I definitely say people misunderstood the casting of Tom Holland as Nathan Drake. He was a great choice for Nate. People said he looked too young, but Nate is most certainly a young man in the first game. Roughly mid to late twenties. Even if he was 30, that's still considered young. But in general, the movie is about a younger Nathan Drake. And Tom Holland definitely nailed Drake here. He had the quirkiness and humor Nate is known for. Tom even got the seal of approval from Nolan North, the original Nathan Drake. Unfortunately, Mark Wahlberg wasn't a great choice for Sully. It literally felt like Marky Mark played himself in the film instead of Sully. With better direction and writing, this could have been a standout film. But unfortunately, it fell short of the games in a lot of ways. The best thing I can say about this film is that I liked it. But it's definitely not great.
For the record, I'm a huge Uncharted fan. I've played all of the games, I have cosplayed Nathan Drake, and I have met Nolan North. Tom Holland maybe a mid nate but imagine if he was atreus.
Mark Wahlberg is a good sully, but I think Tom Hardy would be a better Nathan Drake
Hardy isn't particularly quippy, or much of an underdog. Holland has that in spades.
Well yes Tom Holland is athletic but he DOES NOT look like Nathan Drake at all. He is a great actor don’t get me wrong but I don’t think he is a good Nathan Drake.
@@banthatheory5696 He's not a bad Young Drake. Even his face shape isn't that far off. But yeah, I'd ideally want a different actor for Drake in his twenties/thirties
@@JaimeNyx15 yes I agree, maybe for the sequel they can change the actor. But I think Mark is the perfect Sully.
F no
What will happen to him when that bomb explodes?
napunta sa Pilipinas.
The music in this scene was so bland. They even reference Pirates of the Caribbean, that's the level of bombastic music they need for a fight aboard two flying pirate ships.
Does anyone know I can find the soundtrack at this part? 8:57
As terrible as the casting was, the action sequences were very entertaining and felt like an uncharted game
I mean the castings could’ve been better but Tom as Nate was still solid imo. Mark needs a tad bit of work but I think he can pull it off. Sophia as Chloe I thought was spot on
@@drumaticpageofmusic4148 I would've preferred Brett Dalton as nate honestly
@@andrewbastoe1854 THATS EXACTLY MY PICK
@@andrewbastoe1854 however I do think Tom was decent as Nate
♥️👍

AVI ARAD ruined everything again
And now he's gonna ruin BORDERLANDS
The same way he ruined TASM2 and MORBIUS
spidermanhomecoming
With sound effects he makes, I don't think Tom's ever been in a real fight
wow
