Evinrude conversion to electric outboard part 1 replace the tohatsu kicker

been wanting to do this for some time, see if it's possible. the Mercury version is a 750w motor the other brands are 1-1.3 kw motors. see if I can build.one for less re using a dead motor. the 2:1 gear box should help keep amp draw down. motor is rated for 4300 rpm max of 5200
which is sweet spot for this build

There was 50' of braid line wrapped around prop shaft. Seal was ok.
Removed gears resealed. Removed impeller.
Drilled holes out in Brushless motor they where to small and there was no fan inside.
Power washed grease from motor needs another wash.
