There's a plastic coating that is put on the leather when manufactured. I use very little leather conditioner on my car leather and wipe sell to keep the classic matt finish . A shiney leather finish cheapens it
Yes, many people certainly desire a natural appearance with little to no shine. That being the case you would want to consider using our Gold Class Leather Cleaner Conditioner in the cream/lotion or our new Ultimate Leather Detailer.

3:42 I've got a feeling they really didn't want to actually stain the trunk liner fabric, so they had someone eat potato chips in there instead.

What is the difference between Meguiars Natural Shine and Meguiars Ultimate Protectant, which one provides more gloss or last longer for rubber and plastics ?
The Ultimate Protectant will give quite a bit more shine and will last a little longer. 👍

Im hesitating, since my 2016 Mercedes CLS has a a lot of leather parts. The upper part of the dashboard and doorcards are leather. But I'm 100 sure that they are the cheap faux ones (my car is an entry level one not the expensive nappa, etc variants) So how should i treat those areas? As a vinyl, or as a leather? :D
Difficult to say for sure without know exactly what material they are but if you want to play it safe you could certainly use our Ultimate Leather Detailer. It would be safe on both, does a good job of cleaning and is a great conditioner. Just keep in mind it will leave a more natural finish and does not provide a high shine. If you are looking for a high shine we have other options.
I prefer the Meguires Quick Interior Detailer i like the look of texture plastic. Rather then Shine I purchased the Ultimate interior Detailer. Don’t really like it much

what product would you recommend for cleaning the steering wheel, is it okay to clean it with all purpose cleaner ?
Hi Freddie, yes, our D101 All Purpose Cleaner would be OK to clean a steering wheel. You can also use our D181 Leather Cleaner or G18516 Gold Class Leather & Vinyl Cleaner, or even our G13616 or D149 Quik Interior Detailer Cleaner if only light cleaning is needed.
I was going to use the ultimate interior detailer for dash and doors.. can i also use this on leatherette seats in a mazda 3 or would you recommend something else
Yes, that would be fine on your seats also. 👍
A tip for the best application when applying any interior product.. Spray the product onto the towel/applicator first and then wipe it on the surface.

Primarily the form of application but the balm is an even more premium conditioner. Both will leave a nice natural appearance with very little shine.

Not sure what you are asking? We certainly don't recommend it be intentionally used on a person. If you are asking if incidental contact from over spray is dangerous, no it does not contain anything that would create a problem for most people. Of course we cannot speak to any given individuals personal allergies.
Seems like Ultimate Interior Detailer is too slick for some surfaces. I like Quick Interior Detailer.

Interior black radio cover scratches, which 1 is the correct product?
Unfortunately we do not have a product that would remove scratches in this kind of plastic.
After meguiars quik interior detailer can I apply some plastic dressing? Or just leave after meguiars?!
If you prefer the natural appearance left behind by the Quik Interior Detailer you can just stop there. If you want a shine you may want to then consider using our Natural Shine Protectant (low gloss) or our Supreme Shine Protectant (high gloss).

After I use Ultimate Interior Detailer, do I still need to use Natural Shine Protectant? Because it says Ultimate Interior Detailer provides UV protection already. Make me confuse :(
You do not need both. If you want some shine choose the Natural Shine. If you want no shine you will want to use the Quik Interior Detailer.

Yes, the Natural Shine will give some shine while the Quik Interior Detailer will leave nearly no shine.

Yes, certainly can be.
And a tip when applying any interior product is to spray it onto the towel or applicator pad first and then wipe it on the surface. 👍
Would the leather balm work for moderate cleaning?
The Leather Balm is primarily a conditioner. If you need more cleaning with great conditioning that leaves a nice natural appearance you should consider our new Ultimate Leather Detailer...

Thanks! Every 4 - 6 weeks is our general recommendation. Despite what some people say, automotive leather benefits greatly from cleaning & conditioning often.

I've used this for years and recommended it frequently, but I bought a new bottle and it wasn't working as well. I looked at the labels and it used to be ester acetate (smells like vinegar) and now it's isopropanol. The old stuff stripped off dirt amazingly well and left a squeaky clean surface to use shine/protectant on. The combination made cars look new. Newer stuff seems worse. Is there anything sold roughly equivalent to the old formula?
The ingredients of our Quik Interior Detailer were tweaked very slightly several years ago but had not real impact on performance. Only the scent was affected and as you know that vinegar smell was unexpected and not pleasant. The formula was tweaked again slightly to solve that issue but again it did not have an effect on the performance at all. All of this happened several years ago so the chances of any perceived difference could only be from a bottle that is very old at this point.

The Quik Interior Detailer does offer UV protection. If you like the satin/natural appearance it leaves behind you certainly do not have to follow with a vinyl and rubber dressing; however if you want a shine on your interior plastic and vinyl you will want to use one.

Will the Quick Interior Detailer condition the plastics except from cleaning?
It is primarily used for maintenance type cleaning and it will offer UV protection as well. It does not condition plastic, no.

@@meguiars black trim. I prefer no shine at all. And silicone free . So , which product is perfect for me?
While there are many vinyl & rubber products that are water based almost all still have silicone. This does not make them harmful. We do have a silicone free dressing in our Professional Detailer line however it will give shine and is only offered in the gallon size.
Your best bet might be our new Hybrid Ceramic Trim Restorer as it will leave a nice natural appearance and lasts a long time; however it is not silicone free.
For leather and leatherette dashboard do you recommend ultimate interior cleaner or ultimate leather balm?
The Leather Balm is really designed for leather seats and actual leather. It is not designed for a dashboard. The Quik Interior Detailer will work well as a maintenance product to keep the interior clean and leave a very little to no sheen.

It is designed to not create gloss. by putting a thin coating on your leather as advised you will not run into creating gloss.

@@meguiars well I had these sticky pads to put onto my dashboard, they hold my phone but after removing them, there's a mark and they say that it's due to the heat.
Tough to say but your best bet would be our M39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner.

The Quik Interior Detailer would be safe. 👍
Although designed for exterior painted surfaces it would be safe on hard interior surfaces as well.

How do you clean Suede/Alcantara ?
We do not have a specific product for suede/alcantara. We would suggest a suede brush. You can also blot stains with distilled water and a cotton/microfiber towel. A clean pencil eraser can also work for dry stains. Other than those options you would want to find a cleaner made specific for suede.

I use wipes for my dashboard. Do I need to wipe off the excess or leave there to settle?
Typically you don't need to wipe anything off with another towel but if the product you are using is leaving more shine than you desire, or is heavier in some areas than others, you could certainly run another clean towel over it to even it out and cut back the shine a little.
What to use for leather Dash?
Do you mean to clean some kind of stubborn dirt, grime, or stain? Do you mean just to maintain/condition the leather?
