SAME! I lived in Norfolk Virginia for a good 4 years (dad was US Navy) and good lord I remember the East Coast does NOT mess around when it comes to the 4 seasons. It’s the extreme for all 4 and summer was no exception.
I prefer warmer weather to colder. My joints don't hurt as much when it is warm. I typically wear brows, eyeliner and mascara but my eyeliner travels so I might have to wear a Charlotte Tilbury cream eyeshadow. That Dior lip maximizer caught my eye.
It’s 10 am, 90 degrees with 79% humidity just outside of Tampa, FL. When I took our dog out a little while ago it felt like a sauna. We are supposed to have rain. But here in FL, rain doesn’t bring relief. It only brings more humidity. I usually just apply the minimal, concealer where I need it, a touch of blush and tinted lip balm. Just enough so that I don’t scare anybody. I usually skip eye makeup unless we’re going to be doing something special. Otherwise, live in the a/c.❤
Oops! I also use Colorscience, Sunforgettable Protection FaceShield tinted as foundation if I am going to be out. Otherwise my usual is one from Biore. My ideal climate is, mid 80’s during the day and upper 60’s to low 70’s at night.
I am a cool weather gal myself! You looked so beautiful!! ❤ I loved this entire look! It has been 80 degrees every day at around 10am(!!!!!) for the last two weeks here in NYC. There is a breeze sometimes but omg! It just gets hotter during the day 😢
I don’t hate the heat but I do loathe the cold! Best part about living in Portland are the seasons. I get to experience all of them. Ladies, especially my hot flash sisters, my best makeup tip for hot days is Chantecaille Sheer Glow Rose Face Tint. It’s beautiful and cooling on the face!
I grew up in SoCal and have some great memories. But I too hate the heat, and the day I realized it was just gonna get hotter is the day I moved to Seattle, best decision I ever made.
We are so lucky here in the U.K. 🇬🇧We had 2 days of absolutely gorgeous weather 🌞& then came the rain to cool us all off 🌧️ - hurray! 🙄 My tongue is firmly in my cheek🤣 I think those 2 glorious days might have been our Summer 😤😊💕

In the Netherlands it is about 85 degrees Fahrenheit (tnx Google for the math) but I don't complain. Spring was colder and wetter then regular and this summerweather is just for a couple of days. Next week it drops back to the high 60's Fahrenheit. When it is hot, I don't were any except sunscreen, a lipbalm and I keep a watermist on hand to keep it fresh.If I need to glam up, I make it easy. Think one and done and as easy as it can be. So skin-tint, facepalette and a single eyeshadow, masacara and lipstick and I call it a day.
I think a little bit of heat here and there is kind of nice when you live in a colder climate because it feels like a little bit of a vacation. But let me tell you, day after day after day, it’s drudgery.
I literally broke out in hives from the heat yesterday. I live in California in the Napa Valley and it’s full on fire season here. I HATE,HATE,HATE hot weather. I’m super oily, going through menopause so my body runs hot, and with the hot weather it makes me angry and grumpy. With that said makeup is my therapy so I still love applying my makeup I just stay clear from any foundation that is moisturizing.
I don't live in California, but I feel your pain. Look for moisture wicking clothing and lounge wear. Same for sheets. Cozy Earth carries both. Also, if you have hot flashes at night sleep on towels. The loft helps circulate air and you won't wake up in a puddle. Danessa Myricks has upsalite that will absorb oil and sweat. Even if you just tap a bit of her blurring balm in Universal wherever you get oily, it's a game changer. Haven't tried her Skin Tint, but considering it. Upsalite will absorb oil but won't dry you out. Doesn't get cakey either. Some meds help with hot flashes, but talk to your doc about that.

I’ll feel like I’m the only one with oily skin that doesn’t get along with that balm she has Love her groundwork palettes though. Mally Beauty has this weird clear wax looking thing that does work on me. The struggle is real with 49 year old oily skin. I feel like I’m the only one.

I'm pretty Light, so wasn't sure how many colors would work on me. I was thinking of maybe getting her Groundwork Blooming Romance. Which one do you have? Is it worth the money? FYI, I am a lot older than you are and still have an oily T Zone. Plus the wrong products break me out. Thank heavens for Erno Laszlo Detox Double Cleanse! The whole thing about dry skin as you age is a myth IMO. In fact, I'm convinced that a lot of over 40 people think they're dry when they really just need to exfoliate more. Oooooh! Speaking of Erno Laszlo, have you tried Shake-it? It's a pigmented anti-oil product that you pat on that mattifies and also prevents oil breakthrough. Erno Laszlo has periodic sales on their website, and Nordstrom carries them too. You can use it all over your face and makeup works over it. I've never tried putting a foundation on top though. It's tinted so I just use it as my base. But worth trying. And Nordstrom takes returns if it doesn't work out. Good Luck!
I was 98 here yesterday and the humidity was like stepping into a hot shower. ☀️🥵😭I hate it so much!!!! I’m a fall girlie! Give me a cozy sweater and a bit of a chill breeze but not cold enough to wear a jacket and I’m in heaven. I was out last weekend from Noon to 4 canvassing for a candidate running for the newly over gerrymandered NC House district 105 (Go Nicole Sidman!! Go democracy!) I wore almost no makeup, but I did need to look un-scary and human enough for people not to turn their dogs on me. I used and reapplied lots and lots of sunscreen, the Danessa Skin Tint, the Hello Sunday spf 50 clear lip balm, and Victoria Beckham original tubing mascara spritzed with MAC fix Stay Over setting spray and it lasted. I did order a UPF 50+ travel Sun umbrella to walk around with the next time! I’ve used it on some dog walks this week and it not only add protection from the sun, it feels a few degrees cooler when the sun isn’t beating down on you. I loved this video and that we chose the same skin tint for these kinds of hot weather looks! Woot!! 🤗

That’s me complaining, not you. I actually have some audacity complaining about humidity and heat and Southern California. You are experiencing the real deal. The Danessa product is fantastic for it though! What I hate about Southern California lately it’s really hot all the way through December. In fact our main heat actually starts at the end of August and I am just grouchy through the entire part of it. I actually envy those people who love the heat. That would be nice Because it’s hot more than not

Hi Rebecca, I am a Autumn (fall) lover, Summer is a nightmare for me, here in Australia our summer’s generally are very hot, so I use reliable products on my mature oily skin, Nars light reflecting foundation, Natasha Denona eyeshadow palettes, Natasha Denona blush palette, waterproof mascara, Laura mercier setting powder, and a good setting spray, so Christmas for us is in our summer ( what fun!! insert sarcasm). That’s right. Your snow is replaced by sunshine. If it makes you feel any better it’s usually incredibly hot here in Southern California through December. So we can do a toast to our mutual miserableness in late December!
Adore hot weather; if I’m hot other people are dead 😂. I have super duper oily skin. I recently wore Tirtir foundation, Charlotte Tilbury cream bronzer (and in the crease), Pat McGrath cream blush in Sunkissed Seducion on cheeks and lips, and Pat McGrath Dark Star mascara. Fabulous summer look.
I live in the Washington DC area, and our summers are hot and humid. We live indoors in the AC as much as we can. And I have a Dyson fan for more air circulation too. Because, like you, I cannot handle heat. For hot weather makeup, the only color I wear is either the Perricone Moisturizer that's Tinted (it's skin care in one color because it oxides and is very sheer and lightweight, but evens out discoloration) or I use that Chantecaille Sheer Glow, mixing the Bronze and Rose. Then, like you, working at home I use a lip product with color and moisture (nothing beats Suqqu Moisture Glaze Lipstick), and a bit of radiant blush and highlighter. For eyes I use my highlighter on my lids, and use a powder or liquid liner, a bit of mascara, and I'm done. I didn't mention concealer because I use Touche Eclat under my eyes and pat a powder concealer (Bare Minerals Summer Bisque or just Bisque) where necessary. For clothes I find a maxi dress cut that I love (Karen Kane still has one in Navy and in Black) and top it with a summer linen type cardigan (think Nic and Zoe) or a lightweight, maybe baby terry lined, blazer (usually Ralph Lauren) and wear sandals. Then think moisture wicking everywhere you can. For instance, under those maci dresses I wear Jockey slipshorts. No shaping, but dresses glide over and they wick away moisture. Same moisture wicking with some of the Cozy Earth lounge wear (a nice California brand), same with many Nike clothing products. There are other brands that have moisture wicking, but those fit me and come in a wide range of sizes. Hope something helps. I got hot just watching you. Thanks for the video!💚

Love the look and revisiting some past products… sorry for the hot and grouchy! I like the hot weather and if too hot into ac I go… favorite foundation is Chanel les beiges water fresh tint ( one with only a little tint) or the dupe from Cover Girl being similar with tint beads in serum.
It's true that even if you LIKE the hot weather, I'm envious, Karen, makeup choice still matters. I heard there was a Cover Girl dupe for the Chanel that's pretty good.
Thanks for all the product tips and recommendations. I am part of the I HATE hot weather camp!! I am such a miserable, grouchy hot weather person. I barely want to move much less apply makeup or even worse fix my hair! It’s so hard to manage life when it’s hot. Sure, if I’m inside the coolness of the house or another air conditioned space but put me outside in high temps and high humidity, hmm no. Just this morning, I was going to take the dogs out for a walk before it got too hot. The temperature between 530 and 6 am was 75 degrees BUT wait for it, with humidity it already felt like 85 degrees!!🥵🥵🥵 I apologized to the dogs as we sat on the couch in the ac! I just wasn’t built for this hot humid weather mess.
Honestly. It’s ridiculous. My dad told me the other day that I don’t hate hot weather. He said I hate extremes meaning that I wouldn’t like 20° below zero as well. And the way I agree with that, I would actually choose 20° below zero before humidity

If I had someone to go with, I would be at the lake camping on the weekends. Like tents and all lol. I was raised that way. When my dad and his side of the family were still living we lived at the lake. But I no longer have any one to go with. I absolutely LOVE that Dior gloss that you used. I have never seen it before. I live in Athens Greece and summer for me at least is misery. The city has become extremely warm recently. Most of ppl here, enjoy summer going to the coasts etc but i prefer staying home when outside is so hot. The good think that we have a/c every where. Skin care, sunscreen, concealer, LE Skin tint T6 or Make /Gee/Chanel LeTeint Water Based Tint(?)...maybe CT Pressed Powder...Bronzer-too many to name 😂😂😂that's it .w Elf Lip oil or Dior Addict Gloss. Top off w Sunglasses and get onto AC asap if needed! I stay indoors if Im not working - outdoor activities, going to the gym, errands before 11 am! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Later....when sun starting to move!!

Honestly skin cancer is rife. A friend of ours recently had skin cancer diagnosed inside his ear . He is recovering from his operation now . But scary times . Great video as always a pleasure ❤️🤗
Oh my goodness. I hope your friend has an easy recovery. There is no doubt that skin cancer is dangerous and even without the cancer the wrinkles and the skin damage ruin our skin

I don't know how you guys do it, kudos to you! Whenever we have a little heat here in Sweden, I can't apply makeup on myself, I don't know how or what to apply. I don't enjoy hot weather. Between 15 to 20 degrees Celsius is enough for me.
It's going to be 22 degrees here on Sunday! For an English Summer I usually go for the chanel tinted thing. Last year i did the water fresh tint. This year I went for the "next one up" in terms of coverage but I dont like it as much.
Ahhh the water fresh tint is perfect for a hot day. I can see why you would prefer the lighter coverage as well. A little bit of concealer and you’re good to go

Hello, I'm absolutely a heat hater (so I'm more of a summer hater, it depends on the weather) :-D Fortunately, I live in a region of the world that is neither extremely cold nor extremely hot, compared to everything else. A lot is possible here in summer, at the moment it's halfway ok, it's still below 30 degrees Celsius. I live in a very old house, it's ok here even without air conditioning BUT I don't like going out in the direct sun when it's over 30 degrees. Now to the make-up: IF I wear make-up in midsummer, then at the moment it's just to shape my eyebrows, simple eyeshadow looks, mascara and lipstick, nothing more. Instead, I do more skincare, refreshing serums, mild cleansing, more moisture. I'm always highlighted and blushed in summer anyway, even without make-up ;-D All the best, Maria

Here in the UK we are having our heat wave however it’s much cooler today. Loved the Benefit, CT, Armani, Saie, Makeup by Mario & Dior products used. When I’m home and its this weather its just skincare/spf but if im going out i still like to have the glowy fresh rosy pink makeup look 🍹.
I love the heat waves and Great Britain because everybody’s out there taking their shirts off and burning themselves. I’m always wanting to run around and give everybody sunscreen.

For this summer my makeup it’s super simple. Sunscreen, powder because I’m oily, blush, lipstick but just a bit and blotted and rubbed.

Adore hot weather; if I’m hot other people are dead 😂. I have super duper oily skin. I recently wore Tirtir foundation, Charlotte Tilbury cream bronzer (and in the crease), Pat McGrath cream blush in Sunkissed Seducion on cheeks and lips, and Pat McGrath Dark Star mascara. Fabulous summer look.

I live in the Washington DC area, and our summers are hot and humid. We live indoors in the AC as much as we can. And I have a Dyson fan for more air circulation too. Because, like you, I cannot handle heat. For hot weather makeup, the only color I wear is either the Perricone Moisturizer that's Tinted (it's skin care in one color because it oxides and is very sheer and lightweight, but evens out discoloration) or I use that Chantecaille Sheer Glow, mixing the Bronze and Rose. Then, like you, working at home I use a lip product with color and moisture (nothing beats Suqqu Moisture Glaze Lipstick), and a bit of radiant blush and highlighter. For eyes I use my highlighter on my lids, and use a powder or liquid liner, a bit of mascara, and I'm done. I didn't mention concealer because I use Touche Eclat under my eyes and pat a powder concealer (Bare Minerals Summer Bisque or just Bisque) where necessary.
For clothes I find a maxi dress cut that I love (Karen Kane still has one in Navy and in Black) and top it with a summer linen type cardigan (think Nic and Zoe) or a lightweight, maybe baby terry lined, blazer (usually Ralph Lauren) and wear sandals. Then think moisture wicking everywhere you can. For instance, under those maci dresses I wear Jockey slipshorts. No shaping, but dresses glide over and they wick away moisture. Same moisture wicking with some of the Cozy Earth lounge wear (a nice California brand), same with many Nike clothing products. There are other brands that have moisture wicking, but those fit me and come in a wide range of sizes. Hope something helps. I got hot just watching you. Thanks for the video!💚

I like the hot weather and if too hot into ac I go… favorite foundation is Chanel les beiges water fresh tint ( one with only a little tint) or the dupe from Cover Girl being similar with tint beads in serum.
It's true that even if you LIKE the hot weather, I'm envious, Karen, makeup choice still matters. I heard there was a Cover Girl dupe for the Chanel that's pretty good.

Thanks for all the product tips and recommendations. I am part of the I HATE hot weather camp!! I am such a miserable, grouchy hot weather person. I barely want to move much less apply makeup or even worse fix my hair! It’s so hard to manage life when it’s hot. Sure, if I’m inside the coolness of the house or another air conditioned space but put me outside in high temps and high humidity, hmm no. Just this morning, I was going to take the dogs out for a walk before it got too hot. The temperature between 530 and 6 am was 75 degrees BUT wait for it, with humidity it already felt like 85 degrees!!🥵🥵🥵 I apologized to the dogs as we sat on the couch in the ac!
I just wasn’t built for this hot humid weather mess.
Honestly. It’s ridiculous. My dad told me the other day that I don’t hate hot weather. He said I hate extremes meaning that I wouldn’t like 20° below zero as well. And the way I agree with that, I would actually choose 20° below zero before humidity

If I had someone to go with, I would be at the lake camping on the weekends. Like tents and all lol. I was raised that way. When my dad and his side of the family were still living we lived at the lake. But I no longer have any one to go with. I absolutely LOVE that Dior gloss that you used. I have never seen it before. I live in Athens Greece and summer for me at least is misery. The city has become extremely warm recently. Most of ppl here, enjoy summer going to the coasts etc but i prefer staying home when outside is so hot. The good think that we have a/c every where. Your make up turned out pretty and quick so will definitely try it! Thanks x

I prefer warmer weather as I live in Chicago! That said, I don't like temps above 90 and humidity is a big old No! Today is absolutely gorgeous...71 ish!😅😅😅😅 Sorry friends! Skin care, sunscreen, concealer, LE Skin tint T6 or Make /Gee/Chanel LeTeint Water Based Tint(?)...maybe CT Pressed Powder...Bronzer-too many to name 😂😂😂that's it .w Elf Lip oil or Dior Addict Gloss. Top off w Sunglasses and get onto AC asap if needed! I stay indoors if Im not working - outdoor activities, going to the gym, errands before 11 am! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Later....when sun starting to move!!

Honestly skin cancer is rife. A friend of ours recently had skin cancer diagnosed inside his ear . He is recovering from his operation now . But scary times . Great video as always a pleasure ❤️🤗

It's going to be 22 degrees here on Sunday! For an English Summer I usually go for the chanel tinted thing. Last year i did the water fresh tint. This year I went for the "next one up" in terms of coverage but I dont like it as much.
Ahhh the water fresh tint is perfect for a hot day. I can see why you would prefer the lighter coverage as well. A little bit of concealer and you’re good to go

I'm absolutely a heat hater (so I'm more of a summer hater, it depends on the weather) :-D
Fortunately, I live in a region of the world that is neither extremely cold nor extremely hot, compared to everything else.
A lot is possible here in summer, at the moment it's halfway ok, it's still below 30 degrees Celsius. I live in a very old house, it's ok here even without air conditioning BUT I don't like going out in the direct sun when it's over 30 degrees.
Now to the make-up: IF I wear make-up in midsummer, then at the moment it's just to shape my eyebrows, simple eyeshadow looks, mascara and lipstick, nothing more.
Instead, I do more skincare, refreshing serums, mild cleansing, more moisture. I'm always highlighted and blushed in summer anyway, even without make-up ;-D
