    I have been following the teachings of Eckhart Tolle since 2013 after going through a shocking and painful divorce at 27 years-old, which shook "my world" and reality as I knew it. All of a sudden, I was alone in the US, without family and friends - I had very little emotional support and had to learn how to rebuild "my life" on my own. The loneliness and disorientation I felt were intense, Eckhart Tolle's teachings was all I had, so I leaned into it heavily, listening to it every day in my solitude and finding comfort in his voice and in the truth I sensed in his teachings. 9 years later, after a difficult journey of uncovering a lot of unconsciousness (the divorce was just the beginning) my life has transformed - I remarried a wonderful man who is kind, loving, patient and we practice spirituality and work on our unconsciousness together, I have started my dream and vision of becoming a spiritual wellbeing coach with a focus on Eckhart's teachings, and my dream of moving to Portugal is finally coming true. I don't want to focus on the "outer layer" only and don't want to give the impression that life is now perfect, we all know this is not the nature of reality. There is still unconsciousness, but more often than not I am aware of it shortly after, so I'm able to let go and not create suffering. I continue to practice presence since I know anything I experience in the world of form is temporary and will eventually dissolve - I want to be cautious not to develop strong attachments to the world of form after manifesting the life that I always wanted. I felt the truth in my bones in everything that Eckhart teaches, but to have put it to the test (how he says it himself), and to now experience and see the truth for myself has been transformational - it has deepened my presence and trust in it, and it is incredibly liberating to feel connected to source throughout normal daily life. Thank you, Eckhart.. I am infinitely and forever grateful for your teachings

      Thank you, I enjoyed your comment.
      I too found myself very alone here, with a similar story and I listen to Eckharts understandings and spiritual wisdom. I listen to others with similar views too.
      In a diverse world it is good to develop my own views and not to just follow a crowd and buy into everything i see and hear. Aloneness is a gift.
      Aloneness helps us to deeply discover who we are, our thoughts thinking, habits, interests, skills, knowledge, courage. Loneliness/grieving is normal, we genuinely miss others and things yet it is an open door where we can take what we've learned and who we have become to use it positively.
      At first we feel stuck until you get your shoes on to walk a new path.
      Yes it's scary. We might procrastinate at first.
      You are a good example of what you can find in a new life. I send good vibrations to you and your future.

    I'm glad to see that I already experienced the main change in my thoughts from negative to appreciative. Sometimes in the moments of hight stress I still react negatively, but literally two minutes after the first reaction comes this learned appreciation and I accept both what happened and my reaction by fully embracing it in my attention. I didn;t think that paying attention if an act of gratitude but it is so obvious now!

    Oh wow. Eckhart was definitely meant to be someone I found in life. I suffered from severe anxiety and mainly ocd Andy life has changed so much already. I don’t feel like I have to end my life anymore over misunderstanding and dooming myself with what ifs and things that weren’t even as bad as they had to be. I today heard a part of the video about gratitude and so I was obsessively thanking the universe and I swear I heard in my head that I should just be present and the thank you will come naturally but I wasn’t listening . I finished the video and Eckhart just said exactly what I heard. It felt like him reminding me . I know I was meant to find him and learn this. Thank you for your story and. Hi Uma, i feel for you because its not easy being around people who's thoughts are running and ruining their own lives and also inflicting unhappiness on those around them. I think its alway worth trying to remember the conspiracy theorists are the conditioned victims of their conditioners, much like those who are conditioned by some religious groups to only believe what they have been told to believe. When i talk to either conspiracy or religious victims of conditioning i always ask them in a non confrontational way " is this a thought or a fact?". Sometimes this gentle questioning can lead to the poor victim conceding what they have been told to believe is actually just someone elses belief and not actually a fact and can push the door of reason very marginally open for them and eventually lead to them regaining the ability to think critically and logically once again. Best wishes to you both 🙏🙏🙏🙏

      @elisabethcrokaerts1980 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Please don't use the word conspiracy theorist for someone with other ideas, it's very judgemental. I agree with eckhart that we shouldn't lose ourselves in any ideology (also not the governmental views or propaganda!) but we should liaten to each other if we really want to know the truth instead of following blindly what others say rather than judging someone just because he has other views! There are very reasonable people who believe you cannot not trust the government and who can neatly edplain why, we shouldn't be arrogant and start prosecuting dissidents, we should be vigualant towars those in power, it's our job as citizens. Everyone needs to do their own investigation but people just choose the easy road. Devide and co nquer tactiques never went away. But when people have bacis comfort they believe anything, that's how easy it is to buy people! Another thing which is complete nonsense is the idea that all those who distrust the governmental vaccination campaign all think the earth is flat (which doesn't make sense, there is no foundation for this theory) but just look hiw easy it was to exclude dissenters, shame on thise who were happy to discriminate their neighbours, their families friends etc just based on the fact that they had other ideas. That's what Eckhart Tolle meant with total madness and it should never happen again!!

      @elisabethcrokaerts1980 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@johngreen4683 the problem with people is that they think they are right onstead of listening to others and try to learn something. Luckily for us thoughts are just thoughts and absolutely none of them need to be thought about. It took me an awful long time to be able practice not worry about my thoughts but simply chose to think about what i wished to think about. I still get loads of unwanted repetitive thoughts but the difference is i hardly ever choose to think about the ones i don't enjoy, (unless I'm really tired, when i can momentarily slip back into old bad thinking habits again) 🙏🙏🙏🙏

While I agree something like Hitler’s Germany could be likened to a mad/mass mental obsession akin to a mass physical illness, it didn’t just go away, or run it’s course. It was crushed at great cost of life, because it had to be, or would have continued to spread.

    So called positive thoughts such as:
    Im good at my job
    Im very spiritual
    Im more intelligent than most
    ... are not necessarily positive. They can be ego, identification with forms.

    • @tzdtuc-pd9yv
      @tzdtuc-pd9yv 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are actually more egoistic thoughts than positive thoughts. There are gratification and consciousness in positive thoughts but in your examples there are pretty unconscious. So just don't mix them.

      Positive or negative, they are still just thoughts. Obviously nice thoughts are much more enjoyable than anxious thoughts but in reality thoughts don't equal facts 🙏🙏🙏🙏

    The nicest thing about Eckhart is that not only he is beautifully slow, but he actually looks like a turtle haha...please don't take this comment as an offense...I love Eckhart...is just that, to me, he really resembles a turtle and I find that amusing...he makes me think about a character of The Neverending Story novel called Morla, the ancient one...it is kind of a sad and grumpy character, in wich I think it differs quite a lot from Eckhart, but is also considered to be the wisest being in the world of Fantasia...and that kind of connects to this guy...and the name Morla (just the name, not the character), in turn, reminds me of the Moiras, the mithological sisters responsible for the fate of gods and men

      I think all people resemble some type of animal if you study their features long enough! Btw, have you ever looked straight into a turtles little face? They are absolutely adorable!😊❤️

      Yes! He is like a turtle! A magical one that dives deep, deep into the magical realms, and moves so slowly because he is totally identified with the present moment.

    Automatic Negative Thoughts=ANT create more ants that create colonies. Dr. Amens talked of this. The importance of controlling thoughts to go the positive route is more healthy. The body prefers this. Thank you for your words.

      Go somewhere when you feel like it, where it’s easy to be at peace, like a forest or sitting in your car. Create your own gaps and forgive yourself if it does not work „in real life“. Then see what that calmness might resonate with and take it from there.

      Try to practice breathing deep conscious breaths when the feelings come. Observe how you are feeling and reacting each time it happens.
      Breath deeply again. Agknowlege it.
      Repeat as necessary. It's helped me! Good luck.
      Keep listening to Eckart...
