    I put in 9 today, from Holland's Fall Sale. ..with a few bags of crocus. I did hundreds of Tulips and Daffs the past couple years and have over 150 more to go this year. Can't resist the sales...and thankfully we have a double size yard, and i can give some as gifts.

      Gardeners Supply has nice looking tomato towers that look nothing like a tomato cage from Lowe’s. They have all kinds of plant supports, but they do cost more. But if you look at something and can’t envision it in your landscape, it’s not worth the time, money or effort. I’m sure you will figure something out. Thanks for sharing those lovely lily trees. I did not know there was such a thing. Happy gardening 👩‍🌾.

    Hi Jenny. Gorgeous lilies. I have to put those garden treasures lily on my wish list. I was hoping you would have gone into more detail on the site condition (sun exposure and soil condition) for your lilies. Also, how deeply you planted them and your feeding regiment and after care once they stop blooming. Do you have to give special protection during the winter months? They are lovely specimen and obviously are thriving in your garden.

    • @HarmonyHillsHomeandGarden
      @HarmonyHillsHomeandGarden  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Stacy, thanks! I think I did mention that I planted mine in my native clay soil with no problem, and that I just followed the package directions in how deep to plant them... sorry, I can't remember, it was a few years ago when I planted them. No special protection in winter. I just trim the flowers off when they're done, and enjoy the greenery the rest of the summer as it gathers strength from the sun for next year's blossoms. The bulbs require full to part sun conditions. I don't do anything special to feed them at all - they probably get a handful of somethign like PlantTone in the spring, but otherwise, nothing special. I don't even do extra hand water for them. Very easy care!

    They are beautiful! Sounds like the cicadas are gone. We in Michigan are now battling the “jumping worm”. Have you heard of them? They are not good for the soil.

      Yep, cicadas are gone now, thank goodness. Jumping worms? Oh my!!!!!!

    • @JulieMikalson
      @JulieMikalson ปีที่แล้ว

      We are fighting this invasive red wiggler in the west coast also. They thrash about wildly compared to regular redworms, and leave soil as dry sandy dust. Idaho will not allow plants with soil to be brought in. It is best to remove/rinse off all soil from plants that are being shared with others in plant swaps if you are not certain your soil is free of the invasive worm.

    LOL Lily Tree Clump, so in other words It's a Lily Hedge. For Most Variety of Flowers Pollen is on The Stamen, but for Lilies I've heard Them call those Anthers, i heard them say Remove The Anthers, Maybe that's just were The Pollen Clumps up at the end. and the Rest is the Stamen. I Don't Know, I'm not a Botanist. Ive seen some People cut the Stalks into Clippings and Grow More Lilies That way. But just make sure your not giving them to Cat People. Lilies are not Cat Friendly.
