so I rarely lose power anyway

It does, I have 4 jugs in my freezer, I don't drink it but my child does.
I've froze milk in 2020 covid. Just give it a good shake to mix it up again.
good ideas, ladies, freezing milk. I think we'll get a few quarts just for that. Thanks!
Freezing rain ,ice storms are the worst
Praying everyone is safe and gets their power back.
Milk cow and chickens are handy also :)
They have powdered milk in storage in their crawlspace.
Dry milk needs to have sugar added to taste normal fresh milk.
It's removed when they Dry it.
Couple tablespoons per quart should do it.

Like in the past couple of weeks, we’ve been hit with several tornadoes, affecting some severely, and people from surrounding areas swarmed in to provide help.
I was shocked to see people in Safeway wo jackets.
I loved how you all help each other , like plowing clear the driveways.
Happy New Year!
awe bless that cashier! he was probably having such a stressful night and still managed to be cheery.
Y’all are amazing!!!!!! So incredibly inspirational! If only you could bottle your joy and enthusiasm and market it.. your channel keeps us all going and we look forward to you daily posts! Please keep them coming! May God keep you safe and continue to bless you & your family
Linemen from different companies work together which is awesome. Keep them in your prayers also.
Hello my friend. Happy new year
Another small mercy to be thankful for Bert - you can buy cold and frozen goods in a power outtage because you have snow and ice to keep things cold! We've just come out of a longish power outtage in Australia but no point buying those goods cos it's stinking hot outside lol :)
We live in the midwest and have a whole house automatic standby generator hooked directly into our natural gas. We are blessed.
Sending prayers to you and everyone, who is in the path of this storm. Please be safe everyone and Happy New Year to you all!
Unfortunately 1000 houses burned down too no lives lost prayers for those who lost their homes.
One of the greatest things about you guys is your positive, help the others attitudes. Nothing seems unconquerable for you.
Happy New Year's Eve Somers Family!
May this year bring us all Joy, Peace, and Happiness!
You guys are so adaptive. Love how you still manage to VLOG during all of this. Praying 🙏 this is over quick.
Hello Jericho1961 how are you doing. Happy new year
I know what you are going through, last February we had a ice and snow storm we lost power for 6 days we stay in a hotel the whole time.
Stay safe and warm.
When we had our ice storm, people were literally ice skating on the roads!
One thing I remember...when the thaw started we had "ice quakes"
The ground was frozen so deep, that it sounded like an earthquake when it started warming up!
Hello Susie how are you doing today?
Prayers for all during this storm. 🙏🙏❤❤
Wow we had rain in Los Angeles for a week and we went crazy so we definitely can’t complain after seeing that snowstorm. Stay safe everyone.
Haha oh man was it ever abundant rain. We haven’t had that in so long. It was non stop! So glad for a break.
My suggestion is to purchase a single burner induction hot plate. Maybe a hand pump on your well and start preparing emergency survival kit. Stay safe and warm. Have a happy new year.
Prayers for all!
Question, why doesn’t Bert park his truck in the garage as well?
Prayers sent. ❤
So glad ya'll are ok. We have had tornados in GA. Possibly more bad storms tonight. Crazy weather. Stay safe and Happy New Year!
wow hope your power is back on.
Happy NewYear 2022
We wish you a very happy New Year! We know that this past year has been full of challenges, and we pray that the coming year brings more certain times for your family. Sending all our love and good wishes for better days ahead.
Amen! Blessings n Peace To You n Family
Well some areas of TX had no power for well over a week even some of our town peeps had no water for 2 weeks. Glad y’all got most prepared and can help your neighbors and family.
Prayers for everyone I think we're all dealing with some type of crazy weather right now hope you all have a safe an happy new year 🎆❤
I am praying for you all God bless you all and please stay safe love to you all and prayers for you all
Happy New Year! Stay warm and safe. Love your family and videos.
Hello my friend. How are you doing happy new year 🎆🎊
Happy New Years to the Somers Family from Sis' Maria in NC.
Stay safe guys. Hope all is well. That’s crazy that you lived there your whole life and you have never seen a storm that bad.
Happy New Year's. Thank you for vlogmas! and hoping the storm is over now!
Hello Kim how are you doing. Happy new year 🎈🎊
Glad you are all OK and praying the rest of the storm doesn't have a huge effect on you. Thank you for sharing all this and showing us what you are going through and the extreme weather in Alaska. It's so good to know you are not only surviving, but as a community, thriving, as you all pull together to help one another. Stay safe ☃️
Hello Jodi how are you doing. Happy new year 🎆🎊
Happy New Year Somers Family! I'm glad that you all are safe and sound...praying that things get better soon.
That was sweet of the cashier to say hi to everyone! ❤
Happy new year!!! The situation you guys are in reminds me of the ice storm we had in 09 in owensboro ky. It was pretty bad. People were out of power for a week or so. Hope everything gets better soon. Prayers
I lived in Marion ky in 09 we were out for 13 days
Am so sorry for every one who going through this power outage, my advice to you is to get a small stove that use propane gas keep it in your garage for emergency. Good luck to you all stay warm.
It’s great that Alaskans look out for one another. Wish the whole world would do the same. ❤️
My Lesson years ago...The Early bird catches the worm 😀 If your in need hit the store ASAP!!! Then learn to be stocked up before storms 👍👍👍
We have a standby generac with 2 propane tanks and we are in New Hampshire . They are super expensive , but the investment gave us such piece of mind! I hope you all get your power back soon❤️Happy New Year!!
They are nice aren't they. I have one also
@@BorninVirginia so worth it!!!
I can't help but think of the elderly, physically impaired, or even single parents 😔 how do they make it through?
the same way they make it through everything else.. prepare and ask for help when needed.
Stay warm, be safe, prayers for all. You are such good people always thinking of others. May GOD Bless you all!
I like these videos too. Storms, power outages, etc. It’s very interesting to see how people deal with these things!
when we live din Missouri we had 8 years of ice storms lost heat, power, we had one propane heater that I would use a grating to warm coffee, no showers pipes frozen I live in the southwest now, and covid and Missouri taught me to always be prepared and never take anything for granted. We are having 50 mile hour winds and 21 degrees, I have plenty of everything and we have a propane heater and range
Hello Priscilla how are you doing. Happy new year 🎊🎆
Prayers for everyone.
Hello Sharon how are you doing. Happy new year 🎊
Praying for everyone.
Yeah it was bad!
Hi Vickie how are you doing. Happy new year 🎊
We use a propane camping stove for cooking.
