Hi, I'm Mary, and welcome to The Curly Closet. I create engaging digital content focusing on the care and styling of afro-textured, naturally curly hair, as well as beauty and lifestyle for Black women and women of colour internationally. I provide natural hair styling ideas, natural hair product reviews, comb and brush reviews for natural hair, heat tools and blow dryer reviews for natural hair, travel vlogs, makeup tutorials and more. My hair type is generally type 4 (mainly 4a and 4b) with a little 3c at the crown - but I don’t use hair typing strictly. My hair is medium porosity.

Your hair looks beautiful as always ❤ You did a good job 👍🏽
I appreciate that - thanks so much!
Very nice! I'm glad that you sprayed your hair with water. 💕
Me too, my scalp was feeling it!
You really stressed me out with that first loc😂
😂
I’ve been putting off my retie for a while now. I’m in the first trimester of my pregnancy and ya girl is tired boss but it’s getting pretty bad so I’ll suck it up and do it this weekend finally
My son is 6 months and I haven’t done my hair since I was 9mo pregnant. Don’t go to long because it will mess your hair up!!! Mine are small (250 total) but not microlocs. I’m considering restarting and trying microlocs
@@kyeolukanni-phelps961 lolz I can understand that. I’m determined to do it this weekend started yesterday. I’ve never had locs before, not traditional or free form or sister locs but I love my micro locs. Don’t regret them at all even when the retie gets a little overwhelming when it’s time but once you start it’s fun and I wouldn’t change them. Do your research on micro locs before make a decision that what you will know what you’re getting yourself into.
I totally understand first trimester tiredness. Are you able to get someone to help you? Doing it alone is already hard when not pregnant! It can be overwhelming during pregnancy.
@shellon258 totally agree!
@@Life.Love.Locs. it really is but I did a cute little flat twist style and I’m doing one twist at a time. Hurts my back a little cause I hunch over sometime but it’s been soothing. I talk to my baby boy while I’m doing it 😂😂 we have conversations
Your hair is beautiful
Thanks so much!
Love it
Thank you!
How long do it take to do that?
Detailed video pls
I'll do my best to get this to you as soon as I can!
❤❤❤
Thank you!
