Great DL bar review. I have only gotten my hands on a DL bar a few times. I don’t think I lift enough to make it worth the $$. It will be very interesting to see how you find a quantitative measurement for Whip and barbell knurl.
Thorough breakdown as usual! Deadlift bar for me is probably not needed since I'm not pulling all those blue plates but if you love deadlifting, why not hook yourself up
Awe yeah. I was curious because I know a lot of his stuff was made in the USA and I think these are imported. I guess I’ll get to get my hands on it at Home Gym Con on April
I wanted that bar when it was first teased. Then I got my hands on the Hades at HGC. And I had some luck come my way where I could afford another bar and got the Hades. The knurling is good, not over aggro like my double diamond, but a hellava lot more aggressive than my tru grit power bar 😅
I order knurled handles for my power block from this company. Def would recommend that if you like aggressive Knurling this is the company to get it from
It wasn’t mine. It was when we had a house building delay and were living with other family. I WISH I had an outbuilding but as of now it’s not in the cards. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the question.
Regarding your discussion about Kabuki at the end: I am one of the very unlucky ones that spent close to $700 on the black oxide 250k bar, and it ended up arriving to my door with this really ugly "tiger striping" where basically the black oxide was applied terribly and not evenly. It came out really ugly and basically their customer service was non-existent or ghosted me through a 6 week+ period and refused to accept responsibility for the false advertising (their bars certainly dont look this way on their product page) and would not offer a fair refund. It was only after I started making a little more noise and "karen'ing" on an influencer's comment section did Kabuki FINALLY respond to me (through a completely different representative btw, like literally I think Duffin's right-hand man Rusty) and offer me a refund that made the price equivalent to moreso like I was buying a "blemished black oxide power bar". To this day I still think this was a robbery but given how terrible their CS dept was (I think it's literally 1 lady), I just accepted the loss and vowed never to buy from them again (even though I have their BO DL bar, kabuki bar, BO duffalo bar lol) *end rant
Everytime I hear these horror stories the feelings are of disappointment and frustration for your experience. What do you think about the Steel Reaper?
@@TheKurtlocker I haven't touched the bar but based on your review it seems like a serviceable option for those that don't want a bar that everyone else has. I have the kabuki PR DL bar so not in the market for any more DL bars.
@TheKurtlocker I will never understand it, people will buy equipment like kabuki to just deadlift 300 for a top set. It's your money, but you would be just fine with one HALF the price.
Is a deadlift bar worth havin in your gym?
I do like a Deadlift bar in my gym when not focused on Strongman
Just got this one in a few weeks ago, been enjoying it so far.
@@redknight2470 do you have any other bare steel equipment bars?
@@carps_gym I do not, I've heard their power bar is good but 28.5mm. He teased a 29mm power bar and might bring it to HomeGymCon.
No, multiple deadlift bars are worth having in your gym!
Solid tugger
My new call sign

I am hoping to collab to come up with an awesome solution

Totally get it man! One day you’ll be a strapping young lad that wants to pull 3x body weight.
Great review Kurt, definitely interested with the Steel Reaper deadlift bar. Plus looking forward on The Oregon Power Bar, again great review 👍
Thanks for tuning in. Oregon is next week’s video

That’s a good spot to do it!

I want a Hades bar as well man! Looking forward to getting my hands on it at HomeGym Con!
Best home gym channel!
Thank you!
@@TheKurtlocker Will you do a comparison of the stray dog goat and the bulletproof isolator? You should also do a review of the solo stand!
@sodisheveledcrew added to the list!

Bare Steel does a fantastic job
May want to try their hammer handles as well....good aggressive knurl.
You have lots of good equipment but why didnt you stay in the bigger garage. Looked like a better setup and bigger.

@starcraftdad thank you! I try to review stuff that isn’t getting the attention I deserves while still getting high quality.
Algorithm.
Thanks for dropping by! What kind of videos are your favorite?
@@TheKurtlocker Don’t care. Have a good one.
Kabuki is KING! If you're already spedning $400, what's spening another $200 to get the best? You always buy the weirdest, off the wall stuff.
I try to support the companies that others ignore! Thanks for dropping by!

@MelloHubb everyone has their priorities. I’d argue that I’m wildly inconsistent with my own. I do love this bar though. Thanks for dropping by!
