Next weekend’s video will include Saturday’s coverage of the event, which will have a mechanic’s challenge (trying to get a 2 stroke and quantum IV running), a C900 transmission rebuild, joy rides, awards ceremonies, and more! Stay tuned 🇸🇪
Super happy to have made it in the video and had a great time meeting you as well! 4:37 was me had that 2007 Saab 9-3 60th anniversary edition! Great video will love the more SOC videos coming out
Great video, Jacob! I was on my way Saturday morning and got 30 miles south of Seattle when I remembered a friends' 50th anniversary party that night. Alas, in spite of the urge to keep driving South, I did the right thing and turned around. 😢🤷🏻♂️ I knew this would be a great SOC as we have so many Saabaholics in the PNW. I really appreciate your video as I at least get to experience it vicariously and am now an SOC member. (Thanks for the extra 3 months referral credit.) 👍🏼🙏 Glad the 9-3 was trouble free! Looking forward to Part 2. 👍🏼🙏
8:09 I picked this Aero up at the auction last summer for $200 non-running. I fixed it up using yours and Kyle's guides, and gave it to my mother in March. She's local to Portland, so I got to tour her around :)
Good to see my ‘92 vert at least got a full view at least in passing. Hope you got a chance to talk to Toby, the woman in blue that owns one of the red Sonetts. She had quite the story to tell.
Loving your enthusiasm from all the way over here in Scotland. Desperately trying to justify keeping two T16s hatch/convertible. Maybe I should be buying a Toppola...😂
Great video! I miss my 2003 Saab 9-3 convertible it was the last year for that body. I'm looking for a SAAB 99 are they reliable and are parts hard to fine? Thanks!
@@AutoAutopsy How good are the V6 2.5 engine, I don't see a lot of them why?! I think they are non- turbo right, which may be better-less things to break down? I'm looking at a 1995 SAAB 900 SE Vert with this engine. It looks like a GM engine to me? Thanks!
@@AutoAutopsy I work in EE automotive design and there is always something keeping me home. However, I do rally race 3 different SAAB 9-3's, that's about all I get time for.
Hey so i am choosing between 2 cars. '03 9-3 Arc 5speed 100k miles which needs a new turbo and brakes (comes with them un-installed) or a '99 9-3 Turbo Hatch 5speed with 90k Miles which needs a new power steering pump, belt pulley and tires (nothing too major). Both are around the same price with little to no rust. Wanted some recommendation on what's the better decision for my first Saab car. Thanks
I personally prefer the NG 9-3’s and have much more experience with them. The turbos rarely fail on them - are you sure it needs a turbo? The NG will have some more modern tech but also is less “Saab.”
@@AutoAutopsy Will probably test drive both and see what I prefer. Some on the forums say the NG engines sludge which didn't really affect the OG. Previous owner is stating that the turbo is blown but starts up, other thing which is a bit of a concern is it was parked for 1.5 years, so fuel system might be dirty too.

I miss going to SOC's. It's been several years. Maybe next year if it's in the North East. Thanks for sharing!

I did not get a chance unfortunately - the amount of cars and knowledge at these events is truly astounding
Thanks for taking the time to shoot and post this video.

You made it! 80s Fanny pack :)
the fanny pack is a VERY underrated accessory lol

Thanks! It’s a bit hard to say any 40-50+ year old car is reliable. Parts, to my knowledge, are mostly available but I am not sure

Bro, thanks for the video. I really wish I could have joined, but work......
