We'll one would have to hear out Novitec on this incarnation. BUT to say having studied the F40 for many years this car does look authentic. The carbon fibre splitter is a modern add on. All LM cars were original F40 chassis numbers homologated for GT1 in the late 80s. Thereafter only 6 of them were reworked as LM GTE cars with a totally reconstructed much larger wing, them being upgraded also from original F40 LM chassis numbers. Everything other than that are probably modern day reincarnates. PS: Agreed! I just took note of the rear deck and body panels aft of the doors... this is not an original F40 LM
This Car....is Pure ART..... an incredible mix of beauty power and speed..... not necessarily in this order.. but that continually blend together, creating something "incomprehensible" and beautiful.
F40 has always been my favorite car and looking at the direction of vehicles I will say it will probably always be on top. With that said this one in particular is it. This would be my dream car. If I had one car to park in my garage this would be it. Thank you so much for sharing the work of art with us.
1:06 ...fanbelt? A fabulous car - one detail I noticed in this video which I'd never picked up on before was the clear support under the rear wing. Many thanks for sharing.
I love the F40! I've had countless debates with friends over which Ferrari is more beautiful the F40 or F50. The F50 fans need to see this. Wow!!! Gorgeous 😍
@@Amarjit_Singh Ya I just looked it up...mehhh. This refurbished F40 is still nicer. The wing on the F50 GT looks ridiculous. Stock to stock the F40 is a nicer design over the F50
I was fortunate to see (and hear) one of these in the flesh at Antwerp Concours d'Elegance, 5th of september 2021. Although it certainly wasn't the only old race car in mint condition there, it was the one I would've taken home if I had to choose one. It looked like it came out of the shop the day before, just like this one. The owner also exposed the car's engine and gave it a good rev. A true low flying racing machine with a license plate on it.
What's the serialnumber of that F-40 ? Pretty sure it's not an original Michelotto LM, but a normal F40 with some cosmetic "LM style" body parts and a tubi exhaust.
F40 allways my number 1 Ferrari forever, and of coarse LM and Competizione will allways be the ultimate version of the dream, I f just could sail in that euro lottery I wouldent have a blink, I had put my A on a plane right away
Does not seems like. A original LM has red fasteners on the rear bonnet, unlike the normal F40 which, like here, has black ones. But thats the only thing on which i can tell its not a original one, I am not that deep into Ferraris.
@@FuryCola13 why doesn't this car get more praise for fitting in 700hp back in like 1991 or something 700hp, 1050kg Now I know why people call this the first hypercar
I was really curious to learn how loud it is at full rev and see it on the track. I'm gonna try to find a video of someone doing a proper all out lățime shoot in one of these.
Somehow I glossed over or was in a rush to get on this vid and missed the LM part, suddenly taking notice during the intro as the camera went over the front end and caught the pressure relief cuts. Okay, I'm saying to myself, like an F40 isn't rare enough, BdK went full monty on the rarity factor by 20fold. I'm committed now, let's see where this goes. 😁👍

LM should be base version. Original F40 is boring. Some cars cooler without special versions. But some should have special version as base. I mean GMA T50 Nicki Lauda.
THIS is how you do a F40, because if you don't you'll be on the side of the road after constant overheating and other breakdowns. That car in stock form is highly unreliable at best.
the loudest part was the belt!
This is absolutely for me the most perfect car ever made ❤️ completely stunning in everyway
I agree. I mean the numbers are bonkers for this generation. I could only imagine what this thing was like 30+ years ago
@@sjf1981 i agree to this version is the best LM
One of the best looking road car based competition cars ever built!
The most beautiful automobile ever built, a legendary masterpiece, Scuderia Ferrari.
The GOAT of GOATs. F50 GT is the only car that can hold a candle to this one for me.
what about the:
mclaren f1 lm and clk gtr??
Ferrari F40 Wheels was genesis for my Love for 5 spoke wheels .... they never gets old!!!!!!
Sick car, doesn’t appear to be a genuine LM though just an F40 with some mods
Yes you are right its not a lm
Disappointed, it’s so nice. But I could never mod an f40. Unless I had 3 of them.
Right if it was a true LM it would be worth north of 4milliob

thought the same
Best looking ferrari in my opinion
This car is ageless man!
It looks beautiful and refined but somehow raw and mean at the same time.

F40 fans need to hear that V12 in the F50 GT. The F40 is a Beast, but honestly it's really the V8 bastard child of Ferrari halo cars!!!
Both are good
Most beautiful modern car of all time!

My all time favorite Ferrari period!🙌👌🥰👉♥️👍
Excellent car ,absolutely amazing .. also belts needs tightening.. screams a lot when u touch the throttle!
Just as beautiful as I remember ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Imagine an F40 LM with an straight piped Novitec exhaust xD
My question is how did they manage go get a road legal car to have 700 HP in 1990??!??

In fact Enzo had no say in Ferrari road cars since 1969.
That F40 LM is to todays Ferraris like cool uncle who's way cooler than nephews and the most coolest person in entire family :))
