    Great info about how location effects golden hour! If you’re at the beach you need later sunset as opposed to woodsy areas, you definitely need earlier times

    Good video refresher! Remember that you taught us in the course to Google sunrise and sunset times in your area! That was a great tip.

    Thanks for the great video lady's! Just picked up a camera again after 9 years off. I miss it so much and want to make a career out of it. Your videos are helping heaps. Just wish I never sold my 5dmk3. Just picked a Canon 80d to get me back into it with a 24-105mm L f4 lens. Thanks for the great tips. 🇦🇺

    Tip: Lens flare can be added as an FX in post. I usually don't have time to wait for it so I have a bunch of different lens flares made with a 3D engine for getting a custom and realistic effect.

    Great video as usual. Just wondering if you expose for the background and correctly expose the subject in post or do you use a speed light?

    • @esquared.photography
      @esquared.photography  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We typically expose for the subject and we don’t use a speed light.

    So just having a lense hood will help with the hazzy photos or we really need to be shaded?

    • @esquared.photography
      @esquared.photography  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lens hood could help for sure but we find shading our lens/ourselves is the biggest advantage

  • @lindasheppard2606
    @lindasheppard2606 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    When you have a back-lit subject do you use spot or matrix metering on your camera? It would seem like the subject's face would be very dark with the light behind them.

    • @esquared.photography
      @esquared.photography  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We use matrix but a lot of people love spot metering for this. We also sometimes will use a reflector to help.
