I just wish that if you sped up Lizz's version in TH-cam, it wouldn't sound warped like it does because I like the music in that one and the lyrics are VERY slightly different, and I like them better, but I like that this one is the normal speed.

Other than this cover not using my preferred lyrics, this cover far outshines my expectations which are VERY high due to your consistently amazing work!
What do you mean prefers lyrics there’s only one translation to the song.
@@baku2575, it’s not uncommon for different people to use different lyrics when singing songs made in a different language. Since Senbonzakura is originally a Japanese song, when translating it from Japanese to English (or any language really), the spoken syllables in any direct translation almost never fit very well to the beat of the song, so when writing lyrics for singing a song, the lyricist will often change things a bit so that the new lyrics convey more or less the same meaning while still fitting the beat like the original untranslated lyrics do. Since there are usually more than one ways of saying the same thing, different lyricists often come up with different lyrics than each other. Basically, in most cases at least, there just isn’t only a single way to translate a song from one language into singable lyrics for another.
I hope that clarifies things. I’m not an expert on the matter though, so my apologies if I’ve said something incorrect.

This song is about Western influence in Japan and the modernization of Japan via the Meiji Revolution.

@@andezong9565 its about the westernization of Japan following the loss of world war two hence dark times following the atomic bombs . and the song is a powerful one about the loss of national identity to the west creation of this song was probably due to those wanting a era without the hyper competitive capitalism of the west that grew in eastern asia and has resuted in horrendously high suicide rates and low birth rates and a general downward spiral of japanese society

Wut? Japan was never under Korean control, the song is about the Meiji restoration and rapid industrialization of Japan in the late 19th century. That being said yeah, there is a weird dissonance between the tone and lyrics.
