Yo Arthur great video, but the people you went to for advice were right. Only hay is enough to get 100%. You only need to be patient for 1 more month. But keep up the great content!

I can't find the tricker for laying out strawbed(robot-barn) - in some barns you should put it inside ..but that don't work in the big barn?

Great video teached me a lot but how do you give straw bales in the small farm?
The small pen does not accept straw. The only reason you need straw is to produce slurry, and since the small pen has no slurry, it takes no straw. Now, I wonder if it does take straw if you add a slurry pit - I will have to test that.

When I ran my cow tests - milk cows will produce milk at 12 months, and begin to gestate babies at 18 months. And for beef cattle if you wait until they're 37 months (slight hit on price) you do get 2 rounds of babies.

One of my cows has got out there was two but one went back but one won’t how has this happened is this common. It’s in the way laying in the road and field.
When I drop off a hay bale it doesn’t take it, I did it the same way you did?

Bales can be 4000-6000 liters, depending on your settings.

I just used the default size. 4000l I believe
I also found that cow health on hay took 1 month delay, buy 0%, next day 80%, day after 100%. With TMR there is no delay, buy at 0%, next month 100%.

@@Vbluguitar In essence TMR is needed for milk production (and a boost in slurry production), but for all else there's no difference between hay and TMR as far as breeding and sale value.
For those wondering, Each cow when fed TMR need 350L per day to stay at 100% health

What I am struggling with is fetching the feed, I got hay and wheat. The game says fetch it from the shop but I don't know where the shop is.
What feed are you referring too? There isn't any feed that you have to buy if you follow the steps in the video. You are making the feed. The shop is the same place where you get your vehicles from. There is a pallet menu in the shop - I think the menu goes Tractors, Trailers, Pallets and then Construction. Under pallets you can also purchase feed pre-mixed, but once again, You don't need to purchase feed if you follow this video and make your own.

Mods are free - Most Giants DLCs cost about 10 bucks or less.
What are the white bales?
Wrapped grass - after they sit for a month or two they "rot" and become silage - which is food for cows.
i think my game is broken because when i put a grass bale in it said this bale is not supported
Yeah, it needs to be hay or silage - wrap that grass bale and let it ferment.
Where do you put there water
If you have the smallest pen, the water trough is up front. If you have the any of the other buildings, they get water automatically.

Sure, but not in game. In game TMR is all they eat.
You can get free water from the river longside the farm shop
yes, yes you can... but that is only true on this map, not on all maps. Most do have a free spot somewhere though.

There is not much of a difference between grass and hay
I mean, yeah - hay is pretty much dried grass. but in game they serve different purposes.

Arthur Dairy cows need all three total mixed ration, grass and hay. to maximise your milk intake.
Nope that is not correct. You probably didn't test this to see which one is giving you more milk. Well I did and it worked exactly like giants explaining in the tutorial or help menu. In the help menu it states: You have three options:
For the cows to be fully (100%) productive and give as much milk as they can, you have to feed them Total Mixed Ration (TMR) - consisting of straw, hay, silage and mineral feed. You can buy all the ingredients at the dealership.
If you don't have all the ingredients (or the time), you can feed them with grass or hay. By feeding hay, they will still be 80% productive. By feeding them only grass, their productivity drops to 40%.
Does your farm rely heavily on milk production, especially in winter, you should always prepare enough quality food for them to be as productive as they can be.
@Douglas you said the exact same thing 4 weeks ago with another video. Then I did explain it to you, and you still don't know how it works. You might wanna read the tutorial or help menu again indeed. The food trough can be filled with TMR, which is 100% effective. Or if you dont have TMR you can fill it with Hay, but hay is only 80% effective. And grass is the other option. But that is 40% effective like Zero76Gaming just said.

It can a bit - just make sure you watch your mix so that all the items stay in the green.
