Amen! Great lesson. My spirit was stirred up. I needed to hear this. After beating stage 1 cervical cancer I know it was God that got me through. I cling to His promises through my 4 months of treatment. Yes the devil tried to discourage me at times but I had to remind him and the doctors that God was in control and faithful to His promises. Just had my 3 month scan on yesterday and all is well. Praise God! He is sovereign and so faithful. We just have to stand no matter what comes our way. Thanks Kim for a great lesson and I’m so thankful for how God is using you. Your teachings are so easy to follow and all are straight from the mouth of God. That’s what I love about your teachings. Powerful! Bless you!

Oh, Tammy, I'm praising the Lord with you that all is well with your latest scan! Glory to God! The fact that it was caught as Stage 1 is a praise as well. I cannot imagine what it's been like for you to walk through this ordeal, yet you remained steadfast in knowing that God is in control and faithful. Praying the Lord's hand be upon you continually. As always, your teaching comes at the time God is stirring up my heart. He already started moving the necessary parts in my life to enable me to start. I was working from home, as a temporary employee, after retiring then “un-retiring”. But the work slowed down, so my services are not needed. Just at the time when my elderly mother’s breast cancer has begun to grow and she will need my help. Going to move her to my home to better care for her. I would covet any prayers for her, and me, as we face this difficult time. Thank you for this study, looking forward to the rest of the series❤️

This was my first time doing a Bible study along with you. I’m in the middle of senior college courses, but I saw this video and had to come back to it. It’s amazing how much there was to learn just from a very short chapter! So I’m looking forward to going through the rest of Ezra. I didn’t know about looking up King Cyrus in the Bible app to see where else he was mentioned. I will start doing that more. That really blew my mind to read what God said about him in Isaiah. It may take some time to do the 5 W’s but you really come out realizing so much. Like I didn’t realize God was the first “who”. Thank you for this Bible Study!

I wanted to comment this here too since it would be awkward not to...
GUYS! Are we just not going to talk about the freewill offering? So I was reading the chapter again because I'm tryna get this W and H stuff down lol.....so far...I have a headache😂. But anyway! I was reading it and in verse 4 it mentioned a free will offering, and I paused because I'm like, "What the heck is that?" Lol, but basically it's what it sounds like. But GET THIS! Whilst I was googling (yeah I said google. Naw, I didn't use my Bible index right away. Fight me.😂), it referenced Ex. 35:10-29, and in the words of one of my fave pastors, "watch the text." Look what it says in verse 21. It says, "Everyone who's heart was *_STIRRED_* and everyone whose spirit moved him, came and brought the Lord's contribution..." And again in verse 22, "Then all whose hearts moved them, both men and women..." 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 Am I the only one who didn't know this, bc I'm over here excited (what 24 y/o you know gets excited about connecting the dots in Scripture? A dork😂.). But seriously, I think in Exodus 35, the Israelites are getting instructions to build the tabernacle the first time? Idk, but it's interesting that in Ezra it's basically the same for the same purpose. But get this too though, the Exodus passages mention a *_willing_* heart. Free. Will. Yeah we know it's self explanatory, but God wants it because _we_ want to give it to Him. Not because He's making us do it lol. I thought that was sweet. Again, I'm a dork, but hey, I'm y'alls sister dork so, deal with itttttt. 😂 That's it! Love ya bye! 💚✌🏾

Thank you for a great lesson. I am studying from the NIV translation and it uses “moved the heart” instead of stir the Spirit. I can recall feelings of both and I am grateful God does not give up on us 💙

I'm not a part of a sisterhood and dont believe a woman would preach but until I read the Bible myself Jesus used the woman at the Well who w.as a sinner and could blab but who believe that a Christ was coming to teach them and used her as an Evangelist to preach and bare witness to her people so they can believe which came to hear him speak for himself
That stirring is NOT fun😂 at least for me because He be having me do outrageous stuff. And I gotta look up at Him and tell Him I don't wanna do that.....🤣🤣🤣 And then He gotta look at me and be like "But what I say?" 🙄
True true....not always fun. But I LOVE the stirring because it lets me know that the Lord is working and steering and moving and all the things! Lol

You can use it for each verse or a set of verses or an entire chapter or even an entire book.

Did Ezra and Daniel live in the same time period? Considering Daniel was part of the exiles and was taken to Babylon, could they have lived in the same times period?
Absolutely! Daniel was in one of the first groups to be exiled to Babylon so his book takes place earlier in time (especially the first part of Daniel). But yes, give or take, we're talking about the same time period.

What is the Bible study method? From what I've watched I get....who, what, when, where, why, and how and then writing out key words?
It's the inductive Bible study method. The key words are words (or phrases) that may be repeated to emphasize the author's point. My Bible instructions say, "They may be repeated throughout a chapter, segment of a book, or the book as a whole." It also says when removed, it leaves the passage devoid of meaning. You can write out key words on an index card or sticky note, so while you're studying, you don't forget to mark them in whatever way you choose.
The method of observing scripture can help you here. And looking for cross references to help you understand what you are reading
Kim cash tate also told us the historical back ground of Ezra and how Ezra connects to the general story line of the Bible.
