Chordfinger: "You will receive instructions from my assistant, Mr. Bond. His name is Secondary Dominant." Assistant whips off bowler hat, flings it, slices grand piano neatly in half. Bond: "The musical director will disapprove of that, Chordfinger." Chordfinger: "I >am< the musical director, Mr. Bond."
Thank you for making a video that explains this slowly and simply in a way I can finally understand. It seems so simple to hear you explain it, makes me wonder why I thought it was complicated!
Ah sorry to hear about your subscription ending. Its got quite expensive on Skillshare hasn’t it. If you wanted to carry on with the course there is a subscription option over on my website, which gives you access to all my courses for only £6 per month. (I should probably put that up 😆). Glad you liked the video!
Glad you liked it. And I designed the poster myself. If you’re interested you can buy them on my website (if UK based) or over on Amazon and Etsy. www.birdspianoacademy.com/collections/all
Yes apologies I meant to say the chord progression starts in C major. It's just a simple 3 step progression to demonstrate how you can use secondary dominants as passing chords.
Thank you so very much. I nerver really understood these passing chords.
So clear now. We need you !!! 😊
Thanks for your support Claire I appreciate it 🙂

You're very welcome Chris. So pleased I made it simple to understand.
Amazing!!! This is what i was looking for finally!! Tysm!! Please make more vids keep it up!!
Glad you like it, and I certainly will!
Thank you for the video. I did not know this information before. I always wondered how pro pianist add chords that are not in the lead sheet.
You're very welcome!
Yeaah. Its great and I won’t tell anyone… this is deep!
Great instruction! Very clear and so usefull 💫
Ha 😆
Thanks Henk!
Ha 😆
Thanks Henk!
Thank you very much, I understand it now 😊
You're welcome 🙂
Holy shit. I play bass but alot of where i learned chords were the piano. You just helped me add some flare to my bass playing. Ty
Haha I remember having a similar reaction when I first learnt this as well!
I had it all wrong. I thought the V was After the I, not Before the next chord, whatever it may be. Wow, thank you so much for making this video! 😊
Yes it can feel strange going ahead to the next chord, figuring out the V then putting it beforehand. I’m glad it helped you 🙂
Thanks. Music theory is great for unlocking...music.
It certainly…. is! 😁
your videos are fantastic!! 👍
Thank you that means a lot!

So that's that sound! cool. thanks for the clear explanation (and fun video). Where did you get the piano chord poster on the wall?
Glad you liked it. And I designed the poster myself. If you’re interested you can buy them on my website (if UK based) or over on Amazon and Etsy. www.birdspianoacademy.com/collections/all
Awesome ❤
🙌
The D major chord is not in the key of C major? It is secondary dominant to G major?
Yes apologies I meant to say the chord progression starts in C major. It's just a simple 3 step progression to demonstrate how you can use secondary dominants as passing chords.
Bro😭❤
Finally found the solution
🙌🏻🎹
Wait till you hear about Post-Secondary Dominants
And Collegiate Dominants
🙌🏻🎹
I think that dominant 🤔 not secondary dominant
Which one? The whole video explains what secondary dominants are.
@ntukzinie8784 -- In the key of "C" they are secondary dominants.
