- The Barcade chain is celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, and here's a look at the place where it all began. This small location on Union Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in New York City was the genesis (no pun intended) of a chain that's spread across the nation, including spots on both coasts and in the Midwest. Unlike the other Barcades in the chain, they didn't build out a kitchen over here, so it's literally just a bar and a few dozen games. Over the years, they've switched out pool tables for pinball tables, and they've made the most of the limited space they have, but it's still a great spot to grab a pint and spend some tokens with your friends.
