TA Travel Center (Columbia NJ), 4K arcade walkthrough & tour, April 2024

- Okay, this is barely a walkthrough, I'll be the first to admit it. This is filed under "it could have been a short probably". That being said. This has been sitting in the queue for uploads for nearly 3 months at this point, and it's about time to get this out there, because I honestly don't know what the current status of it is. I bring it up because I recently made a stop at another TA Travel Center (the one located in Bloomsbury, off Interstate 78), and they had completely removed all the games from their game room. So take it at face value. These games may still be here at the Columbia location. They may not. If I end up out that way again, I'll stop in and post an update to this video, but for now, enjoy this brief walkthrough of this truck stop's meager arcade game selection.

I love truck stop arcades. Nothing like travelling and being in the middle of nowhere and finding a little arcade with a few classics.
I swear on almost every video, there is at least one Ms. Pac-Man and Galaga machine! How is this possible?
It warms my heart to know that arcades still exist in Truck stops. I miss the days of when arcades were everywhere like in Laundromats and grocery stores.
Few and far between these days, but I'm always trying to keep my eyes open for arcade and pinball games in random spots! Have you seen the video for Mom's Organic Market yet? That one really surprised me!
I was kinda sad to see your entry of the Bloomsbury TA location showing all the arcade games (not just the pinball machines) were removed. Was it due to them refurbishing the game room like they did the restrooms there where it might reopen soon and the games go back, or did they change that room into something else? (Like the Petro Stopping Center truck stop in Bordentown, where the game room that used to have a Kiss pinball machine got closed down and transformed into their new movie theater, while the old movie theater was transformed into a Chrome Shop). Weird part though, it's been 7 days and the entry is still up on Pinball Map showing 0 machines; usually they're faster than that to remove a location after all pinball machines have been removed from the database. Bloomsbury TA used to be my go-to location for pinball machines to and from my trip to Allentown for pinfest or other gaming reasons (like the sadly closed PennSkate in Allentown).
Honestly not sure what's going to happen there. I'll be back out that way on Wednesday so I can stop in and check again, but I'm not holding out high hopes.
Speaking of PBM, judging by your updates, we must have just missed each other at 8 On The Break and Silverball over the past week!
@@S1ckH4ndsRBN Yeah, I have been doing some late visits due to my wife and stepkids wanting to do things during the day. My wife goes with me to pinball when her ex-husband has the kids, but she stays with them at the house (they aren't into arcades as much as I am; I only got them to go to Silverball once in the last 4 years!) when they are unwilling to have the same fun I enjoy. Hopefully I will get a full day visit either with or without my wife and see you at someplace I visit.
I was so close on White Water to get the wizard mode at 8 on the Break! But of course I drained before I completed all the objectives.
When are going to a tour on playcade arcade in Atlantic City New jersey
I was there on July 4th! My wife, along with my stepson and one stepdaughter watched (other one stayed with her grandparents nearby, she doesn't like walking boardwalks) the fireworks, while I was safely away from the loud noises playing pinball! :)
