Forza Horizon 3 In its prime was one of best games on xbox especially online I think it better than fh4 and fh5 I'm not hating on fh5 or fh4 but that 2016 era of games was raw
I bought FH3 when it was about to be delisted, and played it instead of 4 until the release of 5. Got bored of 5 and just bought all the DLCs for 3 and now i'm back with 3. It is so much better in every aspect than both 4 and 5. Edit: not to mention how bugged FH5 is on PC. Micro stutters, texture glitches, game not launching etc. it's so frustrating
It is a huge regret I didn't purchased Horizon 3 back in September 2020 when it was about to delisted. Now in order to play it I have to rent a microsoft account to play it and the process is annoying as hell. But it was worth it as Horizon 3 truly feels special, unique and awesome. I can see why people consider it the best of the series.

Horizon 3 is so way better in gameplay also, you could reach 430 KM/H in a Ford GT, and make incredible high speed turns, and well... Nowadays you can't even get an Lambo Veneno in Class X, that's really disappointing

Miss the good old days in 2016 when Forza horizon 3 was very popular, it was indeed the last best Forza horizon game released also the soundtracks on the game are so much better then 4 & 5 which is one of my favorite things in the game, Forza horizon 3 is still my best horizon childhood game till this day😢!

This here. I do feel like FH4/5 did introduce interesting new ideas to the game. FH4 introduced seasons and an entirely new way to go about playing the game with its heavy focus on player interaction rather than just a story, and the things the game introduced later on like The Eliminator and Super7 were neat too. Then FH5 introduced the Accolades system, as well as donating cars through barn finds as well as new features for your cars while driving them (like changing aerodynamic modes or toggling the convertible roof). I also feel like FH5 has a really solid map too. It really is astonishingly diverse: we've got sand dunes, two beaches, grassy plains, forests, a whole mountain with a volcano, perfect for drifting. I'm sure there are plenty of other geographic features I'm missing, but it goes to show that FH5's map is not as plain as it's made out to be in this video. And I feel like saying old buildings = bad map doesn't really consider the whole picture. Great Britain and Mexico take pride in their historic locations, and it would be an injustice to say that PG will accurately represent these locations and then put all modern buildings in place of the country's historic landmarks. I find Great Britain and Mexico's towns quite charming. But, I do agree with the statement that FH3 is the end of an era. I do wish there was more of a sense of progression and more of a focus on the festival aspect of the game then is present in FH4/5. Having a game be ready and (mostly) bug-free is something I miss not only in Forza Horizon, but really in the games industry as a whole. I bought FH3 shortly before it was delisted, and FH1 when it was accidentally put back on sale, and I can't say I can fault people who played those games for saying that FH4/5 are not as good as the first three. (P.S. FH4's soundtrack slaps)

Fh4 is the reason why I fell in love with forza games and it is still the best for me, i really loved the map, it had dunes, big city, small twisty roades, forest, lakes, highway... i just loved how it looked, cant say that about fh5 tho, empty, boring, the only two things i love in fh 5 is tropical storm and new cars. even if the newer games have better cars, better physics, more gameplay and are overall technically better, the older games have a certain magic dust. there's a passion you can feel. same type of creative passion you feel in games like gran turismo 4, nfs most wanted. like these first few horizon games KNEW what they wanted to be.

Forza Horizon 3's colors are the best among all the games i have ever seen. Like, it's realistic enough but not too real because it's bright, and warm, and contrash. Latest Forza feels too hot and too blurry with all the effects. And the map, I mean, it's perfect. Just so diverse! Horizon 5's map is bigger but there are pretty much the same boring desert steppes everywhere. And i loved the fact that in the beginning you have, like, only few stock cars, not like 3 upgraded after the fist mission. The game has some spark, it's hard to explain, but all it's advantages are in the perfect harmony and keep you in a good mood. So pity we can't play online on PC anymore because of microsoft's lack of support for previous titles. I think it was really not cool to remove it from the store. I mean, It's the numbered part of the franchise but all games from big franchises have it's charm. Gran Turismo 5, for example. Just imagine the world in which we are able to buy, like, any game and play online. That's why I love TDU's custom servers and Flatout 2 Openspy. I wish one day enthusiasts could bring back to life Horizon 3's multiplayer again...

Forza horizon 3 was so good and was my first horizon game forza horizon 5 I completed that in less than 2 days! Compared to many days to forza horizon 3. I literally quit forza horizon 5 in 1 or 2 months
Great video! I do disagree with the sunset part when it comes to FH4 though, I think they were amazing in that game. As for the maps, I definitely agree that FH3 had the most diverse map. FH5 might technically have more biomes, but they are so massive, empty and boring for the most part. I will say though, I think FH4 had a great map in terms of actual locations on the map, even though it had the least biome diversity out of all the games.
I remember being excited for fh4 but I just couldnt bring myself to play it cause something felt off about it. It turns out it was the progression you mentioned which only became really apparent in fh5 when I couldnt even bring myself to reach lvl 20 in the game with the awful decisions in story, map, progression, style, etc. One big credit ill give to fh4 though was the winter season which I love. We only had one previous map which was blizzard mountain in fh3 that I also loved so thats what ill say makes fh4 a little less unbearable

Can't believe this game is 6 yrs old already. Too bad it is delisted, never have the chance to play it because back then I didn't have good PC. In my opinion it has better soundtrack than the FH4 plus I want to see a driving game set in sunny Australia. Though yeah.. FH4 is more optimized than FH3.
The only care downside of Forza Horizon 3 is that, it doesn't have Variety of Races. Forza Horizon 3 races becomes repetitive. You do that same thing over and over again. Forza Horizon has too much different races and events. Forza Horizon 4 win in terms of race variety.
Was pretty disappointed with FH4. Everyone knows that UK is small. Why did they use such a map I will never understand. We need a map like Japan with futuristic cities and bigger biomes. FH3 also had the best online games such as infection. Oh but for FH4, they thought cramped horrible AI like generated landscapes was the way to go. And then you know what they disconnected FH3 servers on pc so no multiplayer anymore. After that I swore I would never play another Forza game and its been 3 years. Hadn't spent on a Forza game either. I advise their developer team to have only people that played all the previous FH's to design the game.
I agree to 100% with the last point the others are good but i think in some arguments you dont see it neutral... Like the soundtrack is not bad in fh4 or in fh4 they put a lot of new stuff like the festival playlist or horizon super seven or even Horizon Storys. But with the point FH5 is copy and paste and the map is boring i can agree

A couple new points: 1) This is subjective, but in my opinion the entire layout of Fh4 and 5 is childish and just looks shit. In FH3, the highlighted squares/bars are orange and just on the edge and looks simple and nice, but in FH4 and 5 it’s highlighted pink and in a different way that strikes me as childish, which annoys me. It’s hard to explain, but I just hate the newer layouts. It doesn’t seem important, but hating the layouts so bad has a strong effect on my enjoyment of the game. They need to add a setting for it. 2) The characters in FH4 and 5 are annoying as shit. In FH3 you have Keira, who’s okay I guess and Warren, the barn find dude. Warrens that kinda guy where he can be a little annoying sometimes but he means well. I don’t even remember FH4 and 5’s characters, but every single one just pissed me off. I played FH5 for a grand total of about 3 hours, and Jesus Christ the characters just don’t shut the fuck up. Bonus: The maps are dogshit, don’t get me started on 4. Again, subjective but FH6 should be set in either somewhere else in the USA or Tokyo like everyone wanted since 3

Well that wouldn't be a very smart investment for 1-2 months. It'd have to be a longer period of time to make more sense. I know they'd make a lot of money in 1-2 months, but they'd make even more if it was a more realistic window.
forza horizon 3 was the worst optimized game even using a rtx 4090 you barely get around 60 fps and game randomly crashes and forza horizon 5 is the best optimized it never crashes on even igpu

Progression in FH5 is messed up since Seasonal Event Unlocks Marathon/Coloseus which usually unlocking by playing the game

Latest Forza feels too hot and too blurry with all the effects. And the map, I mean, it's perfect. Just so diverse! Horizon 5's map is bigger but there are pretty much the same boring desert steppes everywhere. And i loved the fact that in the beginning you have, like, only few stock cars, not like 3 upgraded after the fist mission. The game has some spark, it's hard to explain, but all it's advantages are in the perfect harmony and keep you in a good mood. So pity we can't play online on PC anymore because of microsoft's lack of support for previous titles. I think it was really not cool to remove it from the store. I mean, It's the numbered part of the franchise but all games from big franchises have it's charm. Gran Turismo 5, for example. Just imagine the world in which we are able to buy, like, any game and play online. That's why I love TDU's custom servers and Flatout 2 Openspy. I wish one day enthusiasts could bring back to life Horizon 3's multiplayer again...

Forza horizon 3 was so good and was my first horizon game forza horizon 5 I completed that in less than 2 days! Compared to many days to forza horizon 3. I literally quit forza horizon 5 in 1 or 2 months
Great video! I do disagree with the sunset part when it comes to FH4 though, I think they were amazing in that game. As for the maps, I definitely agree that FH3 had the most diverse map. FH5 might technically have more biomes, but they are so massive, empty and boring for the most part. I will say though, I think FH4 had a great map in terms of actual locations on the map, even though it had the least biome diversity out of all the games.
I still play forza horizon 3 and there isn’t going to be any new updates and it makes me really mad but I still love the game

I remember being excited for fh4 but I just couldnt bring myself to play it cause something felt off about it. It turns out it was the progression you mentioned which only became really apparent in fh5 when I couldnt even bring myself to reach lvl 20 in the game with the awful decisions in story, map, progression, style, etc. One big credit ill give to fh4 though was the winter season which I love. We only had one previous map which was blizzard mountain in fh3 that I also loved so thats what ill say makes fh4 a little less unbearable

Can't believe this game is 6 yrs old already. Too bad it is delisted, never have the chance to play it because back then I didn't have good PC. In my opinion it has better soundtrack than the FH4 plus I want to see a driving game set in sunny Australia. Though yeah.. FH4 is more optimized than FH3.
The only care downside of Forza Horizon 3 is that, it doesn't have Variety of Races. Forza Horizon 3 races becomes repetitive. You do that same thing over and over again. Forza Horizon has too much different races and events. Forza Horizon 4 win in terms of race variety.
No 4 and 5's are pretty bad too in that reguard
And hopefully Forza Horizon 6 is much better if it releases in the future
Was pretty disappointed with FH4. Everyone knows that UK is small. Why did they use such a map I will never understand. We need a map like Japan with futuristic cities and bigger biomes. FH3 also had the best online games such as infection. Oh but for FH4, they thought cramped horrible AI like generated landscapes was the way to go. And then you know what they disconnected FH3 servers on pc so no multiplayer anymore. After that I swore I would never play another Forza game and its been 3 years. Hadn't spent on a Forza game either. I advise their developer team to have only people that played all the previous FH's to design the game.
I agree to 100% with the last point the others are good but i think in some arguments you dont see it neutral... Like the soundtrack is not bad in fh4 or in fh4 they put a lot of new stuff like the festival playlist or horizon super seven or even Horizon Storys. But with the point FH5 is copy and paste and the map is boring i can agree

Idk, i really enjoyed FH4, but FH5 is just FH4 + sandstorm. So im not even going to buy it
A couple new points:
1) This is subjective, but in my opinion the entire layout of Fh4 and 5 is childish and just looks shit. In FH3, the highlighted squares/bars are orange and just on the edge and looks simple and nice, but in FH4 and 5 it’s highlighted pink and in a different way that strikes me as childish, which annoys me. It’s hard to explain, but I just hate the newer layouts. It doesn’t seem important, but hating the layouts so bad has a strong effect on my enjoyment of the game. They need to add a setting for it.
2) The characters in FH4 and 5 are annoying as shit. In FH3 you have Keira, who’s okay I guess and Warren, the barn find dude. Warrens that kinda guy where he can be a little annoying sometimes but he means well. I don’t even remember FH4 and 5’s characters, but every single one just pissed me off. I played FH5 for a grand total of about 3 hours, and Jesus Christ the characters just don’t shut the fuck up.
Bonus: The maps are dogshit, don’t get me started on 4. Again, subjective but FH6 should be set in either somewhere else in the USA or Tokyo like everyone wanted since 3
Bro Fr the map is what really puts me down. How do you go from Australia, a great map, to whatever they got going on in 5. It’s just sad they know they have made it in the gaming industry so they don’t need to try and make quality games that would make a fan base.

forza horizon 3 was the worst optimized game even using a rtx 4090 you barely get around 60 fps and game randomly crashes and forza horizon 5 is the best optimized it never crashes on even igpu
Dude that just straight up isn't true about fh5. Idk about 3. I say that because my friend has a top tier computer that runs fh4 and 5 pretty horribly sometimes with flowers looking like crayola crayon drawing and 5 crashes a lot
