Thank you so much for your extended explanations of the Buddhist world systems.
It is a great help for me, as I’m doing the mandala offerings/Ngöndro right now.
Is there a possibility for a donation?
Best wishes from Germany 🇩🇪 😊.

When do you give these live talks? Is it every Thursday at 6pm eastern time? I'd love to watch your talks live.

1:02:24 this sounds fascinatingly similar to the methodology employed by eternalists described in the Brahma-Gala Sutta, a sort of recollective mental “rapture” (which is how the PTS translated whichever Pali term was used), which leads to the human person making the judgement that their births regress ad-Infinitum due to the inability to establish a “first cause” which ultimately explains this chain of births; this is only my reading, but often when heretical views are described in doctrine, the fallacies seem to be implied, and arriving at them seems to require a fair bit of discernment: the fallacy here of course being, that the fact that we can recall many births and fail to produce a first cause or essential origination does not necessitate eternality of the Soul, such that this ends up looking like an argument from ignorance. I’m currently commenting this on my phone, but when I get on my computer I will edit this comment and provide particular citations. As to why the Buddha wouldn’t have enumerated the tens of disagreements explicitly might be due to the dialogic rules also described in the beginning of the Sutta, where the activities which Sakyamuni would abstain from are listed. In conclusion, I’m not accusing the commentator who prescribed this method of being a heretic, and this sounds like a good method under the correct pretences, but I see this connection.

I can’t say for certain but I’d make a guesstimate that they probably don’t sleep since sleep is a physical need from being of the earth 🌎
