Disneyland’s Fantasyland still has it over Walt Disney World’s Fantasyland. I love them both but DL just has the magic. A major part of it is the building’s façades.

Go to Knott's. It's cheaper and less crowded. It's almost impossible to find a day at Disney with no crowds.
So hordes of people go there purposely to be miserable? Knotts is a poor man's Disneyland or it'd be packed too. Logic 101.
