Still doing a great job in your tour the scenery is great the plants are weird and beautiful it is great to see your videos just before bed, great dreams Ja Yoe.
I suggested it in the live stream and I'll make mention it here too since you have Adobe. Look into a dolly zoom shot for a drone shot; it's master level filmography and is relatively easy to do with Adobe. It's just an editing trick on a piece of drone footage. Awesome video Matt. I am still hooked as a passenger on your adventure.
Again a lot of nice video shots via the drone...! And what I like the most, and as I was saying the other day, Is people around the world are so much nicer to Americans when we come to visit their home land.. And a perfect example is the kid on the bike giving you the the coke and the woman wanting to take your picture, and the many others that have treated, spoken, or interacted with you so kindly...! I on the other hand wave to everyone going by tooting their horn at me stopping to ask me about my ride, and then their are those dam Northerners who go by you flipping you the bird or having to dodge some collage kids on vacation and launching beer bottles at you because it is funny to them... I would give anything almost to go back to the Greek Islands where I had found a small village and was treated so kindly by the people who live there... They are a proud people who do these things for visitors to their country...! Ja Yoe... My friend you hit a home run with this video , one more look at the people of other countries who are very proud...!
+Zachary Mohrmann cool Zach.... yea I love how awesome people are as I travel. I really hope you are proven wrong when I get to USA but fear your spot on.... :(
Hey man. I live in northern Aomori but I'm headed to Hokkaido in a few weeks to ride around the whole island on my motorcycle. I'll be camping every night but I think I will check out that hostel you stayed at. Any recommendations for me? Email is beretta_ata@hotmail.com. Thanks!
You all prolly dont give a shit but does someone know a trick to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost my account password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me.
I liked the video! what an adventure greetings from Shenzhen China :) LOVE JAPAN and the scenery { am gonna make this place ur home } what a nice thing ! LOVE THIS VIDEO AND VIBE ......
I'm going to have to make Tonkatsu sandwiches now, they look amazing! With the traditional sauce drizzled on the steak, a fruit salad on the side and a bowl of miso soup with tofu balls, nomnomnomnom!
9:32 What's your name? - おみやげ. (omiyage, present) - Omiyage? - (kid gives a soda) - Oh thank you sir. - がんばってください(ganbatte gudasai, Cheer up! or JaYoe!) How lovely is this little conversation. (Why didn't you give him some sour candies in your back pack? haha)
hey Matt. you mentioned you'll visit some island(?) after you get back from the States. reading you're going there on the 11th of July, does that mean you will spend nearly 2 more weeks in Hokkaido?
zselic He's travelled the full length of Japan, going all the way down through the country back to the port he originally came to Japan through. You should look in the video description box above, it has a link to his website which has a huge map of the world and all the routes he's taken, as well as the ones he's intending to take in the future. Once he goes back home to Ningbo from Japan, he is going to visit family with Anny and Eva in America a most of his family haven't met Eva yet. Hope that helps!
So after looking into it overnight I think those caterpillars are some variety of Gypsy Moths, but if you see more of them take closer clear footage and I can check! Also those plants are Giant Hogweed, nasty things. We have a big problem with them growing wild here in the UK, they were introduced as an ornamental plant but they take over the place. PS Also both the caterpillar and the plant can burn you, don't touch them or you'll get a dreadful painful rash.
UltraReef's Channel He's staying in America visiting family with Anny and Eva, most of Matt's family haven't met Eva yet. I'm sure he'll make some videos but I don't know if he'll be travelling on the trike, getting the trike and all of his gear gets super expensive from Ningbo!
Hi Matt, Got a quick fix for your WIND NOISE ISSUE! Get some stick back velcro dot (should have it at any stationary store, Use a Hole Punch and place the hole where you want the microphone to be. Then peel and stick. The Velcro acts at a wind noise dampener almost as well as dead cat systems. This should also cost you less than a dollar to do. keep on riding! and JAYOE!
I wonder how Annie is in regards to eating junk. Sui is tough on me. I envy you travelling alone and being able to make food choices without supervision. :) No wonder it takes you so long , the camera work obviously is time consuming, but makes for enjoyable viewing.
Hey Matt, i have been following you for about a year and wish you all the best. i am in New York and i know it will be awhile before you get this far east but if you need anything and i can help let me know. also i have not received any notifications since the 26 a couple days ago. I hope everything is OK.
When and where will you be in America ? are you going to cycle from west coast to east coast ? Can't wait to see you in America , Great Vlog by the way , keep cycling :)
Alex Antonio I know he's certainly visiting family, most of his relatives, including his folks, haven't met Eva yet and they haven't been back to visit family in the US in quite a long time. I dunno if he'll be taking the trike, I got the impression that it's more of a family holiday.
did you leave your coke cola on the counter when you bought your food and he was sent by the story to catch you, or was he just being nice and giving you a coke cola.
looks like a exploited island that is the size of neighboring island to the jeju where one of my friend have rented a house for the people coming for fishing..
For a kid to give away his bottle of coke man, to a stranger!?.. thats a big deal ! you are very lucky lol That is actually a very Japanese thing to do
+lee mosen it was really nice. And the amazing thing is that it was not the first time that has happened. In Korea a number of times complete strangers would see me pass then I would find them up the road minutes later with a drink in hand. They would pass it to me as I rode by. Give me the thumbs up.l and a big smile. It's An awesome world we live in.
From China with LOVE :*! Okay, I was studying in Madrid for 2 years. I think many Spanish guys are quite nice, good-temper and good-looking... Just being curious, I wonder you like South European guys or the Northern European guys more?
I hope you can get adequate amount of veggie and fruit on your journey.. green leaf veggies may be too difficult to prepare on a trip, but definitely eat some raw cucumber and green pepper and carrot and apple, etc. If your body is deprived of those things for too long, you age and your brain slows down and you get moody.
I wouldn't worry about that as generally Japanese food is very well balanced.. especially the prepared dinner like he had in bike "hotels". Better than going out to eat something specific...
i was talking about the food he got at the supermarket (2:02).. also I don't think Japanese people eat that much veggie, as veggies and fruits are quite expensive in Japan.. Japanese people stay healthy by eating little, thus low carb.. as carb accelerates aging, and caloric restriction (especially the calories from carb) slows down aging..
btw, one of the reasons why white people look younger than asian pre-teen but older than asian post-teen, is because people in the west eat way much carb in their diet. replace some carb with oil/protein based food, and better with veggies and fruits is good for your body.
Settle down, it'll all clear.... Don't pay no mind to the demons they fill you with fear....the troubles it might drag you down...if you get lost you can always be found..just know you're not alone...cause I'm going make this place your home.
Always making my day by showing ocean and coasts.
That sweet boy,bless him..
Still doing a great job in your tour the scenery is great the plants are weird and beautiful it is great to see your videos just before bed, great dreams Ja Yoe.

Thank you for correction. I need more practice to improve my Japanese skill.
Dr Aaron I don't get your point at all.
Dr Aaron BTW why do you use that nickname? I heard that word from 李连杰's movie. Maybe 精武英雄?
I thought you might be a Anti Chinese guy or someone like that. That is first impression of your nick name.
He was the winner of one of the last American Idol shows. I'll see if I can send it along! Who knows. :-) JaYo!

UltraReef's Channel He's staying in America visiting family with Anny and Eva, most of Matt's family haven't met Eva yet. I'm sure he'll make some videos but I don't know if he'll be travelling on the trike, getting the trike and all of his gear gets super expensive from Ningbo!

....am beginning to like these biker hotels. Cheap and the food looks amazing for the money!
How's the knees holding up ?
I wonder how Annie is in regards to eating junk. Sui is tough on me.
I envy you travelling alone and being able to make food choices without supervision. :)
No wonder it takes you so long , the camera work obviously is time consuming, but makes for enjoyable viewing.
Did you have to slump to fit into the biker hotel?
haha yea they were a little short.... especially the staircases... kept hitting my head.
Furry caterpillars might make a good temp dead cat for the mic hahaha
+Mathew Hoover haha. Good idea!
On ya Matt :"-)

JA YOE!!!
Matt You should get some JaYoe Swag to give out to nice people (coke kid), you know stickers, hats, gloves, magnets etc... That would be cool IMO.
did you leave your coke cola on the counter when you bought your food and he was sent by the story to catch you, or was he just being nice and giving you a coke cola.
+paula Havens he just gave me his coke!;)
So did you ever drink that coke that kid gave you? It kind of reminded me of a Coca-Cola commercial.
👍
that is P.E. on the baseball glove. Physical Education. 体育. Probably from the PE department of a local high school
Japanese are so nice!
That guy on the bike who gave you a Coke, in the hiking world, they call that Trail Magic. I'm not sure what you would call it when riding a trike.
i love trail magic...
you need a individual sound recorder with windshield~~
or wind muff~~
Sign at 10:10 warning about watching out for Chinese tourists I assume.
+1 on the pork (tonkatsu - deep fried pork) sandwich.
Wissam Youssef I know! It looks so good, I need to make it here at home!
It's not a name on the baseball gloves, it said "sport" in Chinese.
looks like a exploited island that is the size of neighboring island to the jeju where one of my friend have rented a house for the people coming for fishing..
solidarity kingbee Exploited island?
do you like riding at night Matt
that not a name, it just means 'sports' :D
5:50 that's not a name ,it says "Physical Education" -- 体育 。
For a kid to give away his bottle of coke man, to a stranger!?.. thats a big deal ! you are very lucky lol That is actually a very Japanese thing to do

The 2 words on the baseball glove just says P.E. or sports so not a name... guess may be belonging to some kind of sport department of a school....
You are right. 体育= physical education (PE)
+dkdh hahahaha. Cool. That makes sense. Some kid threw it off the bus!
Better than casey neistat lol

1 2 No, the Japanese diet is full of fruit and veg, you need to go look at the evening meals Matt has shared with us on video.
How many dead cats will it take to get your around the world?
体育 is what is written on that glove, not a name, every Chinese can tell you that, just saying, ;-)
Settle down, it'll all clear.... Don't pay no mind to the demons they fill you with fear....the troubles it might drag you down...if you get lost you can always be found..just know you're not alone...cause I'm going make this place your home.
