  • What is the difference between the Apple Pencil for the iPad and a Wacom Cintiq stylus. There are both very good but there are some difference many of them come down to software. For example if you wanted to Use Adobe's software like Photoshop or Illustrator go Wacom if you want to Use Procreate go with the iPad.

      @chickishot8172 3 ปีที่แล้ว +39

      @@celestialcressy I absolutely love it. I recently used it to make a manga for a contest. It makes my work go by so much faster cause of the shortcuts using the touch screen. Touch the screen with two fingers and it will “undo” but touch it with three and it will “redo.” I’ve owned it for a year and love it. Plus the best part is being able to be mobile with it without having a power cord attached. My particular version is the iPad Pro 11” (2018 version) and the Apple Pencil 2. Some people aren’t fond of drawing on the glass cause it slides like writing on glass but it’s never bothered me and I know some use a screen protector like paper like 2 or a matte type. Those will wear down the tip of your Apple Pencil much quicker though but tip replacements aren’t super expensive to replace.
      Edit: if you do get a screen protector that is matte or paper like 2 it slightly distorts the colors a bit. I personally chose to get a glass screen protector but many people can’t stand to draw on glass.

    I’m not a huge fan of the lack of friction with the apple pencil, but the fact that there is no lag whatsoever makes it better than any other stylus I could get imo. Even watching this video I could see the wacom lag a little bit (as in, the line being drawn trailed behind the pencil a little).
    I also got used to the friction thing but it would still be pretty awesome if they could do something to increase it.

    You forgot to mention the erasing mechanism. With Apple you double tap the side of the pen to switch, and with Wacom you can spin it around like you've got an eraser on the other end of your pen.
    I prefer the Wacom in this situation cuz I'm just so much more used to the use of an eraser on the back of a pencil and therefore the movement feels more natural.
