25:19 One of my favourite little lore things that's been around since d1 is the fact that minotaur teleportation is actually time travel. They travel to a time when they were closer to smacking you in the head with their gun. This one used it like a 5 year old, "no, actually, I was stood over here the whole time, your shot missed me"
There was also some pretty gruesome lore from a few seasons ago where a vex goblin time traveled to be stood in the same place as someone else at the same time, causing the goblin to explode out of their body. Would be really cool to see that in gameplay but it's probably hard to code and it might cost them their teen rating Edit: I can't find the lore tab anywhere on ishtar, I'm certain it exists, though.
No ~~ackshually~~ the force you experience from gravity decreases as you go deeper cuz the stuff above you counteracts the stuff below you, pressure increases though (if said stuff were right on top of you, like a pile of dirt, or a sea).
Fun fact: Agioktis, the Mind you kill in the Saint mission, is Saint's killer, the Martyr Mind. This is an "archived" version of it. We killed its original form in Season of Dawn when saving Saint.
i might be wrong because it's been a while but i think there's currently 3 fallen houses, house light which is lead by mithraks, house salvation which is lead by eramis and house dusk which is an amalgamation of remnants of the old houses, essentially the fallen that didn't wanna join either mithrax or eramis
Yeah, basically all the major houses were dismantled by the end of the Siva Crisis and what was left became House Dusk between that event and the Red War. I believe when we meet Mithrax on Titan he was under the Dusk banner. So it splintered even further between House Salvation and House Light. Just a House with endless troops and no proper leadership hierarchy it seems.
You're technically right. Kings fell and combined with Dusk except for the ones that got turned into scorn in Warlord's Ruin. Devils survived until zero hour where we stopped them from reclaiming SIVA, which led to beyond light where Eramis gained stasis and turned the house into Salvation. Winter had been falling apart since we killed Skolas and only had a few stragglers left in the reef who eventually joined Salvation. Exile joined dusk. Wolves split between Dusk, Salvation, and the Fanatic's scorn (probably not all willingly) Which means that at the moment, we have Dusk, Salvation, and Light. Though there is also Spider's Crime Syndicate, though I'm not sure they count as a house, and since plunder, they're probably just considered a subfamily of Light.
this season really murdered my remaining enjoyment for destiny but its great to see someone love it so much, always nice to see more positivity over constant negativity
@battlebrother178 I'm sorry it had a negative effect on you! There is still a lot of Destiny to come from the looks of recent announcements, so hopefully, something in the future can reignite your enjoyment!
This episode honestly had a really good story, I think it was just DOA because of the timegating and the structure being pretty much identical to every other season (not to mention releasing alongside Final Shape's concise and fun campaign story). I think Saint & Osiris being the focus would not have felt so boring/overplayed had we been able to play through the entire Episode at once, because put together their story is intercut with Failsafe's arc and comedy, learning about what the Echo is, exploring more of Nessus, and the horror of Maya & Chioma's relationship. Fingers crossed for Revenant!
@rymac77 I agree with so much of this! Adding on to that, it doesn't help that the destiny community at large has been so doom and gloom about the game. I think I enjoyed it a lot more than most because I was stuck in FFXIV editing land. So by the time I was ready to record, I was able to do the Acts in their entirety without having it drip fed like everyone else. 😅
While I agree there are some issues with bungie and the games potential future. I liked this episode it had flaws but I liked it. Thanks for helping me remember that.
You should read the Ronin ghost shell lore. It's a hilarious moment from before Saint and Osiris got together. Immediately became one of my favourite lore tabs. XD
Even though most people find this episode....bad Revenant should be better and furthermore you wont have to wait (probably hopefully) either way I was REALLY looking foward to this, if you wanna play with me id be happy to fight along side you!
@@terabellum echoes isn’t a bad season. The activities are overall good (the exotic mission is amazing imo), there are some pretty good weapons and the story/lore is interesting and has some pretty important implications for the future that could lead to great stories. But the story had a lot of problems in the way it was presented. The weekly release damaged it a lot, and the act structure didn’t help at all: the first act seemed meaningless, the second focused too much on Saint and less on the Conductor, solving a (nonexistent really) mystery only at its very end. Act 3 on the other hand is pretty good storywise (with an underwhelming ending but nothing too crazy), but it was completely butchered by the structure, that forced you to run the exotic mission basically 4 times in a row. It’s a really good mission, but it’s just too much lol But regardless, all of this is meaningless because this season came out right in the middle of all the bad news regarding Bungie, the layoffs and stuff like that. Just like season of the Wish last year, it doesn’t really matter how good it really is, the sentiment in the community is just too low, there’s very little the season could have done. Still, I enjoyed it, I think it was fine as the first episode released alongside the ending. It’s a smaller, more personal story, which is ok after a massive one in TFS. But I’m expecting so much more from Revenant (which looks pretty good so far) and especially Heresy.
7:00 about the nature of the echos, you mightve not totally been wrong about them being fragments of the witness, theres a 3 new books hmm i mean lore entries about a race of ppl that got killed by the hive and that... actually let me not say too much, its called dynasty
Eramis was House of Devils, Mithrax was House of Wolves. All the houses dissolved into House of Dusk around the beginning of Destiny 2. They probably don’t even have an official Kell, only relying on Prime Servitors for ether

FINALLY!!! THANK YOU TERRA! I OFFER YOU MY SOUL (p.s, echoes ends on tuesday. P.p.s, love what you did with your hair)
I have missed your Destiny reactions!!! So glad they’re back. Can’t wait to see what you think of the final act!!!
You are now sentenced to 4 runs of the exotic mission
(Mission goes hard af tho)
I've finished Act 3 already - this comment actually killed me. 😂

That makes a weird sort of sense! I think I confused that with temperature increasing as you go deeper. 😅
Gas is also physically on top of you so pressure increases even in a large open cavern

Technically house judgement still exists because of Variks
Was super excited to see this, thanks for the epic content as always!
49:33 Seeing as you've already finished Act 3 (if I'm not mistaken?), can I just say: 😭😭😭

Glad to see you’re still enjoying the stories Destiny has to offer, and can’t wait to see your thoughts on the conclusion of echoes!
Father, we have been starving.
Jokes aside, welcome back and hope you have fun in the coming Destiny seaso- I mean episodes.

I'm probably in the minority but I actually really enjoyed Echoes' story. 💀 VERY excited for the little snippets of revenant that I've seen though!

@@terabellumagreed my only issue is they introduced Maya too late and also too much encore still it definitely isn’t as bad as people say it is
i enjoyed the episode tbh, it was on the above average end of seasons overall, and the story actually gave the vex plot wich i appreciated a lot

Wasn't House Dusk the house that took in Uldren between Taken King & Forsaken?
Kings, not Dusk.
Thanks for clarifying. Admittedly, my memory was quite foggy on that.
Dang shame what happened to asher, would have loved to see his thoughts on the conductor
House dusk WAS eramis house. If i remmeber she left the witness and the witness in turn claimed the house for themself
Eramis was House of Devils, Mithrax was House of Wolves. All the houses dissolved into House of Dusk around the beginning of Destiny 2. They probably don’t even have an official Kell, only relying on Prime Servitors for ether
Yeyyy!
FINNAALLYLYYYYYYYYY LEETTTSOGOOOOGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO terra destiny serie is back nature is healing

Hey if you like D2 you should try Warframe.
