It was a movie from 2005 and I fell like in that time films were more realistic than now even if we are taliking about CGI battle scenes, they seem to have been made better.
Trebuchets always go so hard in movies. The best part of Gladiator 2 was the 10 second long bit in the opening battle where they fire one. Maybe I just play too much Age of Empires 2.
It's a mistake that Hollywood movies often make during archery scenes in historical movies, using the command "fire" (which only originated later in the firearms age) instead of "loose" (as in let loose your bow's draw strings). Even in the Battle of Helm's Deep in the Two Towers LOTR movie, they mistakenly say they're firing arrows.
Why do they scream "fire" when shooting arrows and launching rocks? Isnt fire something we started saying after we used projectile weapons that used explosions (fire) to propel muniton?
The Extended Edition was such a good watch. We don't get historical epics like we did in the 2000's anymore.
Really is that available for streaming or only if you buy the flim?
@@kingjusticeyt1358it’s available on basically everywhere just search the directors cut
Something tells me you call The Lord of The Rings a historical epic

It was over for Jerusalem before it started
They forgot to dig a ditch
Perhaps the real crusades were the ditches we made along the way.
Breathless courier: "My lord Salladin, the crusaders, they have a, a, a...."
Salladin; "A ditch 😧 FALLBACK!!!"
0:46 1:22 "Legolas, what do your elf eyes see?"
He's got pretty good eye sight!
1:04 I think I heard wilhelm scream.
hes ok
More like the crappy editor dragged and dropped the audio clip of the Willhelm Scream in without even attempting to make it sound natural.

There's no such thing as too much AoE II.
What happened to Ridley Scott! His new stuff dosent hold a candle to what he used to make.
Wasn't this before his brother's death?
Why would they scream fire? Like, firing a gun that hasn't been invented yet. Probably yell, loose or something.
Because he wants them to throw fire, notice how he also shouts oil right before they pour it down
@@robinkoenjer1030 in this case it made a bit sense, but not for the trebuchet scene

1:04 By Allah! They have killed Sultan Al Wilhelm!
As an idiot King 0:08 bro did do some workouts.

Don’t look at Kingdom of Heaven with a historical eye, in this department the movie is attrocious.
Well they did throw incendiary bombs right?
Pretty sure they should be saying "loose"
For jerusalem!!!!
Balian would have won had Guy of Lusignan not taken away the bulk of the Christian army on a suicide mission into the desert.
He's part of guy's troop marching to hattin, positioned in rear but manage to flee
ngl when i watch this film. I get the feeling this film takes inspiration for the Aserai Citys in mount and blade 2 bannerlord
Feels unreal reading this comment after I just conquered all of Aserai this morning😂
This was produced 4 years prior :)
I was thinking Stronghold.
The forces of Mordor…
Second🎉
A fiction that people, specially arabs, naively is a masterpiece; but surely great production.
