Great content Duke. Love my R1S. And it keeps getting better with each OTA update. Home charging is essential now, but as the public charging infrastructure improves, even that negative will be removed.
I have my eye on a R1S since they added the lower cost battery. And yes, the charging infrastructure is getting better every day. Thanks for commenting!
Couldn’t care less less how much faster the rivian is I would get a Durango 392 that’s even slower I’m not racing anyone what’s more important to me is how I feel inside the vehicle I bought and just hearing wind go by the mirrors while I’m driving is not going to do good information on your video nice breakdown
I looked at both and I also own a Tesla model 3 I ended up getting the Durango hellcat because of the engine sound and it can tow 8700lbs with longer distance. The rivian only gets 100 miles at best towing and the charging infrastructure is terrible.
I think the reason that particular gas car was more expensive via insurance is because its being stolen all over the US. But at the end of the day EV's are the future and the way to go.
@@thedukeofmanville Sadly they can be stolen in under a minute by someone who knows what they are doing and they won't even trigger the factory alarm. 🤦♂
not to mention, the quiet (lol). Your neighbors will thank you at 5 AM for not waking them up.
Like mine that make all that noise with his Vette
Absolutely 💯!
@@vandshome they got the hybrid Vette now, creep out the neighborhood in the morning on electric, then Wide Open Throttle on the main road 🙂
I would say performance dual motor is more of a hellcat competitor

Don’t forget oil changes
Exactly! Thanks for commenting!
Facts. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
I'd take a Grand Cherokee Trailhawk over either of them.
The Trailhawk is also slower and more expensive than the Rivian R1S.
Dodge for little boys
😆🤣🤭
Where can we get The Duke of Manville merch? 👕
Coming s00n😅

what are your long term plans with the Rivian? plan on selling or keeping long term? Also, thank you so much for your service sir!
Thank you! I plan on keeping my Rivian long-term, and I may be adding an R1S in the near term until the R2S comes out.

That may be the case. They must be easy to steal unlike most electric vehicles. Thanks for commenting!
