He is 76, not nearly 80, still drives as seen at Goodwood last year and lives a very good retired life, ridiculous title, you should be banned from TH-cam.

Rene Arnoux was a great driver, his battle against Gilles Villeneuve in Dijon 1979 was the best wheel to wheel fight ever. Especially in his early years with Renault he often was quicker than Alain Prost, but Prost was the guy who pulls the whole team in a political way at his side. Arnoux was always very quick and 1983 with the Ferrari, he had a car to prove it. Unfortunately he had the same habit like Gerhard Berger: Just jump into the car being quick like hell, but shy of hard work to understand the set up better than his teammate. Nevertheless he was a charismatic guy, admired from many fans all over the world.
That was a good video, but just because of the ridiculous click-bait title, I decided not to subscribe the channel or like the video. Horrible is the title, sad is the channel doing this.
Almost 80?
Such a great driver deserves a less click-bait, less inaccurate title.
Rene was a genuine driver, there to win and screw team orders..his fight with Gilles..LEGENDARY!!
..and this two guys were best friend !

Met him at Goodwood about 12 years ago. Total gentleman stopped for a chat went and did his run in the Renault. Came back and carried on.
Un pilote de caractère, comme les regrettés Villeneuve et Senna et c'est ce qu'il manque aujourd'hui dans le trop policé monde de la F1.
His battles with Gilles, were nothing short of epic and astonishing, and like nothing since.
Hero, maverick, loved him, maybe put the passion ahead of the bigger picture, but full credit, from nothing he lived his life to the max, still does

Gilles and Rene were very close friends , there was absolutely no fight between them after dijon
The sad life of a TH-cam channel that always starts with 'the sad life or the tragic life of...'
So.how.does.he live now? You.never said.
fabuleux pilote,
Love Rene Arnoux!! He would have done great in CART/IndyCar late in his career!!
"This creator is shite when it comes to doing research - how he lives is sad."
Bon pilote au caractère spécial

Arnoux and Ferrari were not world champions in 83 because of the tires. If they had had Michelins instead of Goodyears...
FROM BRAZIL ===
DIJON PRENOIS 1979: ARNOUX x GILLES = THIS IS F-1!!....
What a stupid clip! Arnoux is just 76 and he looks good!
Gille Villeneuve
