good lyrics though it misses the intention of the original pretty hard. the orginal is staunchly anti war. basically saying that the warlike tendencies of japans past and the glorification of them is what caused japans culture to die. that continuing to fight keeps japan from reaching what they believe themselves to be and that only by laying down arms and keeping them down can japans culture survive.
I totally agree with this, but maybe he was thinking of it this way; Japan has been driven away from their country, captured by (insert country name here) and has no choice but to fight back to get back home. The lyrics "No man left behind" just goes to show that they must've wanted everyone to go home, so to get back to their peaceful land, they had to fight.
