    Great review. I have this exact scope with the BDC3 reticule on my blaser R8 for hunting. I just changed it for a Khales 1.5-6x42 as I understood that I have never took a shot at less than 1.5.
    Now, my Moepta will goo on my DDM4 V7. 16.5”. And your review just confirmed my opinion that this scope I highly underestimated. I absolutely love it. In December 2023, I still think that this scope is highly underrated.

    I found the adjustable diopter on that R2 gave me a more crisp view of the target and the dot than on the T2. Good review.

    Good info on choosing a second focal plane scope. People are clambering for FFP low power scopes without knowing why haha

    The beauty of the BDC-3 reticle on this scope is that the reticle is set to be accurate at 5X power for 0.223 calibre ammunition. If the BDC reticle does not quite match the ballistics or rifle/ammunition ballistics combination that you are using, then this can be accommodated by varying the set magnification. You can also use variable magnification to range beyond 300 m.

    Thank you for this great video, you did a nice job.
    I don't care about the red dot being daylight bright, I want a scope for its ability to give me a good aim without electronics.
    CR2032 can be found in computer's motherboards.

    I have the K-dot version. Awesome scope for quick target acquisition! Like the review says it’s not as good a a Swaro but it’s damn near close and for less than half the price.

    I run two Meopta Meostar R2 optics on my hunting rifles. Glas quality and ruggedness are fantastic. The only downside is the red dot which is not the best on the market.
    That being said, considering the price I'd always go for the Meostar R2 models.

    Nice video. I do believe that the CR2032 will fit that scope as well as it fits my R1r 3-12x56. It just won't last as long.
    Take care!

      Yes I think this takes either battery with use of an insert.

      If I’m not mistaking, you can use 2 cr2032 in tope on and it will work as well. I’ll test.

    I love my Meopta 1-4 ZD and real interested in seeing if this 1-6 is next level. "Better than the Vortex Razor" Would love to see 1x comparison view. Also how smooth is the power lever?

    • @MrDbtn
      @MrDbtn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The eye box and eye relief may not be as flexible as the Razor but unlike the Razor, the Meopta does not have the fish bowl effect at the far end of it's eye relief. The power/zoom ring is very smooth on the Meopta. The Vortex is well know for it's stiffness.

      @@MrDbtn Thank you- I originally caught this clip on Rokslide. I like your reviews and no shill factor. Keep it up!

    Have you looked at the Optika6 1-6 yet? Trying to find some info on that one.

    • @NoName-ze8ze

      From what I gathered by asking owners directly, The Optika6 line is not daylight bright like a red dot if that matters.

    Seriously considering the R2 1-6 over the Razor (prompted by this review, mixed with my very positive experience with my ZD 1-4). Would the power ring require a cat tail or is the fin fine for quick throw?

    • @MrDbtn
      @MrDbtn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Meopta power ring is very smooth and does not require a cat tail. I run a cat tail on all my other scopes. Not always out of necessity but more for a level of consistency. If the Meopta was my primary scope I would put one on it also for consistency sake. The Meopta is on a training/demo gun and I don't have any issues without one. Very smooth ring.
