The Exodus Crash Strike is an old year 1 strike. There are some differences here though, such as you starting inside a cave. Usually, this strike would make you start outside. I suppose this is the reprised version of the strike.
Honestly, I’m actually really looking forward to the future of Destiny’s story. People have been saying it won’t be as interesting since nothing will top the Witness’ power and stakes, but we don’t need stakes that high again to make it interesting. We just need to be invested/interested, and there are a lot of neat plot threads to wrap up. Plus, Bungie seems to know this, since the “Final Days” quests both reminded us of several old plot threads and planted the seeds for new ones. All in all, there’s a lot to forward to.
People who say that don't know about The Winnower. other than that, there's still a lot of unresolved plotlines in destiny. Savathun is still alive, who knows what shenanigans she's up to. The eventual return of the Ahamkara from the eggs we got from Season of the Wish. Clovis Bray is still alive.
Its crazy to me that people think the Witness was the most interesting the destiny universe can get. We'll inevitably be going to Riis and Torobatl eventually, both of which have insane potential.
@@johnromero6315 Exactly. I think the next step is the reclamation of Earth. With the help of the allied Eliksni and Cabal, reclaiming the planet would be easier. There are also lore entires from Neomuna where some of the residents are considering lending earth their technology to help in the process. This is also hinted at with one cutscene from Echoes where one of Saint's wishes is to travel the cosmos. That just sounds like the further expansion of the human race.
If it's "friendly" Vex content you want, I highly recommend keeping up with the seasonal (er, episodic) lore book. It contains several Guardian field reports regarding the unusual behavior of the Nessus Vex. My personal favorite is the one where a Vex is waving its hands enthusiastically at a Guardian. They wave back, exciting the openly friendly combatant, only for another Guardian to pull up on their Sparrow and blow the Vex to smithereens.
A bit of dialogue from Echoes describes the Vex perfectly "The Vex change the universe to suit them. Not the other way around" They're adaptive and strategic, but they don't "change"
@conchurfitzsimons570 That's the most fascinating part about The Conductor to me. They have full control over the vex and are forcing them to change to suit their own needs.
42:13 The Vex are already organic, it’s that white fluid in their robotic bodies. The images you were seeing while picking up samples is their most basic cellular form.
As a Destiny veteran, I’m shocked that it took nine expansions and twenty three seasons for Failsafe to finally be featured in the story proper again. The passive-aggressive jabs at the guardian and the vanguard are well deserved.
"Why did they take fishing away!?" EXACTLY!!! That was the ONE thing I loved the most from Season of the Deep, why couldn't we just have that still and deposit the fish somewhere in the City?!
I have my strong theories, but we’ll all have to wait to see what comes next. Either way, assuming that the thing in the echoes art is “The Conductor”, I am absolutely in love with its design
The Lore books for this season and the seasonal weapon/armor lore is also great. It elaborates on the 'emergent' behavior with the Vex and more interactions with Failsafe. They're great.
so far we know that the "echos" that came from the traveler were made from the light of the traveler mixing with all the darkness that was holding the witness together
The strike is in fact the same Exodus Crash, but updated and refreshed a little. Just like Lake of Shadows, it was a totally different strike then compared to now
tbh im just happy that in the comments and specially you, are spreading some positivity. Ik destiny has/had a lot of problems/bad decisions. But this negativity just destroys the fun I still have overall witht this game
The Conductor is what Chioma called herself when doing her research on the veil. I think she succeded and mind melded with the veil but became trapped into the precursor meld. Once the witness was destroyed she was set free. Also Remember they always said that in the vex network there are 227 copies of her and Maya.

Terra, I don't want to be that guy, but Asher is gone, really gone. I’ve got a theory as to what’s going on and I think a lot of the lore community is on at least a similar wavelength. I’ll share my thoughts below the ‘read more’ tag so anybody who doesn’t want to engage doesn’t have to. So I have a few ideas. The Precursor Vex don’t have collars like the compelled ones do; they’re also referred to as choral vex. It matches the music convention with the conductor and cleft. But this whole conductor thing sounds eerily similar to what Maya Sundaresh was doing in her experiments with the Veil. Maybe her consciousness somehow survived and moved on. Or maybe this is one of the hundred copies of her that was released into the Vex network. The lore entries I’ve read that *seem* to come from this mysterious conductor’s perspective don’t make a lot of sense yet, but they read as if written by a human, maybe even one who was around in the Golden Age. That matches up with the data the Vex are storing in the network not to mention the figure on the episode keyart. The outstretched hand looks very human. What I don’t understand yet is all of the new plantlife and matter popping up with the new transformations Nessus is undergoing. I’m not sure where or what it’s being pulled from, but I don’t recognize it from anywhere. I know there’s other stuff in Enigma Protocol too, like speculation of Quria’s return, but I haven’t delved too deep into all of that yet. And of course, what exactly the anomaly is and what it can do has yet to be revealed as well. We’ll have to see where things go from here.
