I absolutely agree with you about the $5 dollar bill strategy. Also I like that you spread the resin around the whole inside of the shell it does look nice that way. Thanks again for the inspirational video. I am making some shells this week with my new "mermaid trash".
I can’t wait to try these. I often use makeup brushes from Dollar Tree for my crafts. They’re soft and cheap enough to replace as needed. Oyster season is almost here, so I’ll have plenty of shells to work with 🙂
So pretty! I live in Florida and these would make nice coastal gifts! I have a large 4 arm starfish in my bathroom. I had to have it! Thank you sharing! ❤
Absolutely gorgeous ❤️ Do you have a video where you explain how you make your mermaid trash? Oh, never mind. I searched and found a video where you demonstrated how you make it. Thank you.
These are gorgeous! If you don't use all your Modge Podge bubble mixture can you seal it to use later? I definitely want to try those bubbles but don't want to waste supplies. Glad I have about 150 oyster shells since you keep giving me ideas! You have become my favorite craft channel! I have been decorating oysters to make napkin rings for Christmas gifts. That is another idea of what you can do with them.
I don’t know if anyone else suggested this, but you could give the trinket jars (from your other video) the same treatment. The trinket jar that you did the acrylic paint pour and resin on the lids. Adding the “mermaid trash” would be so pretty! These shells are beautiful!🤩
They are ALL GORGEOUS! I think my favs are the 6 leg starfish and the aqua colored one with the starfish!. Love, Love your videos! Crafty Hugs from Texas.
Great idea, wish I lived near the beach, but I’m going to the beach next weekend so I have some shells to pick up. Look forward to trying something like this.
It’s a mix of crushed shells, sand, crushed glass and pretty things that mermaids love! I find shells on the beach, but you can ask a local seafood restaurant to save them for you!
I saw a whole bucket of oyster shells at the restore the other day and never thought to get them now I wish I had. I wonder if they’re still there lol five bucks apiece I’d be rich no wonder these people I wouldn’t buy that for five dollars not even from my son‼️
Buying shells and sand..possibly selling online I would think one might have to go up on price...10 maybe..would be possible... I've seen decorative shells go for much more...but trying to think of options..
8 ounces (by weight), which is enough to do LOADS of shells, depending on how much you use on each shell! I just made a new batch too! I don’t sell shells, but you can get them at a local seafood restaurant or market!
It’s just as easy to pull a $10 or $20 bill out and it will be an easier life for you if you charge accurately what your materials AND TIME AND SKILL and CREATIVITY is worth . Charge more please !!! People will pay $7 for a speciality cup of coffee. These take longer to make and last longer and the materials for them cost more and your skill is worth it. 💰💰💰💰💰

Go for it!

I agree with you by keeping the prices down. The Mennonites have a saying charge less make more. It has served them well

Yes, I have mine in a salsa jar! I just keep adding to it when I need it. THANK YOU so much for your support.❤️❤️❤️
@@ACoastalMagnolia Cool, then I am definitely trying this. Which mod podge works the best? Glossy or matte or satin?
I think any of them. I used matte, but I bet glossy would work too.
Starfish should be right side up. The feelers on the bottom are used to hold on to sea bottom

ah, thank you! I’m trying to find time to make more!
These pieces are beautiful!! Can you give us the measurements and ingredient list to make the bubble mixture at home? Thank you!
3 parts mod podge and 1 part dish soap!
Can you add paint into the mod podge?

Have fun with it! I’d love to see you do one of your blooms on a large shell.
They are all beautiful. My favorite's are the 5 legged star fish and the one with the blue bead and white turtle ❤
Thank you!

Love the results and the sweet turtles. Did you use unstoppables or Dawn, you said dishwahing soap but had both products in the video

8 ounces (by weight), which is enough to do LOADS of shells, depending on how much you use on each shell! I just made a new batch too! I don’t sell shells, but you can get them at a local seafood restaurant or market!

Placing the starfish upside down.

You placed the starfish on its front legs up.

Yes, it’s a mix of sand, glitter and glass explained in the video.
