I've had my Ranger Raptor for a little over a week. Drove it home to MS from NC to visit family so it's got just over 2K miles. It's just what I wanted. I really don't like the size of the full size trucks, but I wanted performance with plenty of off road capability. So for the size, the capability, the performance, and still have the ability to do truck things, it's near perfect for me. And I'm coming off owning Tacomas from 2010 until now. The full refresh and all the issues people are reporting with the new 2024 Tacoma made me do some research for a new midsize truck, and the Ranger Raptor is what I walked away with. For everything you get at the price point, it's not bad either. If you can find one at sticker price, which I had to go out of state to do. Also, dude keeps calling that milkshake coffee, weird.
Great video and great review. Perfect timing too. My local ford dealership just ordered me a Ranger Raptor. They are great people! No obligation, no deposit needed, if i don't like it went it comes in i don't have to purchase, and NO MARKUP!!!! The one caveat is that i would potentially be trading in my 2023 F150 Raptor, but the ranger version may fit my lifestyle a bit more currently. The F150 Raptor is my dream truck but it's a pretty expensive truck to own. Plus those little life things like not being able to go through a carwash from time to time or parking comfortably in a parking garage. I live in a relatively urban setting in New England so parking and urban maneuverability are things i have to constantly think about for anywhere i may be heading out to. I am curious on the comfort of Ranger Raptor as i am a 6'3" normal build dude. It seems that every review out there for these trucks is made by someone who is exactly 6' tall. Just wondering if i will fit. I guess i'll head to a local dealership and sit in a normal ranger to check. If anyone out there has gone from a F150 Raptor to a Ranger Raptor I would be interested to here how the transition was. Thanks!
Excellent, real world review. Have had mine since April '24. Price was $2K under MSRP. Good value when compared to others in the segment. Size is much better for parking in the city. Full-sized always looking for a big enough parking space, but better for towing and has a much larger rear seat - if those are your needs. . MPG is better with miles, now 18-22. Did Ford's RR Assault Course, better named "get acquainted with your new Raptor and the various modes available." Fun and worth doing. Shifter: Not a big deal. Like more actual switches. Should have reviewed Auto-park. Useful for a pickup. Only true dislike is when Adaptive Cruise is turned on, Lane Keeping also comes on and must be turned off manually.

@@whotf888 My 2021 F-150 Lariat that I traded in for my Ranger Raptor has a grab handle on the drivers side A-pillar, so I don't understand why the Ranger Raptor doesn't. Ford really didn't want to invest above and beyond what the Aussies had, or we'd have a moonroof, grab handles, and other niceties typically found on $60K American pick up trucks
I drove past a ford dealer while they were closed just to see if they had a raptor, and there was one optioned almost the exact way I would want it, just without the spray in bedliner and black instead of gray. I wanted to see how much it was marked up, so I looked at the sticker and saw 57,300 give or take a little. It was within $100 of MSRP. Hoping to get a test drive in with it just to see how it feels, and if it's good I'll probably get one once I switch jobs and get settled in. It looks so wide and aggressive from the front, but the side profile looks stubby with all tire and cab, kinda funny looking but still decent dimensions overall.
First vid from you that I've watched. Not quite my hood, but pretty close. Looks like biking in Back Star, but where was that off road drive? Looks like a fun place for this vehicle. Good video!
I chose the Colorado ZR2 over the Ranger Raptor for several reasons. Price, availability at the time, display screen vertical? Colorado ZR2 had more interior space . Did I mention price?
The US Ranger Raptor misses out on a lot of features... from grab handles for every door, you don't have the extra cup holders under the driver's and passengers vents..and I've owned mine for nearly a year you will get used if the shifter and find it really good in no time at all, Everyone complains about something new , harden up!!!... everyone said the same thing about fuel injection, turbo and so on.
Regarding the gear shifter, cant you rest the right side of your hand on the trim next to the shifter and manipulate the shifter with your thumb and fingers for better control?
Idk if you’ll see this miles ima big fan I love ur vids man and ur family bro ur just living life loving ur job much love if there was a way someome could meet you irl where would it be? Or am I able to contact you for questions?
the dude recording from the bronco was funny.
haha, I only spotted him when editing this video
TheTopher might be a little upset you stole his truck😂
Gonna need my Ranger back, Miles!
I promise I took good care of it! Thanks for the loan 😉
i love waking up just to what a miles per hour vid
☀️ 😊
It doesn't require 91 octane fuel. That is recommended for best performance, but it's right there on the fuel door that it only requires 87.
Who’s putting 87 in a nice truck 😂

The V6 raptor shares the same engine and suspension as the Bronco actually
@@thewafls775 3.5 V6 from what i know

Was not expecting for you to start the video on your roof/balcony thing. Start up roasting your friends was a good bit to add.

USA Raptor's don't have a grab handle but my South African build has one
Because you folks in South Africa are actually gonna use these as off-road vehicles. Most Raptors in the States are pavement princesses.

Great video!
Loving my Ranger Raptor.
Just FYI I do not think premium fuel is required. Never put it in mine.
Interesting! I was convinced all modern turbo engines required 91 octane.
Best TH-camr by far!
My 2 door bronco is more expensive and got a lot of off-road features that this raptor doesn’t have, but that marketing, still Makes me want one.
"My correspondent just informed me that this is still a car video" 😂 Really enjoyed that small bit. Gave the video a like for it 😅
Please provide us with a night and day POV, this is my dream car🇿🇦💪🏼

Can you test the breaking traction control without activating lockers when climbing
For the price, I wish they gave me more knobs and switches. I hate cheap LCD screens.
Finally 🔥
Where did you go for the off-roading portion???
We went for a walk hehe, how were you, everything was very good
the bronco at 12:39 was trying to get your attention
Haha, I only noticed that when editing the video!

Miles, what is your personal car if u don't review cars?
He drives a 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 and a 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. He loves them both
