That is a damn difficult set. Hard on the single soloist but she hangs in great. Her voice is really tired by the last 3 or 4 tunes but she carries such great energy nobody cares. Tru professional.

I had been lucky enough to find myself in the first row of this concert.Still remember this evening and about to see Kim in October 2018 again, and always remembering well the first TV appearance back in 1981.Thanks Kim for being a significant part of the soundtrack of my life and thanks even more to still perform on stage. P.S. My all time favourite is European Soul and 'd love to hear it in Mannheim on 04 Oct if possible:-)

By the time she was performing Wild One, she would have seen a VERY energized response from a small section of the crowd, one that she could not have missed. We would have stood out of the crowd of catatonic males who were complete stunned by her beauty and that alone. ;)
and we are forgetting a little detail, she was right in these moment *35* years old and she looks like a godness, easyaly she looks like 25 years, 10 years less younger

Kim Wilde impressed a on me. From the first hits an onwards. I was really taken by Kim’s sweet and at the same time raw personality her broken peaky nasal voice and apparent musicality tough London dialect all in a way contrasting to the pop music genre but still in the exact middle of the lane with the catchy stuff she and her brothers succeeded doing with their musical talents. Me, a punk musician, shouldn’t like this at all at the time and in certain conservative up nosed punk circles it wasn’t even permitted to listen too. I gave a shit and had some real serious problems from stupid mates in the business. Me and my brother made a trip by our motorcycles from Sweden to Scotland summer of 1987 and I was so happy to reach the island because I knew it also was the home of Kim. Having Kim’s then newly released You keep me hanging on in my head all the time during the trip I tried to convince my brother that this was not enough and that we had to try to look for Kim in one way or another and eventually also meet her and say hello at least before we took our bikes back over the sea again to Sweden. Me touring on a 1956 British BSA and my brother on a German BMW was unfortunately and sadly back in Sweden without this wished and hoped for experience because we run out of money far north in Scotland and had to go direct home when time had come for some “Sherlock Holmes inquiring” for fun sake. And maybe it was a hopeless task anyway. But I will never forget my (certainly) impossible love for Kim during this trip and that this beautiful state of mind was kept alive by her very special voice in my ears day and night. I was 29 my brother 26. Thank you Kim for keeping me hanging on the year of 1987 on my bike through Scotland! All the best Gomer Explensch.
I still find her voice terrible most at times and she also often struggles singing. But she is successful so who cares. And I prefer those raw live recordings anyway.
@@Sloppylicious I would never describe her vocals as terrible, but rather weak. She could hit her pitches, but her range was really limited. However, she was insanely gorgeous, so that certainly helped her career.

My step fathers brother worked at RAK studios and told me that she had to have singing lessons as her voice was terrible....glad she didn’t give up...
