When I was a brand new mom ( my son was born December 15th ) I was very overwhelmed and stressed out and I woke up Christmas morning to my front porch loaded with little gifts, groceries and encouraging cards. Ect.... this was almost 12 years ago and I still remember it in vivid detail. What you are doing for this family will truly stick with them for years to come.

D'oh! I said $500-ish. Was the "-ish" after the fact, I can't say.
More than that, Burt, I want to say, man to man. You are an inspiration to men, young and old alike. For the many of us who didn't have fathers, it's guys like you who give us half a chance of knowing how to be good father ourselves. Without people like you, we have nothing. And neither do our children.

Seeing the prices in this video, makes me feel grateful that prices here at my local grocery stores are lower. Well, I live in Galena, so they're spot on. However, we do very little shopping at the store here. We buy most our years dry goods from Fairbanks in one haul and send them in on the barge during the summer. Fresh fruits and vegetables are flow in on Fred Meyer bush orders after paying a 10% handling charge and air freight at almost $1.00 per pound. Then we subsistence hunt for moose, bear and fish for all of our protein. We only utilize the stores for quick necessities and the occasional snack.

This Sunday's sermon was about giving with a generous and glad heart. So much fear about shortages. Bless you and your family for keeping up generosity.

Oh, my heart is so full after that. I can just picture the kids being so excited about having bacon and other things that may not be on their menu lately. So hard to feed a family these days and in these Alaska villages I can't imagine how they manage. The village will be so influenced by this. Giving is what God wants us to do. Thank you being such a good advocate for "giving" especially in these times when people are so "me" centered. God Bless your family. Joan

That shopping tour was eye opening. 👀. Thank you for what y’all do. After hearing what your fuel bill is a few times a year…. 😳 That family will definitely benefit. Mom so grateful. You’re such a blessing. 👍🏼🌴

I love seeing you do that! That was most likely needed more than we know! Thank you for sharing! Your family is going to be so blessed for all you do! We need more families like yours. Some are I have seen on you tube but lots are not snd they have over a million subscribers snd do not see them do any thing for any one but theirselves! I try to help where I can. Not always do we have it to do but I try! We have been in hard times ourselves before so I know how that is.
