    Not enough of this, too much of that, no screen, is war here? What would people like to have for as little as 300 euros? the moon and the stars as a bonus and as a bonus a packet of peanuts? Akai said "for small budgets". The software is not good enough ?, native instrument is better etc etc ... should stop criticizing because the product does not suit you and also stop disgusting others. There is always better but it is much more expensive and also everyone is not pro and just want to have fun and, hence the interest not to spend a fortune on equipment. The video is well presented and the cranky pollute the planet !!! !!!!!!!!! Anyway, there is unfortunately a certain category of people who remain dissatisfied with everything for the duration of their existence and these people, we would like to send them to the devil so that they burn together !

      Thanks for enjoying the video.
      I guess all products aren’t for everyone, that wouldn’t be possible. I stand by everything I said in this video. I see this device as a starting point for people more than a replacement for a bigger mpc.
      I should add that I wasn’t paid by Akai to make this video and that all I said in here are my words, nothing else.
      Sure… Some of the criticisms I’ve heard on the studio makes sense for certain users. And that goes for everything, always…
      A tech product will never becomes completely perfect for everyone and their wallets- that’s just not how it works.
      Thanks for watching

    For once I bump into someone not bashing the product. Like others be saying, the old studio is better and shit like that. I think you nailed the point. Akai was targeting new comers and I think I am sold. the fact that the controller can control 80% of the workflow, it's quite a great piece for the price.

    I sold my MPC Live because it came to me one day while editing breaks on the 7 inch touch screeen, hmmm wtf am I doing editing beats on a 7 inch screen when I have a laptop screen, dohh, Homer Simpson moment kid you not.
    I rember nearly 20 years ago when my Akai s2000 cost me over £1000 for pitiful specs that are now obliterated by a £10 Impc Pro app running on an iPad, so to be fair this controller from Akai along with the software is a serious bit of kit for small money if you already have a laptop.
    I have NI Maschine because the sound library is really bang on the money but I also like the Akai, I’m tempted very tempted, great review thanks x

    Also, that mode button is dope and looks like this interface speeds up going through different MPC software screens.
    I own the MPC One and I love the buttons and, the emphasis on it being standalone without needing a PC as it is a self-contained PC in itself with a touch screen. But this interface looks like it compliments the software better.

  • @joeb.4204
    @joeb.4204 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Yoo idk for sure if this is a good idea, but what if there was a module that attached to the controller that had a screen and ran the mpc software alone, making it a standalone device. I just thought that would be cool. That would also be cool for the maschine mikro as well.

    honestly someone needs to make a midi ribbon strip you can just snap on the side of the live. thats the only thing i like about the mk3 vs the mpc doing bass or just slides in general so easy on the mk3. A LOT of people are completely missing the point when reviewing this product. I own one, and using it in conjunction with my big ass computer monitor is so much more satisfying than working on a 7” screen. I get that people like stand-alone - that’s cool, not knocking that. But at the same time, some people LIKE using their computer with a controller.

    • @AccurateBeats
      @AccurateBeats  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Well… The text is tiny, no doubt. But I’d rather have a tiny display than no display. I wouldn’t call it unusable but since you’re also working with the computer software quite a bit… The display is more of an added bonus than a selling point in my book.

    I think Akai wanted to target people like me. I’m watching videos of the studio 2 and everything I see about it checks my boxes. Being able to use this and the vst within FL Studio, sounds awesome to me! I’m seeing workflow and demo use with FL studio and I’m already coming up with ideas. It may not appeal to everyone but mostly everyone who bashes it already owns some of the more expensive MPCs and I don’t think that’s fair.

    I have a question so I just started searching MPC studio, but anyway, does anyone know of a way to control the decay of each sample when you’re dealing with layers? Any parameter you set to the instruments does not carry over when you add it as a layer. I have a snare and I added another snare to it on Layer 2 and I had decay on that extra snare but now it’s gone so the only way to get rid of the little hiss on the end is to edit the sample. The decay will only apply to Layer 1 (the host layer/pad if you will)…It drives me crazy. Same with editing samples, on my 2000XL I can adjust the tuning while I’m trimming, but not with this software, I have to trim then go tune then go back to trim, etc. I like to mess with the tuning while I’m trimming.

    Is this a good alternative to a keyboard midi controller for someone who mainly uses chord mode and wants to get into sampling more?
    Looks like this is best for playing chords rather than a piano, as many of my keys are turned off or repeated. This will have one pad per chord.
    Plus it seems to have sampling roots that will force me to get into sampling more. Rather than bashing out quickie tracks without samples.

      I haven’t tested that out yet… It has settings to change the midi mapping so….
      I’ll check when I find the time

      It would be silly if they didn’t have it work with their own iOS apps

    how would you compare against the Maschine Mini ?

    @vincentbellamy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello, so before saying what I think of this box I'll start with the (improvements) and for me there is only one pitch bend because on the MPK mini II it's just the horror if I compare with the ARTURIA minilab. After invoiced this thing at 260 euros it is abused me I only see buttons which are in fact shortcuts and I am not even sure that the pads are equipped with after keys.

    Can you connect the MPC studio to the MPC live II (USB) as a co-controller?

    So perfect for a beginner ? This and a small keyboard might be a good start for me

    • @AccurateBeats
      @AccurateBeats  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It might be :)
      There are so many options these days but this MPC Studio and a keyboard could take you real far. Everyone needs to start somewhere and i do think this is a real valid option for a beginner.

    Is it compatible with logic pro x or does it work only on its own software?

    Can any tell me if this box has bluetooth, or it on the software ? Even does it have it. ?

    This might be enough to pull me away from Reason and MPDs/MPKs... although I feel like I would still want an MPK on the side.

    Don’t know if you addressed in the video but does it have a mode for being a raw midi pad controller, like to use with logic drum sets and such?

    • @AccurateBeats
      @AccurateBeats  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t checked that yet but I found some settings to change the midi mapping on the hardware so I’m pretty sure that would work

    What’s better in your opinion? The Maschine mikro Mk 3 or this?

    • @AccurateBeats
      @AccurateBeats  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s not an easy choice. I guess it depends on what workflow you prefer.
      I think both of them are solid options for someone who wants to get started but I honestly can’t pick one over the other…

    1. Why this and not Novation and Ableton. 2. Can I also run this and an Akai midi keyboard at the same time on a USB hub?

    THX 4 this video! One question: does it deliver transport functions for running other DAWs instead the MPC Software? My main DAW is Studio One and I love the AKAI MPC au-plugin function a lot!

      Not sure. Ill check it out

      @@AccurateBeats I wrote to the European AKAI support, too and they told me there are no preset mappings to other DAWs. You have map the MIDI manually. But yes, the MPC Studio is able to run other DAWs if you know how to map MIDI.

    Hur går du vidare och jobbar vidare på en sång i Logic? Jag vill inte vara fast i någon produkt utan alltid ha chans att jobba vidare i Logic när jag vill. Önskar det fanns en kung controller för logic

    • @AccurateBeats

      Sure you can! The software is the same as for
      The bigger MPCs. You can use third party plugins, import you own samples and do anything like that :)

    I currently use the Studio Black.
    This best thing about this thing to me is the free expansions.
    As far a hardware its a complete downgrade and it looks like a MPD or Maschine product.

    Compared to the mpc studio black from before what do u think?

    • @AccurateBeats
      @AccurateBeats  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh, they’re so different products… But even though the old one has a bigger screen and stuff… This one just feels like a cool refresh and a more modern version.
      Considering this is a controller and you’re meant to use the computer screen… Id say that I prefer this one over the studio mkI.
