- I rank all 30 songs of San Remo 2024, the Italian national final for Eurovision 2024. San Remo is my favorite national final because of the sense of tradition, deep lyrics in Italian and the great music.

Tuta gold is really cool. It feels different to his previous entries.
Now, here is what a lot of people get wrong: Sanremo is not really a national preselection or "the national final" for Eurovision. It is a festival in its own right. It is older than Eurovision, which was actually modelled on it. And it is way bigger than Eurovision in Italy.
The country withdrew from the ESC many times throughout its history, citing a lack of interest in participating, but of course they would never dream of cancelling Sanremo. The fact that the winner is also sent to Eurovision is important, but certainly not the main goal. The winner can DECIDE whether they want to participate in the ESC or not.
And it is also because of its tradition and importance and status in Italian culture that it is so good.

Geolier is favourite because he's a succesful rapper with a huge fanbase, especially in Southern Italy, rapping in Neapolitan. Representation matters to them, and Geolier represents the South well.

I just want to point out that Mr Rain’s song is not a romantic song. The song is about a father who has lost his daughter but the memories of his daughter will help him overcome the pain. The "Two Swings" symbolize the ties that will remain suspended forever.

Annalisa's song is an actual possible Eurovision winner! The best in my opinion. Thank you for your content! Going to Malmö for the festival and you are making this build up even sweeter!
Even though your top 10 is a bit different than mine, I really enjoyed listening to your opinions and to see some songs from a different point of view. Also, I wanted to say that Dargen d'Amico's song also has a political meaning: it's about those people who leave their country to escape the war and travel in the middle of the sea in very dangerous situations (that's what the "high wave" referrs to). There's usually way too many people on those boats, some of the immigrants fall off and they are left behind ("there aren't enough lifesavers for all of us"). It also talks about war in general and what I really like is that he's able to deliver such a heavy topic with an upbeat and catchy song!

definetly by far : No 1 Ricchi e power - this is the italian Nebulossa hymn just with better vocals ..😍.. 2 Loredana Berte - what a great rock song... 3 Annalisa 4 Mahmood 5 Angelina Mango ......... 6 Alfa 7 Ghali 8 Bigmama .... interesting aspect... is there more taped background vocals and autotunes on stage allowed in Italy...?

This Italian speaking cannot explain to you why Geolier is so popular, I guess the whole Southern Italy roots for him. If he wins, I think I will not watch Eurovision, it would be too painful, after Marco.

Mahmood's tuta gold is about drug dealing. Five phones are probably referring to packs of drug, the golden jumpsuit refers to being packed with money. Flowers in the tuta are referring to marju*na, and the fact a friend of his is also using. Then he mentions a friend in prison 😂.
Onda Alta speaks about the drama of migrants who attempt to cross the Mediterranean often, unfortunately, without surviving. And it stems from the observation that, despite the huge risks of dying ("we are more than the life preservers on the boat" is a passage in the song), the arrival of irregular migrants does not decrease: in Italy, last year there were 150,000. There is also room in the lyrics to address the issue of haters on social media and social inequality with the gap between haves and have-nots getting wider and wider. And also, the song invites us to overcome mistrust of cultural differences and origins that are only based on prejudice. At the end makes notice how everyone is to blame when a war affects children.
I like Mahmood, Sangiovanni, BigMama and Santi Francesi.
I don't like Mahmood's song's parts with the chanting, but I love the rest so much that I can almost overlook that.

Italy, oh Italy! How dare you be so awesome every year!? This year, for example I like almost all songs. These by Annalisa, Mahmood and Angelina are my favourite but I have a strange feeling that Irama or Geolier will także the crown in the end 😏 PS. RAI actually fined one of their journalists for derogatory comments against Big Mama which shows how they take the welfare of artists very seriously

Annalisa is my Sanremo 2024 Winner!🖤✨️ I am listening to this one on repeat all the time, no other song from this selection is keeping me as addicted as "Sinceramente", and I am absolutely in love with Annalisa's voice! You can already crown the queen now, it's not a competition for me anymore after listening to this danceable masterpiece! This is on an outstanding level!🙏🫶✨️🔥 And I say this as a person who usually listens to alternative music and not to pop - but an outstanding song is an outstanding song, no matter what genre.🖤✨️ This is a danceable masterpiece that has very typical Italian flavour while still being modern and melodically seductive!✨️

I still haven't decided which one is my favorite, last year Marco Mengoni was a certain winner but this year there are a lot of good songs that grow on you as you hear them. 😂
Angelina Mango! The way she owned that stage. No props, no backup dancers or over the top visuals, just her and a mic, yet she managed to fill that stage with her performance, Just wow!!

Naples has decided our entry: it will be "I p'me, tu p'te" by Geolier. It's almost written in stone. First time I'm not rooting for my country since its return if It happens, because that song is rubbish.
Where was he in the press voting?
Not in the top 5, so we don't know for sure. But Naples has always been, and by far, the city from where the most of the votes come. He will win televote by a landslide, maybe around 60% in a 5 horse final, outruling the juries. All the city is supporting him and all the region aswell... I hope to be wrong obviously, because I hate that song and, listening to various discussions on various radio stations this morning, almost everybody else was complaining about the results.
Sanremo for me this year in order of preference: Clara, Dargen D’Amico, Annalisa, Ghali, Alfa, Ricchi e Poveri, Mahmood, Angelina Mango.
Very good year; it was difficult to make a choice.
Well, I was wrong. And I can't be more happy...
