      Thank you my friend, great footage. Excellent work to take care and maintain these classic and legendary cars. I have a few myself, 9-5 Aero -05 sedan, silver metallic, automatic transmission. Driven only 95.000 km. Also 9-3 SC TTid Linear Griffin -12, oak brown, driven 175.000 km. These cars are only driven during the summer.😊

    The green saab you saw was the 92A, the original model as you can see it by not having a trunk and instead having a gas cap. That particalar is a Swedish import as you can see from the old swedish plates. And if I remember correctly the paint was left over from the airplanes after WW2 if I remember correctly.

    I'm so sad I missed the 2023 SOC. I was there in 2021 and 2022. I will definitely try to make my way out for 2024. So happy to see that you took the time to film so those who weren't able to make it can still see it.

    A delight to watch this collective appreciation of a great marque. I have a '94 9000 V6 Griffin which continues to be used as a 'daily driver' and really is a special car. But it seems not many appreciate it for what it is, which is a shame.

    What an awesome video! Thank you for the great walk around. Our Daughter had a 03 93 we bought her in 05 from Saab city in framingham. I LOVED bringing it in for service for her. My ex sister in law had a 90? 9000 manual was a quick car. But our daughters merlo with gray interior auto was my favorite

    That 1945 @19:32 belongs to a Chicago local, extremely nice saab guy. Huge saab fan. He also owns the Sonett V.
    Meeting Nick T. was awesome, as was his Viggen @28:55. He and Shelly are extremely cool people.
    The Turbo-X wagon @30:29 was insane. The owner and his son were very cool. Pretty sure they got the Crowd Favorite award?

    at 8:13, that grill design could be from a mid-late '70s 99. But That one looks customized for that 900 as the 99s didnt have those headlights. That center grill reminds me of our two door '77 99 EMS and our '79 99 Turbo (5 door hatch)

    I don't see a classic Saab 900 Ruby? Approximately 185 Rubys were made for the UK market, all Ruby red. Mine was number 76. I had to sell it due to new London emission regulations. I now have a 95 Aero estate, but I still miss my Ruby.

    I know this is probably the wrong place to send this email, but I didn't know exactly where to send it. My name is Fran Pugliese, my son purchased the 9-5 to get back and forth from college. It drives great, but leaks oil. We want to rebuild the engine, but don't know what are good parts or where to purchase them. We have watched many of your videos and respect the work you do any advice would be greatly appreciated. This is hopefully going to be a project for next summer 2024. Thank you for your time.

    Gotta say none of the post 9000s really "do it" for me. It's not Saabs fault I guess, it really aplies to all cars. Feels like in the 90s something happened and cars made after are different somehow...
    Probably it's a bunch of things, design and technology changes that each on their own doesn't matter but when taken together changes the overall feel. But also changes in society and outlook, the slow move away from making good products to instead making products you cannot work on yourself anymore, to make a car more something you rent than own (particularly clear today that we're on this path), to make it too complicated to work on without a full auto shop, to lock you into expensive dealer service networks and so on.

    • @AutoAutopsy
      @AutoAutopsy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m not sure I agree with that conclusion! All modern Saabs are very easy to work on for the average person!
