Good to see Robert and Tanya having a good year after the turmoil of weather in the past. Stimulating the economy is one of Robert's special gifts. We love it.
Even though i retired a while ago, after 47 seasons cutting up to 2000 acres a year in the UK (Britain) i still miss it and would love to harvest in Australia.
Nice to see some Winnipeg made farm equipment in action ....the Macdon header and Versatile tractor. Great farming video from way over there. Keep it up. 👍👍
I noticed the fire 🔥 fighting tanks and pumps on the chase trailers. Also the clear sky.😊. Wonderful Back here in Australia 🇦🇺 the days can have storms building right when we are trying to get the crop off. Fire 🔥 is always an issue.
I worked on this farm in 2001. Stayed with Wendy and Ian, Roberts parents. They are a very kind family. I drove that blue Versatile and Finch chaser bin! They had a big bud then too.
about your female drivers .[ i remember years ago when i thought females should just bring a feed down the paddock ,and stay away from driving headers etc because they where at best steering wheel holders ,not real operators] i watched an impressive ,eye opening doco on dale stark the big texas stripping contractor who made a statement about his female drivers being better than males because they weren't as rough on the gear . well hopefully we all live and learn .
Interesting place Aus. The toilets flush backward, the seasons are backward and farmers hang mud flaps in front of tires and not behind. I'd like to visit there one day.
what are the flaps in front of the tractor tires good for? Thanks! And what is the vombine speed and yield? Seems really fast but I am used to German yields
Interesting to see the figure of 200t per hour which I assume is the total from four harvesters. I hear the highest capacity harvesters will do over 90 tonnes per hour in heavy wheat crops in the UK so it illustrates how different the yields per hectare are between intensive (UK) and more extensive systems (Aus). I guess moisture in the soil makes a big difference too. Great video and always informative seeing how farming is done different around the world. Long time retired farmer but I still do my bit trying to keep people informed about why farming is so important. Farming under political attack from every quarter here in Europe.
200t per hr from the four headers. I don’t think we could match your yields our soils aren’t as fertile as yours and our rainfall would be less. The interesting thing about our country, most of it was only cleared about fifty years ago.
I am a retired farmer and trucker living in the Philippines. Have done the harvest every year since 1954 minuses 4 years while in Navy. Am 76 and missing it would be interested in doing a harvest in Australia. Any way I could be of service am interested can't do strenuous work any more but willing to be an operator trucker or cart driver have extensive experience in all the above even ran a harvest crew on year in US
If you give these people a ring, you might get a job. Spring Park. Rod Messina 0428611630. Wyalong Daniel Critch 0429625045. Erangy Springs Robert Kitto 0428939165.
aslong as it does the job right and everyone goes home safe to family is all that matters...these days it's the cost of everything u got to manage and if operator sets machine right he can make money on profit side
Hi mate, 23yo future backpacker from munich here. Would love to get a job during the harvest season in WA and am wondering if you could hook me up staring early november. obviously only after sending my cv and having a chat and stuff. Happy to pay a comission if it works out (: cheers!
The technology behind them is so advanced
Very impressive harvest! Those beautiful machines are HUGE!!

Awesome video Ben. Some good detail in their.
Love the red machines.
God bless you all..
Hello! Impressive scenery! Greetings from Portugal.
Great job running the chaser bin Susan
200t an hour? That's hard to imagine Ben. Thanks for putting these images together, and thanks to Erangy farms for allowing you to.
Great that you're having great yields! Greetings from Ireland!

Great video Ben
Many thanks Kevin.
Great video. Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
love work on that farm.

I drove that blue Versatile and Finch chaser bin! They had a big bud then too.
Great to see our Farmers making it big.
Great Video again Ben,Kitto’s must have the most Versatiles on the Planet
Hi I'm driving a header just south of Merredin great yield here too
this is a great vieo such big machines.thanks
EXCELLENT VIDEO! THANKS ❤
Glad you liked it!

Interesting video. Here in Ontario Canada, the harvest can be wet. Tracks here lower the amount of compaction to the damp soil. Quite a team there.
i was thinking our farm is big but this is BIGGER!!! keep up the good work!
Such a neat operation is there not a hand needed to assist with the harvest?
what are the tanks and pumps mounted on the chasers for? Fire control?
In case of fire.
It's great to see the trucks can't keep up, because the crops are so good.
Why do the 4wd tractors have big mud flaps in front of the front tires?
To protect the tyres against Canola stubble Boyd.
They knock down canola stubble and save tire ware
Why are there mudflap things on the front wheels of the tractors hauling the field bins?
Protect the tyres against the Canola stubble Brian.
How far are you trucking grain ? Does crop go directly to market or is it stored at another site ?
Most of the grain is carted to Geraldton 80 to 100ks away and delivered to CBH a co-op run by farmers to store most types of grain.
what are the rubber flaps in front of the front tires of the tractors for?
Protect the tyres from Canola stubble.
What are the flaps on the front of the tractors for
To save the tyres from the Canola stubble.
When you get record rains in a dry area of the world the old fertilizer will be used up and produce record crops
How many hectares of wheat you doing a year. Very impressive operation. Great video.
8400ha wheat, 2800ha Canola, 2800ha Lupins Josh.
Interesting place Aus. The toilets flush backward, the seasons are backward and farmers hang mud flaps in front of tires and not behind. I'd like to visit there one day.
The “mud flaps” are actually to flatten the stalks on the crop to reduce west on the tires.
What are the mud flaps (or whatever they are) in front of the Versatile tires?
To protect the tyres from the Canola stubble.
@@BenCrosthwaite1I've heard about soybean stubble eating up tires.
what are the flaps in front of the tractor tires good for?
Thanks!
And what is the vombine speed and yield? Seems really fast but I am used to German yields
The flaps are to protect the tyres from the Canola stubble. The headers are travelling at 8ks to 10ks.
Another record season in West Aus! And with prices being good, cockies are grinning like Cheshire cats!
What is that liquid tank near the chaser bin? It's water for fire?
Firefighter setup to get to a fire early in the peace
Geraldton number plate in there?
Seeing these yields in aussir and yank fields makes me realise how lucky we are in Ireland, our bad yields makes these look good
So what are your yields Walter 12t?

Tell me where I could get better music Don, and where I could monetise it on TH-cam?😊😊
@@BenCrosthwaite1 How about no music? The sound of the machinery is music enough. Makes ya feel like you are right there. Thanks for your response.
