I really like that shade of foundation on you. This one looks great. Not sure how that person thinks you should apply the foundation their way?? I like your approach and am always disappointed when someone uses a primer before applying foundation because it may skew the wear test.

A lot of people have trouble seeing the world through different eyes. So they want me to apply it exactly the way they do at home. I suppose that’s an idea for a personal paid service ha ha
If you get makeup on clothes, then dampen a white cloth with some clear, alcohol-based makeup brush cleanser (like Isoclean) and just blot it. It'll come straight out after a few pats. Brush cleanser is dedicated to remove makeup and acts like a dry-cleaning solution for clothing, carpets and soft furnishings... 😎✌🏼💜
Smart! I noticed (in the way back machine) that suddenly brushes became harder to clean. Then I realized that foundations were coming out as long wear. Yep. Long wear 😅
Foundation and makeup applications are so subjective, even amongst professional makeup artists. I personally appreciate when reviewers apply products without other potentially interfering (pigment, oxidation, peeling, etc for foundations) products (my gripe is when reviewers will apply a bronzer and/or contour and lightly go with blush to show viewers the blush color, and not even swatch the blush on back of a hand or arm). I really appreciate how you review and demonstrate makeup. Also respect you for pursuing journalism and appreciate you for your sense of accountability in your content!
“A rash of foundation-but that makes it sound bad for your skin” 😂😂😂😂😂 I have the Haus Labs mascara. I think it gives a very fluffy, fanned out lash. It’s good for more natural looks. My favorite “natural looking” mascara is the Surratt with the weird metal spiral applicator. Omg that one is so pretty and natural looking. My current favorite mascara is still the Sweed because I can get a light look with it in one coat, but I can also get a much more dramatic lash if I want to take it there.
The way you test foundations makes complete sense (not using concealer, powder, setting spray, etc) so that if any issues arise, you will know it was from the foundation and nothing else. The colour was a little dark at first, but it looked pretty good on camera after you applied it fully! I also preferred the look of the Tarte mascara, as I like a more dramatic looking lash, but I can see the appeal of both for different kind of looks.

I have oily eyelids that break down mascaras, so the tubing ones are all I use, the tarte xl not the original, tubing is very good and now it’s in a brown! Yay
Exactly. If a product is made to be worn with something else then I’ll do it but if not I just don’t see how putting it on one way does anyone any good. I would have to like do 20 different combos

I can see the olive in the shade. That will be a pick up for someone based on that. The new Gucci mascara has my eye-I repurchase the OG. 15 years ago I liked the Tarte OG. How was the wash off? What lash curler is best for round eyes? No siren eyes here.
I got a mini of the tarte “purple” mascara. I was surprised at how good it was. I tend to stick to drugstore mascara and one luxury formula for “special”. I was looking at 2N but looking at reviews they look warm. Then I remember their old foundation is one of my only cool foundations because they were warm too. I am deff going to try but may have to do a different shade.
Mascara reviews. What I look for is: is it lengthening, volumizing, smudging, flakes, etc. waterproof is easy to get off with remover so I don’t worry about it

Not on my low buy dance card, but that new Dior foundation is calling to me of all of the foundation releases. I do agree the color is a little (okay a whole lot) deep on you and I don’t love the matte (read dry) finish. I like their original foundation better.
Their shades always run so strange. It’s frustrating and I can’t really enjoy it because the shade is so wrong. And then I want to experiment and get a more correct shade but I am awash, as usual, in foundations and it’s not captivating me enough to do that.

Rebecca I actually like the finish of this foundation. Maybe because every release is glowy glowy glowy… still thinking about Dior hydra Nude because although glowy, it seems more natural. My skin type is combo but nose seems to always seem shiny. The only issue with this foundation is the color. I checked it out and I would have chosen the same color as you and it is a bit dark. I’m neutral undertone so not sure where to go with that. Maybe have to try in store but not sure options in Ulta which is closer to me. Mascaras are nice on you. Agree the Tarte one looks slightly better. For me, I’d like a rich brown though for every day. I must say I saw a review of the Gucci, only black, and something about it was beautiful. Haven’t stopped thinking about it since 🤦🏼♀️
And we just had a comment from viewer Veronica who says that, in another ABH foundation, she actually had to choose a cool tone because everything was going so warm. So I think their shades are just very strange. If you choose wisely though, you will really enjoy the foundation itself. How to choose wisely? I’m not really sure ha ha ha

So I am an obsessive jelly cat collector and I have gotten both of my daughters and all of their friends on board. My daughter actually did a jelly cat exchange at the holidays. And I just bought the new ram that they released. One day I’m gonna have to just get together all of the jelly cats that we own in this house and take a photo.
I'm still loving the one size foundation it's soooo good and you know what foundation I'm waiting for 🧐🤔. Mascara is the one product that i will buy drugstore aswell as higher end because we have to change them so often. i love my Benefit mascaras but i also really like Maybelline mascaras so for now these are a pass

Can I just say that as far as pricing/affordability of high quality makeup products as well as packaging both ABH and Fenty Beauty are the most affordable or price conscious high end makeup brands. Take for example the recent release from ABH of two 9 pan eyeshadow palettes (Sugar and Spice) priced at $29 each which iIMO is exceptional. I have the Sugar palette and can attest to the quality and performance of the shadows and the beautiful packaging. Another brand that comes to mind is Morphe. Don’t overlook them ladies for tools and makeup!

Serum foundations are going to be better in tropical heat because they just kind of become part of your face. This one might transfer a little bit but nothing like these hydrating dewy foundations which would be all over everything in high heat

Oh it’s true. Olive skintones have such trouble with complexion products and this one is definitely gonna fit the Bill

Oh for sure but the serum mascara smell like… Serum. I don’t really know how else to describe it but it’s an odd smell.
