  • They always said 47 would be late for his own funeral. It's time to finish off Hitman Blood Money, and then, as it's our 100th video, Jon tells you ManyATrueFact about himself and the channel...
    In Hitman Blood Money: No Kill Run, we'll be completing Hitman Blood Money without a single person being killed. Except tragic accidents, clumsy VIPs, and an never ending process of mysterious exploding winches...
    And once that's done, we'll be showing off some of the other fun to be had in Hitman Blood Money, from awesome sniper spots to little touches you might have missed.

    There's something a little disturbing about slowly escorting these people to their deaths while you're talking about something else. Gives the impression 47 is just rambling about his hobbies to his victims while they hopelessly beg for their lives. And he isn't even remotely phased.
    Good stuff.

    i was the one who asked the third-to-last question about your reasonings for non-traditional gameplay. i absolutely love how much thought you put into gaming as a form of art rather than just a form of entertaining/making money-- it really sets you apart from the vast majority of let's play artists and makes your videos much more captivating to watch. thank you for such an in-depth answer.
    and shoutout to advance wars 2 for sure! one of my favorite games as well.

      I liked Dual Strike a far bit, but the campaign was less interesting, and some of the tag power combo were just straight up broken (Eagle/Sami especially is just way too strong).
      Dark Conflict (or Days of Ruin, depending on your territory) was just awful. Awful plot, badly written, uninteresting campaign, uninspiring music, no interesting CO powers, and an awful brown art style.

    Intros of ME2 and ME3 are part of pop-culture collective memory now. ME2 intro was like playing Gravity, ME3 not so much but for that incredible soundtrack ... every time I hear that deep bass these days it reminds me of the Reapers.

Concerned about the needless loss of life, that person was driven to petition Congress/Parliament. A few years later, OSHA (British: Health and Safety) was launched.

    Yes! ME2's "The End Run" is fantastic! In fact, all of the tracks that play during the final fight/cutscenes are great.
    I also love all of the different variations of the Elder Scrolls theme. I love how all of them have their own unique and identifiable twist while keeping the basic theme the same. I don't know how they do it, but damn is it awesome.
    Don't know if you could really count it, but "Honor For All" from Dishonored's end credits is another one of my favorites. I believe it was made specifically for the game, so I suppose it could count.
    Sorry, I just love videogame soundtracks. Can't help but get excited whenever they're discussed. Everyone always looks at me weird when they ask me what my favorite songs are and I name videogame soundtracks. lol

    I'll be honest, as an aspiring author, I can't help but be mildly depressed when someone talks about gaming being the future of storytelling.
    I mean, not that I can't conceive of a story potentially following different paths (quite the opposite, I often have trouble deciding where the story should go), but the enormous potential that comes with not having to discard those paths, and instead having to flesh all of them out equally...
    It's terrifying and awe-inspiring, the future I might find myself in as a storyteller.

    • @plactoid7500
      @plactoid7500 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Nathanael Unger So what is depressing about that? It seems that that would mean you could have something like Douglas adam's storytelling... where the character can do the same thing but for entirely different reasons. I would think that would mean that writers would be well in demand for that as well, as not all authors are good at the wide variety of psychology and character development, and multiple people telling the same story would be quite interesting.

    • @rebeccaliar9873
      @rebeccaliar9873 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Plactoid Dent Because it's just so much. Infinite possibilities makes any single possibility seem small and insignificant. It dwarfs everything I've done, where every could-have-been becomes real and every branching pathway must be fully realized.
      Imagine if, instead of having to pick one choice, you had to pick all of them, and continue down every resulting timeline taking every possible choice.
      I suppose... I'm afraid that I might not have the skill to remain relevant in a world like that.

    • @plactoid7500
      @plactoid7500 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Nathanael Unger thats kind of my point. you dont need to, because youd be part of a team writing. your skill at writing would be more able to speak the message and ideas that YOU want to communicate because you almost wouldn't have to worry about trying to shoehorn other ideas on top of it. plus, the point of a game that tells a story is confining enough that an infinite number of possibilities wouldn't really happen, it still has to have relevance to the game. its just the whys that would be infinite, but you wouldn't have to focus on the whys, because the player fills that in. it is daunting, yes, but would be worth the try. i mean look at the ending of mass effect series. the bar is kinda set low, because even pros don't know how to do that. maybe you will be the one to crack it.

      @GaleCrystal 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Chocoboba Fett Okay, know this is an old comment.. But, a No-Kill run on Skyrim is possible.. But it's very, very dull and takes far too long. Not to mention you will still have to level up just to survive. Smithing, Sneak, Illusion, Alteration, Restoration, Light/Heavy Armor, Block and Alchemy are vital skills.
      Also, because of the no companions rule, any kind of Conjuration magic isn't allowed either. Enchanting is kinda off the table aswell, because of the price of filled soulgems and the inability to fill your own (Yes, I know you could cast Soul Trap and have other people kill things, but ingame casting it is classed as an attack so..).

    You think 1997 was a long time ago? I was 23 in '97. You want to talk about old gaming, the first game system I remember playing came out in the late '70's. It predated the Atari system. It had no cartridges, it was Pong. In glorious black and white. When Atari came out, I was about 6 and to have changeable cartridges for different games was mind blowing. You could even play in color!!!!

      I was a 4 year old kid and I remember my dad (rip) brought me my first "console". This was back in Russia in the 80s so we were set back a bit technology wise. I forgot the name but it was a pong style console, it had singles and doubles pong, a light gun that you used to "shoot" squares on the tv and a few other games. I thought it was the best thing ever and enjoyed the hell out of it. In the next few years I got a NES (it was called Dendy, wierd) and Sega and loved them all but pong was my first love. Its crazy how far gaming has come along and im glad I got to see it evolve.

    You said you like advanced wars 2 but didn't like the more realistic darker story of the new one (which I agree with) however have you ever played dual strike? The advanced war game on the DS that was the sequal to advanced wars 2 and an amazingly fun one at that? It's basically advanced wars 2 with double team CO and some new COs all together and is just generally a better advanced wars 2 in my opinion atleast. Way better then the one after that (or was the apocalyptic one the sequel and dual strike the one that came after?)

    I've heard a lot of great stories about Pokemon, but your's is just fantastic. That reminds me, would you ever play a Pokemon game on the channel? Heck, it could even be one of those GameCube versions like Colosseum or XD: Gale of Darkness. Those are both a lot of fun and I think they'd do well as a series or even a one off episode. And about X & Y, I haven't owned a Pokemon game since Emerald, but I decided to pick up X on a whim. It's fantastic. It revolutionizes the series and it's just a great game overall. There is literally no reason why you shouldn't play that game, it's a great edition, especially if you want to get back into the series

      I probably would, yes, though it's difficult to say exactly what I'd do, as these games have been played a LOT and are somewhat linear... I'll look into some options. Any suggestions on potential rule sets?

    • @raultejada9887
      @raultejada9887 11 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've been trying to figure this out for a little while, and I've come to the conclusion that the GameCube Pokemon games might be tough to do a special run of. They'd take a lot of time, and I haven't played them for years, so I don't remember all the different sets of rules that those games have built into them already. They'd be great for a Why Not Wednesday for sure, but one of your mindblowing unique runs... maybe not so much. As far as hand held Pokemon games go, there are so many rule sets that people have come up with, it's not even funny. The Nuzlocke challenge is the most popular, but there are so many more. If you really want to do a Pokemon game as a series (which I think would be great), just do a search for "special pokemon playthroughs" and they're'll be a million results of special rulesets people have come up with.

    Don't discount us "First-Generation" gamers. My first game ever was "Pong" (at around 5-6 yrs old), on a machine where you had to drop a quarter (yes, JUST ONE quarter!) into it to play a round, well, until you lost three times...From that game to Half-Life alone took over twenty years, a lot of the games in between ranged between total flops to innovative leaps in technology, I watched the Atari (and other types of) console first come out...I'll be five decades old in the next couple years, and I still love video games...just imagine what kinds of video games there will be twenty years from now...the term "plug-and-play" may be FAR more personal... :)

      There's an organization called The Franchise trying to ban cloning, then kill 47 and burn his remains so that there's no way for any other organization in the world to have access to cloning, and they can have a monopoly on clone assassins (Mark Purayah II from Murder of Crows and Mark Parchezzi III from Amendment XXV are both Franchise clones.)
      Diana, your handler, meets 47 in person before this mission and inexplicably stabs him with a needle, seemingly out of nowhere, then sells his body to The Franchise... But it's actually the "fake death" serum used in Flatline. She sneaks his body his Silverballers and kisses him with the antidote before leaving the funeral... The funeral which The Franchise's leader is attending...

    That awkward moment when Jon and I owned the exact opposite versions of each game xD I had Blue, Gold, Ruby, Pearl, and White. And I'd say to buy Pokemon X, since Pokemon Y puts new breath into the series.

    I'd argue that as far as Advance Wars goes, Dark Conflict(Days of Ruin stateside) is far better than Dual Strike, the actual sequel to AW2. Case in point, Dual Strike is the one that, to my knowledge, no one will go to bat for, while there are plenty of Days of Ruin defenders, myself included.
    Still not as good as Advance Wars 2 though. Damn that game was good. Also, it's nice to see Skies of Arcadia getting proper representation, 'cause I only know one other person who's actually played that game, and I was the one who introduced him to it.

      He'd have to do it differently to the way he did it in New Vegas there's no way he would be able to kill everyone everywhere he goes at level 1 and it'd take quite a grind before he can handle the really tough fights like Vivec.

  • @soup3015

    how do you do a skyrim no kill

    • @GLL98
      @GLL98 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      prophet of R'hllor the game only requires you to kill two things to progress with the story: the dragon that you kill with delphine when she reveals that she is a blade and alduin himself, the rest you can sneak by, run away from or in some cases let the other members of the quest do the killing.

    • @soup3015
      @soup3015 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      but you still need to kill aludin so i can beacly play skyrm pass the tutroial turn off my computer and say i just did a no kill

    • @GLL98
      @GLL98 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      prophet of R'hllor well, when you fight both dragons you are acompanied by people who can do the killing for you. And the objective is to finish the main quest.

    • @soup3015
      @soup3015 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes but thats is cheating you asked dose people to help you and the golden ruel in no kills is no companions

      GLL98 The other heroes will never kill Alduin - they can get him down to 1HP, but you have to deliver the killing blow.
