As a fan of the games, this wasn’t a great adaptation but it was a fun movie.
My thoughts exactly first time I watched it I couldn’t bear it second I went in with an open mind
Exactly im a uncharted fan aswell and i had a fun time with movie even though it isn't accurate to the games
Damn must've taken allot of time and effort to plan, shoot and edit this scene, props to the filmmaking team.
@@fireroc2the only thing cgi is the background there doing the stunts and using props

Seriously, Nate is like that one guy who is constantly in jail but always gets out because he has an ungodly amount of get out of jail free cards.
10 out of 10 this is a true Uncharted Scene.
Hell no it ain't. This was not Uncharted. This was a generic action movie that had Tom Holland and nothing but green screen in it.
The games have some of the BEST cinematic action scenes. Even better than most films! What a shame..Uncharted deserved better then this. I think Uncharted needs to be on the same epic level as Indiana Jones. I really do. The soundtrack from Uncharted 3 is some of the BEST action music I've ever heard. Check it out. Seriously. Uncharted deserves to totally follow in the footsteps of Indiana Jones and this movie just ain't it. You could just take the name "Uncharted" out and have it be a pretty cool flick with Holland and Wahlberg
@@Cole-ossalReviews I agree and disagree. The movie as a whole absolutely did not capture the heart of the series. But the final sequence felt like something straight out of the games and I think they nailed the finale.
It's when the uncharted music kicks in at 2:49 I was like yes bro there's drake
3:46 - 4:06 The only 20 seconds of the movie when it actually felt like Uncharted... :/
Hey jack sparrow lol I’m so happy they put that joke there.
I definitely say people misunderstood the casting of Tom Holland as Nathan Drake. He was a great choice for Nate. People said he looked too young, but Nate is most certainly a young man in the first game. Roughly mid to late twenties. Even if he was 30, that's still considered young.
But in general, the movie is about a younger Nathan Drake. And Tom Holland definitely nailed Drake here. He had the quirkiness and humor Nate is known for. Tom even got the seal of approval from Nolan North, the original Nathan Drake.
Unfortunately, Mark Wahlberg wasn't a great choice for Sully. It literally felt like Marky Mark played himself in the film instead of Sully.
With better direction and writing, this could have been a standout film. But unfortunately, it fell short of the games in a lot of ways. The best thing I can say about this film is that I liked it. But it's definitely not great.
For the record, I'm a huge Uncharted fan. I've played all of the games, I have cosplayed Nathan Drake, and I have met Nolan North. So yeah, I definitely say Tom Holland was a great choice for Nathan Drake. I was all for it. I'd be down if Tom Holland were to return as Drake for a sequel. Hopefully one that has better direction and writing.
@@snakeshadows6993No. I don't think Tom is a good Nathan Drake at all. He should not be able to fight this good at this point in his life. Nathan Drake fights like a bar brawler. He was taught BY Sully. And yet. Tom Hollands Drake as young as he is. Knows how to breakdance fight? And fight guys with swords? Come on. No. It's too HOLLYWOOD like. Oh let's have a shirtless scene of Holland working out. Nathan Drake never needed a shirtless scene. Tom is not a good choice for Drake. Not even a younger one. They should've gotten Chriss Pratt as Drake.
Also, this is not the kind of action that would be in any of the Uncharted games. Uncharted's action set pieces were very realistic on how the s*** would go down. And Uncharted 2, When a train was hanging off the cliff, that's literally how a train would hang and fall off of a cliff, When buildings and structures were crumbling and falling around them in the games, That's exactly how a building like that would crumble and fall apart. The action was very realistic. Survival part of it may have been a bit lucky lol. The action set pieces themselves were very realistic. This is just silly. Carrying the ship from a helicopter that's three times its size? That kind of silliness was never in the Uncharted games. This movie is just too Hollywoody. It's not the true heart and soul of what Uncharted deserves to be. This was a generic and forgettable movie. And Uncharted deserves to be one of the greatest archaeological action venture movies ever made. Mission Impossible 6 is the greatest Uncharted movie we needed. The action in MI6 and 7 is the type of action Uncharted should have. Not this Hollywood nonsense.
@@Cole-ossalReviews Have you actually played the Uncharted games? You're calling those action scenes realistic? What you just said is entirely wrong. The action scenes in the Uncharted games are very much over the top. Nathan Drake has always found himself in situations that would be practically impossible to survive. It literally plays out like a Hollywood action film. I've played the Uncharted games for years, and I can definitely attest to this. I know them very well.
Hell, Drake shouldn't have been able to make it off that dangling train while having a gunshot wound. But that's what makes the games awesome. Drake finds himself in dangerous situations that the average person would not find themselves in. He's an ordinary guy going on extraordinary adventures.
And yes, Tom Holland is a great Nathan Drake. The OG Drake Nolan North gave him his seal of approval. What I say stands here. You don't have to like it, but that's just how it is.
@@snakeshadows6993Have I played them?.....PFHAAA! I am the BIGGEST Uncharted fan. I platinumed Uncharted 3.
You didn't pay attention to what I said. The WAY the action is, is realistic. The survival part is not.Drake would never realistically susrvive. But the action itself. The set pieces. Are epic, The way things crumble apart is very realistic. That's what made the games so amazing. It's not filled with silly hollywood action scenes like this one had. In Uncharted 3, The chateau escape when they're escaping the burning building was very realistic. That's how a building would really fall apart. And Uncharted 3. The plane escape. That's how a plane would really fall apart. Get what I'm saying? But in this it was just filled with your typical generic Hollywood action stuff. It was not the heart and soul of what Uncharted is. The game even did the plane scene better than the movie did. Way more epic and had a much better soundtrack. Yes, I'm calling the action scenes realistic because that's how it would really go down. Drake would never survive though in real life. But in real life that's how that stuff would actually crumble and fall apart. And no Tom Holland is not a good. Nathan Drake. He brought him on because he played Spider-Man and all I can hear was his teenager voice doing Spider-Man breakdancing fight scenes. And that's not how Nathan Drake fights, especially when he was younger. Mission Impossible 6 Is a better Uncharted movie than this. THAT is how Uncharted action is supposed to be. Not this typical Hollywood stuff. Uncharted deserved better than this movie. In fact! Tom Cruise is a better Nathan Drake than Tom Holland lol. Just watch Mission Impossible 6 and 7. It's the greatest Uncharted action you'll ever see and the fight between Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill is exactly how a Nathan Drake fight is supposed to be. I am a die-hard Uncharted fan and Mission Impossible did it right. Not this movie that's just filled with green screen.
@@Cole-ossalReviews Once again, you're wrong. The Uncharted games DO play out like a Hollywood action blockbuster. The action scenes are VERY MUCH over the top. Any Hollywood director and game designer would tell you that. Especially ones that actually know more than you obviously do. Which is actually very little. You have proven that. Those action scenes are NOT realistic. You just believe they are. They're entertaining, but not fathomable in real life. They played out exactly how they would have played in the game.
And yes, Tom Holland is a great Nathan Drake. He nailed the character. You just don't like him as Drake. You're not basing what you say on fact. You're basing what you say on opinion. I've actually worked within the entertainment industry. I actually know how this stuff works. You clearly do not. That's exactly why I don't trust a word you say. Because you are not trustworthy. Whatsoever. And there's nothing you can do about that.
We need a sequel to this
I actually don't mind mark wahlberg as a younger sully but holland as nate just ain't it, unless its nate at a stupidly young age I guess but he already looked pretty young by UC1
IDK I feel it, he def looks dumb levels of young. But Drake's age never really matters much tbh. Most Media has teens/young adults doing most of the action already.
I never play uncharted, lara croft, and the 1st warcraft(or their early lore) so when i see the movie, i think its okay, maybe if this movie dont named as uncharted and with same mc name, just some treasure hunt movie it will work.
He was still 31 in Drake's Fortune so that isn't really a young young Nate
This scene was actually really well done some really good stuff in this movie the casting was kinda weird though.
Tom holland actually did a really good job action wise I feel like people are thrown off because of his high voice and baby face but he still did a good job
We apprceiate your effort and hard work. God bless you.
that is one magical cannon, firing without any powder. just a few pinches into the touch hole and it somehow fires...
If you're going to start being realistic, you're going to have BIG problems with this movie. For instance, I seriously doubt there's anyone strong enough to lug around a backpack full of gold. Plus a Sikorsky Sky Crane can only lift around 10 tons or so.....
@@ryans413 Not nearly enough. To fire a cannon, you need a bag full of gunpowder, about the size of the cannonball itself. Nate only put like a few ounces in it. The flask of gunpowder he took is one used for muskets and pistols, not cannons.

Its The Adventures Of Tintin The Secret Of Unicorn To Tom Holland Live Action Of Uncharted
I like how everyone in this movie was some kind of magician being able to swipe the item needed to progress in the story (I forgot what it was) without even getting within arms reach of the person who initially had it.

The only thing I see is Cade Yeager and Peter Parker on a ship. Cade Yeager is the only reason I know Mark.
Peminat nombor 1 Uncharted. Dari game sampai ke movie👍👍👍
If you stack Tom Holland on top of Mark Wahlberg, you end up with a normal sized human being.
omg this has me dying. i was just scrolling through the comments and their all talking about the logistical problems of the movie and how there are inconsistencies and then you just come out of left field with this comment. i’ve been dying laughing for 5 minutes
Why didn't Sully just throw one or two gold bars at braddock? gold is really heavy(no one could carry around a bag full of it so easily) so if he hit braddock in the face she'd still fall.
I love how the philippines is mentioned.
Holland, made a great job as Nate

I swear the first time i saw it, i completely forgot the movie was based on Uncharted up until 3:45
Yes, it's a fun dumb action movie, but the characters don't act or look anything like the games.
Tom Holland Nathan “Nate” Drake
Xolo Maridueña Jaime Reyes/Blue Beetle
Mark Wahlberg Victor “Sully” Sullivan
George Lopez Rudy Reyes
Antonio Banderas Santiago Moncada
Susan Sarandon Victoria Kord
Sophia Ali Chloe Frazer
Bruna Marquezine Jenny Kord
Tati Gabrielle Jo Braddock
Raoul Max Trujillo Ignacio Carapax/OMAC
Rudy Pankow Samuel “Sam” Drake
Belissa Escobedo Milagro Reyes

I sorta have a love hate relationship with this movie. If it wasn’t a uncharted movie I could love it as just a fun treasure hunting movie. It’s own thing, kinda like national treasure just with more guns. But the thing the studio was banking on is what held it down the most and that being the uncharted theme of it. These simply aren’t our characters from the game and they didn’t have to be. Kinda a shame but definitely still a fun watch.
That part is so funny 😂😂😂😂
Casting might not have been too perfect but I liked the action scenes
Anyone else notice that the door was destroyed and then magically fixed 😂😂

ok, totaly not obeying the laws of physics, but it looks very cool
also, we all know that a gold shield can in fact withstand bullets^^
and why the f does he have to shoot a canon at the end, when he could have just slammed the ship into the rotors befor...
also one or two of those gold lumps would have thrown her off as well...
man... there would have been a good way to do this, the movie was so nice until then
♥️👍
they forgot the door was broken
Is that peter parker???😮😮😮
If those ships were real it would be such a shame I mean a crime in its own to damage such historic artifacts. The ships alone would be worth at least half what the gold is.

Tom Holland did a good job but the movie feels like something else entirely rather than uncharted. It was a decent movie and a nice try despite the poor physics.
Wahlberg would've been better as Nathan Drake
Does anyone know I can find the soundtrack at this part? 8:57
this was 10 times better than the game
Tom Holland maybe a mid nate but imagine if he was atreus.
I think Tom holland is the best choice for Nathan drake actually
With sound effects he makes, I don't think Tom's ever been in a real fight

In your case what you do? answers expected !!
What will happen to him when that bomb explodes?
let me guess this take place when the “actual”nate actually retired
This movie is its own thing. It dosnt follow the games exactly. Just takes things from the games mashed into its own story.
AVI ARAD ruined everything again
And now he's gonna ruin BORDERLANDS
The same way he ruined TASM2 and MORBIUS
As terrible as the casting was, the action sequences were very entertaining and felt like an uncharted game
I mean the castings could’ve been better but Tom as Nate was still solid imo. Mark needs a tad bit of work but I think he can pull it off. Sophia as Chloe I thought was spot on

In my humble opinion this film was rushed, poorly casted and decided to cross 2 games into one movie for some unknown reason...total waste of time!
bro i think that dude is drug or something
Mark Wahlberg is a good sully, but I think Tom Hardy would be a better Nathan Drake
Hardy isn't particularly quippy, or much of an underdog. Holland has that in spades.
Well yes Tom Holland is athletic but he DOES NOT look like Nathan Drake at all. He is a great actor don’t get me wrong but I don’t think he is a good Nathan Drake.

What a complete and utter load of crap. You have to suspend son disbelief, but the total disregard of the physics involved alone in this movie makes this the worst movie in cinematic history. This should have been a career Ender for the Leeds a few years ago.
@jackknopf5974 That's modern movies for you. I wonder how much of this is a byproduct of having CGI on hand. Its much cheaper to create whatever crazy thing you can think of, so movies go crazier and crazier with their stunts until we get to the height of silliness here.
Dude have you played any of the games. The main character jumps around on ledges and has massive upper body strength and kills 100s of men why’ll laughing and saying one liners. It’s based of a video game relax not ment to be utterly realistic.
It’s not an autobiography, it’s a silly action movie based on a video game. You must be fun at parties 🤡
@@ryans413 But here's the thing dude. Uncharted's action set pieces are very realistic. The way that stuff crumbles around them and structures fall, the way Nate hung off of a train that was hanging off of the cliff in the Himalayas.... That's how that stuff would really go down. That's how those buildings would crumble and that's how a train would hang off of a cliff. The action and Uncharted when everything is falling apart is how it would REALLY fall apart. You know?? The survival part of it might be a little lucky lol. But This? This is just silliness. Helicopter carrying a ship. That's three times its size. This kind of silliness was never in the Uncharted games. The action, as crazy as it was, was very realistic on how it would happen!
one of the worst movies i have seen.
Holland is such a pathetically BAD actor. And seeing this he certainly has no idea how to throw a punch nor sword fight. Fillion played the role so much better. Then again, a dead goldfish could have done a better job than Holland.
Thats why woman should not be in charge. She should left one of the ships on that bout, and then try to get to another. Her chopper would be lighter and she would have half of the prize already.

This movie was nice and everything but something that bugs me is how sully and Nate met. In the original game Nate and sully met in Mexico and sully took Nate under his wing Nate and his bother both left the orphanage and Nate older brother would work while Nate pick pocket people to get cash

10 for creativity. This is something I’d love to play in an Uncharted game how cool would that have been.
